Hi Ringo. I had a 5.5 a while ago and it's a very capable frame. Nice slackish geometry which gives you lots of confidence going downhill. The VPP suspension system works really well tracking the smallest of bumps but ensure you keep the bearings in tip-top condition as otherwise they get gritty and aren't as smooth so maintenance is very important. They ccan be built up quite beefy, as I ran mine with FOX 36's for a while but being honest it's better as a fast XC/Enduro bike and be built up to 25lb but it will cost you. The frames are very well made and cable routing is nice a clean, as for finish mine was a ball-burnished but the painted ones can suffer a bit but it's only paint at the end of the day and they are mean't to be ridden.
Some days I really loved the bike, it sort of inspired you to ride faster but then some days it was "ordinary" – I think it was more to do with the rider to be honest lol. Here's a picture of the final build of mine too for.

I once said to my gf I got her something she would like – as a treat. It was some Armani aftershave – for me – she said she liked the smell!!!! didn't go down very well at all even if it was meant as a joke

Jesus, it ain't just hi-fi shops that treat punters like that. One of my lbs is very bad. They know me well enough but one day I went in wearing tee and jeans and was totally ignored by the whole lot of them. Next time I went in wearing tee, shorts and a pair of Oakleys and it was like flies round shit! Just made me laugh really. As for hi-fi shops any decent one would politely tell you that you may need to book a demo but if they were quiet most will accomodate you. The guy who you spoke to must have been having a very bad day

Speakers first for sure and as you didn't state a budget you couldn't go far wrong with something like the latest little Wharfedale Diamonds.

Flog it on fleabay but to save costs do it on a free listings day. You will be surprised by what will sell but bands like U2, Kiss etc etc are very very collectable. I sold a Kiss programme from a 1980's concerts and it went for nearly £50! I was going bin it! You just never ever know.

Sounds like you've re-assembled it incorrectly. Strip it down again and have another go. Go to the Park website for info.

Yip I am and yes what a pile of crap. Still, Stoke aren't an easy team to beat at home but Kuyt should have grabbed the win at the end with that header. Never mind it's just a game

I've found one still with a few days to go at £36 and a buy now at £86 so it don't look such a bargain. It is used too.

My Turner 5 Spot if I had to pick one. The whole package was well sorted, 140mm Vans up front and a DHX Coil rear with a ti spring set dead right for my weight. Brilliant ride and found out how good it was when I didn't have it any longer- as usual lol. All the other long travel FS bikes just couldn't match it for it's all round abilities. It was the older 2005 HL version, one of the very last and I would love to get another.

A DSLR's flexibility or capability won't do what a CP filter will do – neither will any image re-working application so do get one as they are very useful in the right circumstances.

Get a tripod – top one is not in focus and you need to control your depth of field better. The colours need to be a touch warmer too but enjoy – it's a great hobby

All levels were fine, topped up and right mix. It's a 2003 BMW 3 litre – ain't going to be cheap I reckon :-(

Having the f2.8 stop gives you loads of control on depth of field and also assists to focus easier, especially manually which I still do an awful lot using my kit. I've the Canon EF70-200L IS f2.8 and it's possibly their best being razor sharp and very very versatile. Admittedly not cheap but if it's your hobby so what. I did have a Sigma many years ago and for less than half the cost of the Canon it's a very very good lens. I'd be tempted check second-hand places (Mifsuds or Ffordes etc) for a Sigma or even a Nikkor and I promise you, you will not regret it.

Forgetting the rights and wrongs about the wars etc look at it like this. If we protested in their countries at their "brave" warriors who use bags full of explosives to blow commuters up on trains or fly into buildings etc etc, we would be taken prisoner, taken as a hostage, tied to a chair and blind-folded to have our heads taken off – or we would be killled on the spot and used as propoganda!!!!! And we are supposed to allow these extremists protest in OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!!! Disgrace, an absolute disgrace!

I don't get his "dull" thing when being ridden – that's not the bloody frames fault! I know as a rider you can't always be "on the pace" but remember – the bike/frame isn't a variable therefore how it's steers, rides and handles will always be the same so to judge it that way isn't right. I had the Intense 5.5 and I found that somedays it didn't give me the enjoyment on some rides but I know that's down to me and not the bike.
A good ti frame will always be better than any steel frame in every department regarding materials and is worth the extra cost. One from a builder who understands just what ti can give you is even better and so that's the route I would go down every day.

