Epicyclo – There is plenty of clearence. Works fine.

You weren’t tempted by their matching titanium ‘bars, stem and seat post then ?

Nahh, didnt think the bars and stems looked that good. I thought they might be abit on the flexy side.

PushBikeRider – Andrew, feel free to drop me an email. Just looked at your site, some interesting bits on there.

Kaiser – I dont mind saying at all. Frame with shipping to the UK came to around the £600 mark. I didnt pay import duty, so it could have been more.

    Thanks for all the comments.

How’s it work with the spacing being different on the Ultegra cassette to an MTB one?

It seems to work fine. No problems as yet anyway.
I haven’t ridden it in any really muddy conditions yet. So can’t tell for sure.

And i’m not sure on the SS, gears are just easier 😆

    Evening,

Simple, you need a program that will do it.
Nero is probably the best, there is plenty of personalisation with the menu’s and options.
But windows has one built in, its called Windows DVD maker. You drag in the AVI files, and it then makes a ‘proper’ DVD from them. It does take a while. About 30 min for a full DVD because it has to process all the AVI information.
If you haven’t got the windows program theres plenty of free ones out there. Just google ‘Free DVD maker’

Having just read the OP’s second post.

As the guy above says. Just a DVI cable will work fine. It is designed to have a better picture, so no point converting.

    Evening..

I have got the whole double screen thing going at the moment. With the same graphics card.
You need a little adapter that goes from DVI to VGA, so you can then use a normal monitor lead to get from the graphics card to the monitor.

Once it’s all plugged in. Easiest way to do it, is left click on the desktop and go to the graphics/display settings. If your running Windows 7 there is a button that says ‘Identify’ just click that and it will to all the double screen setting automatically.
Think windows vista is the same.
But with XP, just select the click box where is says use dual screen, then use the click and drag boxes and the options that come up to make it how you want it.

    Hope that helps

I have done it a few times before. Never had a problem.
You probs know this, but the only details they need is sort code and account number.
If they asked for anything more, i would then get suspicious.

    Ben,
Thank you for having a look, and giving me the email address. I have sent them an email, so we will see what they come back with.

    Leffeboy,
Exactly what i was thinking of doing, but I cant get my head round the circuit they would have to go in.
I know it will be really simple, but its just not clicking 😯

Anybody else know how i can make a switch that basically has 2 buttons, one for up and one for down?
Its got to be simple, i just cant get my head around it.

Bit early to get to excited..

But i am working on a Di2 shifter that is integrated into the lock on part of a grip.
This might not be the best place to talk about it, but if your interested (just in the workings) drop me a email, and i can keep you up dated.

Also feel free to criticise, i’m a 18 year old, having a year out between A-Levels and Uni, so need something to keep me entertained.

    Good point made by John…

I presumed you want the system for actually taking to events that didn't have there own equipment. (For example village halls ect).
If its just for rehearsing then as John says there's no need for anything to powerful.

If you are using to power events. To get a basic idea of size you need to look the the W's the system puts out. As a basic idea (Please correct if not exact) –

    200W = 0 – 200 people
    400W = 200 – 400 people
    600w = 400 – 600 people
    And so on.

That is how I view it anyway, and tend to base the gigs I do on that system. It always seems to go down ok..

I have got one of these – LINK

There actually pretty good, bit flexy at times, but as long as you use a QR skewer in the wheel when its in the tool, it works fine.
The dishing tool is good as well, and for £85. I don't think you will get any better.

    Evening,

The one you have linked to is a pretty decent basic set up. The one thing I would say is the built in amp/mixer isn't always the best option.

If he gets to the stage where he needs to mic up the drummer properly, drum microphones are a great investment, but do need around 4-6 channels. You can pick up a set of drum mic's for around £100 and they do make a difference.

Obviously it does cost a bit more to get a separate amp and mixer. But at least it means it would (in theory) cost less in the future to upgrade.
Something like this – LINK TO EBAY isn't bad for the speaker set up. And then a simple mixer like this LINK TO EBAY

All depends on how much you are looking to spend.
One think definitely worth saying, is the system can be a good as possible. But you need to spend some decent money on microphones, otherwise its not worth it.

Hope that helps, let me know if you need any more info, i am more than happy to help.
    Cheers

    Hi

I run the MTB26 wheels. And I have had no problems at all. Amazing wheels actually light and pretty robust..

    Have you had a problem?

Thanks for all the advice, I knew this was a good place to ask..

Anyway, been down to the London Camera Exchange in Derby today, and had a 'feel'. Think its going to be the Canon 30D. I liked how it felt over the nikons, and the olympus's where a tad on the small side.

On another note, i have got a fair few Olympus OM lenses, and i have found adapters on ebay to fit these lenses to Canon cameras, has anybody done this? What results did you get?

Surf-Mat – Cheers mate, it certainly rides well, as well as looking pretty cool.

Becky_Kirk43 – Yeah its so different, get non of the 'lag' you get on a cable system, and the front mech shifts perfectly every time, it really is amazing.

    O and Barelyincontrol – i am getting that sorted….

    Crell,

Yeah you are right, it does mean that the chainline is still way out, CFH was just referring to the fact the front mech self adjusts so the chain never rubs on the front mech, which is a great feature.

And yep, i will say it again, school boy error with the gear set up in the photo.

    Adding to post above-
If you do get a customs charge, allow for around 20% of the items value, and then usually a £8 handling fee.
*Handling fee is usually charged when parcel-force deal with it. Not 100% sure about other companies, but worth mentioning.

Bloodynora – I usually get stuff from USA in around 7 days. If it gets held up at customs add a few days to that cause you have to pay the fee's.

As to the OP's question, if your getting it shipped to a mate in the US, get them to re-package it (take out anything to do with the shop) and then re-post it. Get them to declare it as a gift (which it is really) and it should get through customs.
Anything with added insurance will usually get checked at customs, because they assume if its worth insuring, its going to be worth checking…

A2Z hubs are pretty good, can be got for about £130 a pair.

There pretty similar to American classic hubs, lighter than hope, quieter, and I think better for you money…

Thanks for the replies about the pin, i got a new one from my LBS, they managed to dig one out.

But regards to the stuck piston, is there any way to get it out. Or is it time for a new calliper?

American Classic wheels are definitely worth looking at.

I have got a pair of the MTB26's but there more of an XC wheelset. They do an all mountain wheelset which is light, fairly wide, and really robust.
The hubs are the best part of them, lighter than hope, really good quality, and run soooooo smoothly.

In my opinion, definitely worth a look.

Once its in your account its yours, and even though it takes a while to get from your paypal account to the bank, its perfectly safe.

Also a 'gift' payment cant be withdrawn, or disputed.

One slight problem is, if its for a large amount they might put a hold on it to 'check' it.
This might just be random buts its happened to me once and took 3 days to get to the receiver.

    Right…

I have just tried it and its pretty easy. To the left of the screen there is the 'Navigation panel' which will have a list of all you tables and the queries that go along with it.
(if its not there, there are 2 >> arrows click on that and it will pop open)

Just right click on the query you want to close, click delete and bobs your uncle.
If it says cant be deleted cause its open, find the query on the main screen (to the right) right click and close it, then try deleting it again.

    Hope that helps..
