I’ve had something similar for about 5 years in my right shoulder. The twang/spasm is enough that my arm moves involuntarily by a few inches. I suspect I have damaged something during one of my many falls from my bike. 🙂
Fortunately I am left handed so have avoided throwing cups of tea or pints about the place.
I can’t help with a diagnosis as I can’t be bothered to see a GP/physio. All I can say is than mine has got no worse over 5 years.

I’ve checked the shed, it’s not there.

Are you sure? We’ve seen the size of your ‘shed’.

The bolt/top cap are only needed to load the bearing, so it doesn’t matter if it’s a bit sqiunt.

Or men that fish coins out of a little pocket in their wallet. Otherwise known as A PURSE.
So where exactly are you supposed to keep your coins, then?
In your trouser pocket. Like a man. Instead of standing at the bar hunched up like a rodent squinting into your purse.

I thought the etiquette was to pay with a fresh note at every visit to the bar and return home with approximately £30 in loose change……obviously in your pocket.

I reckon some racing snake will be along pretty soon and take about 2 minutes off my time, and like you say it’s a climb so who cares*

    Suburban……

I’m not sure what/who betts is.

My name is Matt Smith and I ride a Whyte 146 around Millstone and Bennechie a fair bit, usually from DonView on Tuesday and Thursday’s.

I’m also a bit biased, hidden gem of a hill.

Any of the multi-peak routes around Bennachie and Millstone would be my suggestion. If I get my car back before Sunday I could show you round, although I’m sure you’ve done some of the trails before.

Trail: Coire Lair to Achnashellach near Torridon.
Centre: Got to be Laggan. I’ve ridden there dozens of times and never get bored of it.

Don’t get me wrong, I use them myself and think they are great, but they do fail over time.

They are not as permanent as a ‘proper’ patch though.

You’ll probably find that the little bit of springy metal wire is also worn. I tried to bodge it without success.

My bike started to make some knocking noises on yesterday’s ride. This was the culprit. No riding for me 🙁

    anthropomorphisation and compartmentalisation.

I have to concentrate really hard when I try to pronounce either of these and consequently end up looking a bit simple 😳

They were brilliant in the Mid to late eighties and the early nineties.
Having listened to the live album 101 endlessly I was expecting the Violator tour to be amazing…..oh how I was let down, their show at the NEC has to go down as the worst concert I have ever been to 🙁

I rode Scolty today. The FC have driven their harvesters up the trails from the mast and deliberately wrecked them 🙁
    They are not harvesting there.

i would maybe entertain millstone/benachie as its gradiants a bit much for water to sit on and its pretty well armoured.

Aye, it’s definitely not sitting at the moment, sections of the Don View to Millstone climb are now a stream.

I’ve been to Yosemite a couple of times, it is very impressive. Go for a hike up halfome, but go very early to avoid the crowds.
I’ve also had a lovely romantic, candlelit meal at Tahoe City on the banks of Lake Tahoe……well when I say romantic, what I mean is myself and my Glaswegian workmate getting drunk on wine and port. 🙂

Yes I feel better off than last year, as I have for each of the last five years. The oil and gas industry in Aberdeen seems to have been pretty much unaffected by the UK recession.

I’ve had Laggan, Golspie, Balblair, Pitfichie and the Moray monster trails to myself. Scotland is ace.
I used to ride Glen Fiddich and Glen Livet a lot and only ever saw one person, once…..Scotland is ace.

Mine burst at the age of 19. I’d ignored the ‘grumbling’ symptoms for a few days but had to call a doctor when the pain became too much. After he had examined me he politely asked if it was ok to use the house phone, as he needed to call the hospital to arrange surgery for my ruptured appendix and to call an ambulance……I didn’t refuse 😀
I ended up having emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix with peritonitis and spent nearly two weeks on a high dependency unit. I lost a lot of weight .
It probably took me about two months to get back to full strength………at which point a bunch of local morons tried their level best to kick my head from my shoulders.
Shit couple of months all in all.

The high dependency unit was a horrible place, watching people gradually getting more and more attention and then in the morning their bed was empty 🙁

Chromag. The only reason I don’t use it any more is that my latest frame has a built in seat clamp. It was operated a lot for about 4 years and still looks and works as well as the day I bought it.

One of the reasons I left the RAF was the likelihood that my next posting would take me from Scotland to East Anglia…..the thought makes me feel ill.
I now live and work in the north east of Scotland and have amazing riding locally, can be in the cairngorms in under an hour and can easily get to Torridon for a weekend away.

I do not regret leaving a good career in the slightest to stay where the riding is good.
