A tight fitting or zipped jersey pocket, but I’m always nervous that it is going to get smashed when I crash. I think I may have to invest in a small GPS that I can attach to the bike and ditch the phone altogether.

To climb the north path up Millstone Hill, Aberdeenshire to its saddle, with no dabs or rests.. (It’s called ‘Millstone un-climbable climb’ on Strava)
It’s 1/2 mile long with an average gradient of 11%, the first 1/3 of which is 17% and is very technical almost all the way up.
The first time I tried it I honestly could not see how anyone could climb it……a few weeks ago I made it with one fail/30 second breather. It will not defeat me 🙂

A trail centre special for me this weekend.
Laggan on Saturday. 1x green, 1x upper red, 2x orange, 2x lower red and 3x black.
Slept in my car on Saturday night.
Golspie x2 and Balblair x1 1/2 on Sunday chasing a very fit DH guy.
My legs were completely shot for the last half of Balblair.

Done, and that has just emphasised how important mountain biking is in my life.

    …..agreed about the Scotland thing.

I will be riding light and on an ‘enduro sled’ so I may give it a go.
    I’ll report back next week.
    Cheers all.

I did feel a little sorry for one of the little buggers I got yesterday with a proper trap as I don’t think it killed it instantly. There was a fair amount of scratching after the initial thud.

Last year I set my traps and after a few days found them empty of bait and not triggered. Whilst refilling them I set one off and trapped my finger…….outsmarted by a mouse 😀

Aye, I did that a few years ago……..I avoided the bog on the return leg though 😀

There’s the path out Redpoint as well that I’ve not done yet.

    Still plenty of choice.

    Cool, cheers Colin.
Looks like I’ll be giving Lochan Fada and Gleann Bianasdail another go then.

Yeah, I noticed the logo/valves … set up tubeless by the shop, what can I do

They’ll match (sort of) on the driveside, which, as everyone knows, is the side you should photograph your bike from.

    Edit: Nice bike.

Toilet roll would have been a good option for me on Saturday, although the spagnum moss did a perfectly good job.

You might get away with it, but there’s always someone somewhere with a big nose who knows.

Stop me, but I’m sure I’ve heard that one before

Reckon there’s a sliding scale of all day comfort vs protection and it’s partly where you place the compromise

I’ve tried on loads of types of knee pad and always end up buying anther pair of IXS slopes (hardcap DH type). I just can’t imagine the minimalist ones actually working and don’t want to risk it.

I was pushed into my mate and accidentally head butted him. One of his bottom teeth went clean through his lip and cut my forehead.
There was a lot of blood.

Until my early 30’s, shit jobs and going out on the lash a lot meant no savings.
Until early 40’s, house ownership and losing money on the sale of the house meant no savings and credit card debt!
Now I’m 45 I have enough savings to last about a year without a job.

When I had no savings I was not worried at all, now I have savings I wonder if I have enough 😕

To the motor factors to buy new brake calipers for my car as one of the rears had seized on. Then wasting the day changing them and bleeding them (never done it before, so it was a learning process).
Why do people like to work on cars? Messy, cold and a waste of time.

Tomorrow will be Scolty Hill in Aberdeenshire.

£12 Million for mobile flood defences for the UK.

They should have run the articles back to back.

The top of Bheinn a’Bhuird to the Quoich Water is about 4 miles and from memory is all downhill with a lot of singletrack. About 11% average gradient.

At a house party in 1990 a bunch of local thugs punched me to the floor and then proceeded to kick my head against a doorstep until I became unconscious. I don’t know how long they were kicking me for but it felt like an eternity. I’ve been told that they only stopped when my brother realised what was happening and came to my aid………everyone else at the party was too scared to help!
It scared the shit and piss out of me……..literally 😳

Rather embarrassingly a mouse got the chocolate from a trap without setting it off, while reloading the trap I managed to set it off and trap my finger.
    Outwitted by a mouse 🙁

New Perfetto looks awesome, but lacks both sleeves and cheapness requested by OP

Just off out now wearing mine. Arm warmers if it gets damp. Awesome top.
