That estimate is from the car park a mile or so from the ‘start’…….

    2-2.5hrs up……30-45mins down……weather dependant…..roughly 🙂

Not convinced shop staff were key in any under hand shenanigans! Most probs were thinking what they were relaying was correct.

    Mis-placed anger.

I sense you are all gagging for the update 🙂

Uberbike have said you can flip it…..and flipping on the diagonal axis give the same orientation.

However it also delivers a bobbins chainline…….so FS: Uberbike 32T Oval Chainring 🙂

No spacer with it……and i now have a memory that I tried with bigger ‘standard’ rings and the frame has limited clearance 🙂

    Thanks for helping!

Will check that ‘profile’ too…..its flipped so think(ish) it should be OK…..but seeds of doubt planted 🙂

There are spacers to nudge out the guide on the OneUp 😉

Its not direct mount…..and no spacer like OneUp to adjust……

    Will check chainlink tomorrow……

Not a boost bike……maybe I bought a boost CR…..not sure they are a thing though….it would be the crank shirley

I don’t think so as with standard bolts on a ‘normal’ ring it would be roughly this line……it’s because on the Uberbike CR you only use the screw part on the CR Bolt……it can only be mounted from one side……

OK – not buying new.  RR’s I have are Snakeskin/TLE – old style Schwalbe not the new ones with coloured lines on them 🙂

Certainly it has lots of old train line activity and some road……doubt it is actually more road though.

Hi – did the 75 (5 extra for getting lost) last year and doing it again this year (not the being lost bit).

Hardtail with Rocket Rons up at 50 psi.  Mate did it on his gravel bike.

Only real one bit that you would really call MTBing.

This year I have just fit Thunder Burts to make it easier to keep up with my mate.

I had heard that the first section of the SDW was a little convoluted…..hence the thought that a GPS would be a good purchase.

Chances are that work will subsidise the purchase – as it a work team building / charity jobby.

Now I am even more unsure of best plan 😀

Budget = will get the best solution out there 🙂

Plan is to test out on off road trail centres etc…..then local off road stuff so should be well set for SDW in June (all in theory) 🙂

What do i want it to do?

I would like an easy to navigate map from an uploaded GPX.  Easy to see if you have gone wrong…..easy to ensure you are on the right track.

If it uploads the ride to Strava then great – as saves the phone doing it.

    Thats about it.

Wahoo Element – thats it.  Better than Garmin or stick with Garmin?

Can you upload an off road GPX route and then follow it on screen?

Planning on SDW in the summer and would like to follow a route on a gps system

    Thanks

Simon – my BiLs’ wife is croatian-austrian……and they only know of fire tracks (but great views)…..but they did say there was a high mountain there…….but unsure whether to bother taking my bike os simply hire a HT when out there….

Rode from Matlock to Hassop Station today and it varied from compacted slidey snow to slushiness.

I would expect wet and slushy at worst by tomorrow……and loads of dripping in the 6 x tunnels 🙂
