Lochan Fada to Loch Maree for me.
I’m going to head back this summer and have another go. Last time I was on my own and lost all my confidence when I came upto the first hard bit.

It looks similar to a bite I had when I worked in an RAF engine bay (engine coming in from hot and sunny places). The bite looked like an ulcer after 4 hours and I felt ill, after 8 hours I was taken to hospital and given my own pressurised room on lots of anti biotics.

    I’d phone a doctor.

I bought my last new bike cheap, stripped it, sold the stuff I didn’t want and rebuilt it with lots of bits off my old bike.
I always keep the old frame for a little while until I’m happy that the new one is staying.

I won’t order chips, I’ll just have some of yours.

This…..if you want chips, order your own sodding chips 👿

I use a cheap b&q one. I don’t think it will last a lifetime but seems is ok for the price.
If it’s proper claggy mud it will only do one bike properly.

Rode San Marino today. When I got to the bottom I did an about turn, rode to the top and had another go :-). Lovely to ride it in the dry for the first time in an eternity.

A 2.3 Butcher Control came in 0.09″ smaller than the 2.5 minion when I measured last night.
Same rim (21mm internal) at same pressures. The minion was actually 2.24″.

I had something similar many years ago. My appendix ruptured after three days.
    I’m not a doctor though 🙂

I did the same to a set of Jo’s Revelations 😳 Stripped and rebuilt them with original bits and everything was fine.

Also, even on coil forks the fork leg’s effectively a low pressure air spring. Used to have fun playing around with air gaps in cheap motorbike forks trying to make them work better.

*thinks back to when TJ used to visit suspension threads*

Edit…I agree with you and him.

Nearly a bottle of red, whose name I cannot remember as I have been awake for over 30 hours, and the kitchen is too far away to look.
I may feel a bit crap tomorrow.

I do a nine day fortnight, getting every other Friday off, for an averaged 37 hour week. I really would not like to go back to a five day week.

Back to the OP, I would prefer to work the 4 x 10 option.

I had four of the local scumbags sent to prison after they gave me an absolute pasting (they were taking running kicks at my head). Before the trial I was receiving death threats and my home was coincidentally burgled three times.

I have given first aid to a stranger who had been punched to the ground during a mass drunken brawl as the fight went on around me. I was perfectly sober. The guy died a few days later and I had to appear at court as a witness.

I see the first one as braver as the second one was just a snap reaction.

The only expensive tools I have are my Allen keys and sockets. The rest are just brand X type stuff as they don’t get enough use to justify expense/quality.
That said my favourite tools are wooden blocks, aluminium drifts and hammers 🙂

I’m adequate at all five of them (projected 5 A’s)

Improve your English for a start! Adequate is not the best description of 5 grade A’s 😯

Any padded short liner or Lycra shorts that are non-bib.

Bib-shorts just feel so much better.

She’s not “amorous”. She’s had 2 weeks of new-born Flying Ox and me being away at work, getting a glorious average of 9 hours sleep a day.

I’m sure you would get an argument though. 🙂

I have run just over 4 miles in 24 minutes on a mixed outdoors run.
I would say that means about 18:40 for me. It was 10 years ago though……mmmm…..new goal for me I think.

Do you never wind them out to 160 hairyscary? I only use the bike for more gravity orientated rides, as even in stock form, it’s over kill for most British trail centre riding! Moreover, on that sort of riding, the Pike is just fine as it is (trail centre stuff)

I can’t remember the last time I did. I don’t take it on any dedicated DH stuff, but do a lot of my riding in the Scottish hills.
The 2 step would be frustrating as it would be….not quite enough or a little bit too much.

I would not put the 2-step Lyriks on…..unless you convert it to u-turn.
I have a set of 2010 mico u-turns fitted to my Wolfridge and rarely run it more than 140mm. The damping is the improvement, not the extra travel.
