Guess that was Newcastle Library then grizzer? I saw someone riding it down a road near where I live and he was a short arse too – guess it's the same chap. If he doesn't sell it and I see him again I will have a "chat" with him.

When I built my 5 Spot up I used most of the parts of my Spesh Enduro and never made any attempt to build it up light but after weighing it I was pleasantly surprised by it's 27.7lb which includes some heavy-ish rimmed wheels. My older Spot came in at 30lb ish but had the DHX coild shock but after having it's first proper ride out yesterday I was impressed with the Pushed RP23 and so it looks like it'll be staying on for good :-)

I watched the match and it was a commited tackle by both players who give their all for the game. Shawcross isn't a dirty player and you could tell by his reaction when he was leaving the field how distraught he was – he is a young lad and it will hit him hard. As for Aaron I wish him all the best and hope he fully recovers as he didn't deserve that to happen – but these things do happen and it's because thank god they are that rare, they get lots of publicity – most of it bad but it's not the first and it won't be the last either.
As for the players reactions it was incredible that a Stoke player was the only one who went to Aaron whereas the Arsenal players just wanted get at the ref – poor show Wengers boys I'm afraid.

My first Spot came with a DHX air which was terrible, felt so dead and didn't like it one bit but I then dropped on the DHX coil and it felt brilliant. I was also in the lucky position as my Intense 5.5 also ran the same size shock so I could swap them over and compare them. The best ride was wit the DHX coil with a ti spring as it just felt so so plush so I will have to keep my eyes peeled for another

The cranks are 2010 Deus XC – another bargain buy at £130! The Spot will be a total blast round the Trail centres. I remember seeing a few Spots when I had my Intense and I've always knew they were well thought of. The Intense 5.5 is a great bike but it has to be maintained way way more to work at it's best as the bearings are very prone to sticking when they get dry – then the suspension doesn't work as well. But the Turner is so easy to looks after and our weather doesn't bother it at all. I hoped my Yeti 575 was going be the best of both of those but it didn't turn out that was, still a good bike but not as good as my old Turner.

I bought it off a guy off the BikeRadar site. I posted a wanted ad on here a while ago and missed out one and then another, the owner decided keep the second his. My mate then saw this on that site and I got in touch with him and hey-ho here it is.

I'm getting my 5 Spot this week and I can't wait!!!! I missed out on a coil shock for it so will keep my eyes peeled out for one. I had a DHX coil on my first Spot and it was brilliant. My new Spot has a Pushed RP3 anyway so it should be pretty good. My fingers are itching so much……

ASR SL has less travel than a 575 and also has the knuckle top-tube. The ASR is an XC race bike really where as the 575 is a do-it-all Enduro bike. Have a look at the new AS 5 – it's like the 575 but has 5 inches of travel and a different swing arm – still cabron but doesn't have the little carbon flex joints. Looks really sweet.

I'm hoping as part of my upgrade to get a decent deal on one. One option I did have was buy a new one and then use my current SIM (if possible?) then when I get my upgrade on Orange, get the most expensive "free" phone I can off them and sell that to recoup some of the money paid out for the iPhone. I can get a 16gb 3GS phone for under £400 and some of the free phones on Orange being offered to me for free are worth £250-£300 so making my iPhone a bit cheaper. I then keep my current talk plan of 600 anytime-any network minutes and unlimited texts for £20! Seems ok – s long as I can use the iPhone on it.

It'll be good when ALL the motor racing starts, especially MotoGP. I do watch F1 but it's no as exciting like like the bikes are. I enjoy F1 because I appreciate what it takes to be at the top and the difference between success and failure is bloody tiny!! I'm an engineer too so I appreciate the geeky side of it too lol.

Here's my old Yeti 575. Never ridden the Titus but can safely say the Yeti is a very capable bike indeed. One thing I would stress though is please try the Yeti for size as they do come up big! Mine was a medium yet I could have easily got away with a small yet my Turner 5 Spot and Intense 5.5 were all mediums and fitted me fine. The 575 was a bit big for me.

My Spesh S Works Enduro – which is being replaced by a Turner 5 Spot :D

I would contact Intense and ask them if it's possible first. There are those people that say you never weld heat-treated ally again as it will just crack near where it's welded and I'm sure there are those that say it's possible. Google ally welding and see what you find. I'm sure some firms could be emailed and so worth a punt trying that surely.

The Spesh and the Hustler will be in the same ball-park weight wise and also geometry wise. The Stinky will be heavier and more relaxed which is the reason I believe he likes that the best. Light bikes do get knocked about more as I much prefered my Turner at 30lb for going downhill than my Yeti 575 which was 25lb but they did have totally different rear shocks, coil v air.

I sold mine as I had an Intense 5.5, a Merlin Oreas and the 5 Spot all at the same time. I then bought a Yeti 575 (08) to hopefully replace the 5.5 hoping it had the best points of the Intense and Turner but it didn't. The Turner to me anyway was just a little bit better and so my search is on again for another. Don't get me wrong though – the 5.5 and 575 are great bikes and I'd happily own any of them again but the Turner is the one that just edges it.

Here was mine but not built up light. Coil DHX with ti spring but came in at 30lb-ish but a brilliant ride. Trying get hold of another at the moment too….

I'll be watching – even though the Cowboys aren't there :( Been listening (Armed Forces Radio) and watching it on TV since the early 80's. I even won a competition on Channel 4's show when it was hosted by Mick Luckhurst! it does do my head in though when they say the winners are "World Champions" – World????????? yeah right.

Federer is just the greatest tennis player of all time. The competition round today is very strong yet he has won 15 grand slams in that era. No shame on Murray, just beaten by the best ever.

I totally agree in the fact that the war against Iraq was illegal and all the crap about WMD just didn't exist and those that told the facts were threatened etc etc. But "untouchable" politicians will always believe wars create jobs, countries desire weapons and the economy is better when there is a war. One other fact is after Iraq gassed it's own people, tortured there own people, killed thousands who spoke agaisnt Saddams regieme – did they have an inquest after??????? No – and they never would while he was in power. I know it stinks but unless Saddam was removed by force things could have been a hell of a lot worse regarding terrorism.

Try a Nikon D200 as well. I'm not a Nikon user but I've been impressed with how good they are.