You don't have to pay £1,000 as if you are patient something second-hand always crops up. My Merlin Oreas was £600 – less than an S Works and far far better IMO.
Having owned ti, ally and steel frames of various types, ride wise the ti was fabulous. I won't take into account geometry so purely on ride and comfort the ti wins everytime. They take all the trail sting out but still have that stiffness for quick acceleration too and you push yourself the more you ride it. They really are very very good and I believe worth the extra cost.

Won his first world title in 1990 beating Bristow 6 legs to 1 with odds of 125 to 1! Been at the top ever since with 130 professional wins, 52 majors and 14 world championships – and he still wants more!! Utter legend – and yes even though he's a Vale fan pmsl.

    Taken from a dictionary –

    1.
    a. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
    b. A particular form of this activity.
    2. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively

To hold an 11lb rifle whilst standing, over a course of 2 to 3 hours with 60 shots taken takes a fair amount of physical activity, be the range 10 Metres to 300 Metres. To me, biased as I am, it will always be a sport.

I will have to be biased on that TJ as I started shooting back in 82 and I've competed in International events, trained with World and Olympic shooters and I would definitely say shooting is a sport. The dedication involved and required to reach the top merits it's inclusion as a sport and has been recognized by many, who would doubt the late great Malcolm Cooper MBE for his achievements in the sport?
Athletic endeavour is a very vague statement as no top shooter would ever get anywhere without being very fit and that's a fact.

CaptJon I didn't have to change my shoes when shooting, even during International & World Championship events – shooting is a sport so sorry – shot down on that one.

I had both an RC303 and Summer Season 456 and both are excellent frames. The Pace is slightly better made and thought out and will hold it's value better on re-sale. As for riding I loved the Pace, such a blast going downhill but for all-day riding it can be a bit harsh but aren't most ally frames? I ran mine with 140mm Minute 4's and they suited the frame really well. Only thing I didn't like about the frame is the rear brake hose routing but it's nothing really. Looks a beefy frame but comes in quite light too.
The SS 456 are bargains of the year considering their cost and are well built. With decent kit they will build easily up to 28lb and aren't to hard to lug round all day. Geometry is good and even when I used 140mm forks, the head angle didn't have it wandering round on climbs. I'd definitely recommend one anyday.
As for which I'd go for I would say the Pace by a whisker but try get a suspension post for it or a nice comfy saddle.

Sorry guys but Megson had to manage a very very average bunch of players who aren't playing very well. I like Kevin Davies as as a player, a real thorn in the side type of guy but as your top goalscorer??? The way they played under Sam has long since gone – as have those players. The new bunch aren't good enough and they won't keep you up this season.
As for who next – Gareth Southgate, Mark Hughes??? They've got nothing to loose by taking it now anyway.

Do the simple thing and don't eat chocolate and see how it goes with the headaches. It's not the end of the world giving it up and if it does stop the headaches and the agony they bring then surely it's worth it. Drink plenty of water, try not stress out on anything and you could be fine.

Alexxx – Shelton ain't that bad!!!! I guess it's what you "accustomed" too. Far far worse places in Stoke as in rough/shit/crime spots than that but I've lived in S-O-T for 47 years and it don't bother me. Some very nice riding areas too so I'll stick with where I am.

Talk to them politely first and present all the facts to show them they have made a mistake. If then you get no joy, tell them you will take action with Trading Standards. I hope they sort it out for you too.

Totally agree with ScottChegg. Why can't people understand it's an "entertainment" programme? It's all about ratings and the current format with all the humour and stupidity gets far far more viewers than a programmes dedicated to "anorak" petrol heads!
If you take the programmes shown on the Discovery Turbo channel for car enthusiasts, when they were first shown I bet the ratings were all very very low compared to Top Gear even though they are dedicated to real petrol heads purely because they are not watchable for all family members – Top Gear as it is now is as my kids bloody love it! Enjoy it for what it is and you always have the option of using the remote anyway!

Bob Dylan – only because I don't like him at all.
Smiths/Morrisey – again – as above but at least he can sing – unlike Dylan.
