seosamh77 – i think that singletrack back down from lochan fada is the trickiest thing i’ve ridden in scotland. it didn’t help my confidence that i was trying it on my own. steep, tight and rocky…

as you say tho, stunning views up there

I did exactly the same. You need someone with you for that ride.

For sub £2000 I’d be going home with a Wolf Ridge and some change. £1600 for a 6.9? Mental.

I just ordered myself one of them. As you say….bargain 😀

I think the only thing I’m likely to change is triple down to double.

    Ruptured appendix.

3 days of feeling a bit rough followed by a lot of pain.

When the on-call doctor phoned the hospital to get surgery prepped I kind of became…erm….tranquil.

I have a 2006/7 Meta 5 VIP in my garage that has a cracked headtube. This should fit.

I could strip the rear off tomorrow night and put it in the post on saturday.

I can’t remember the exact condition.

Does £30 plus postage sound OK?

Don’t know about today as I was asleep in the passenger seat 🙂

It was -20 in Keith on friday morning. It was a bit chilly putting fuel in.

Don’t think it is all that cold on the Moray Firth, a t-shirt would have been ok in this photo, but the wind is absolutely baltic.

It was a good day, lots of smiles despite it being cold and wet.

Absolutely stunning scenery in the snow.

The hike up from the cottage is a serious ballache, or it was for me. Close to 500m vert ascent IIRC, and it’s too steep to really push the bike for a large part. And the descent off the other side isn’t even that special.

The worse section of ‘biking’ I have ever done. Hated every moment of that section.

Here’s a wee reminder for you Vosh 👿

    Yep.

Hardest bit is at about 1.20 on Krembo’s vid, if you take the left hand line the steps are wheelbase apart. Lots of muscle and or skill required.

The best technique I've found is to just ride in a straight line.

Occasionally one of the trees will get in the way 🙂

she can just steer, brake and shout out the orders.

    No change there then 😉

Pry open the stem with a screwdriver as you slide it on.

If the steerer was cut with a pipe cutter then it's outside diameter may have increased slightly at the top.

Men should act sooner in general- dude

I learned that lesson the hard way.

Similar symptoms to the OP which I ignored until the point where I was puking green stuff and curled up in a ball in agony. A ruptured appendix is not nice.
