Sad, very sad. His career is over and he's no focus in his life so he's bored and this is what happens with too much time and too much money. He's not the only one and he won't be the last – if Rooney isn't careful he will be like a ticking time-bomb and could easily head this way.

I'd say yeah definitely. On very cold rides I'd wear a merino top and just the jacket – warm as toast!

    Silverfish I'd guess.

Second what Blazing said. File an unpaid item case and ebay will sort the fees out and then just relist it. It's not worth getting hung over matey and it could be genuine anyway. I understand that you would feel happy getting £40 for them as you may have expected less but you may get more next time anyway.

I used Nikwax which says do a 40 degree wash but that ran out and so I got some Grangers which you use at 30. Whatever you use, you must follow the instructions off the product your using. I wouldn't use any of the non-bio stuff as it appears to ruin the water-proofing.

Non of the above – there's always somneone worse off or feeling more shitty than you are so think of that and smile. As for feeling worse off and shitty – that'll be me tonight

Internal cable routing? Did Kona ever do that on any frames? Not even sure if Yeti did either. Mmmmm :?

My first proper mtb was a 95 Kona Lava Dome and my mate still owns it grrr. It came with P2 forks, XT thumbies and a Exage ES chainset. It was a cracking bike and still is and I'd love to get it back off him too. Heres a picture of it how is today.

No Elfin, that's her "home" – she is eaing crickets at the moment and bigger stuff when she gets bigger. I absolutely shit myself last night when I was doing a bit of housekeeping and she ran so fast at my hand I bloody jumped out of my skin! Hopefully she will get a bit more calmer as she gets older – he says

Glad to see I'm not the only collector of spiders here, nice pics Roper.
Here's my recently addition to the family, a lovely Nhandu Crhomatus or commonly know as a White Striped Bird Eater – isn't she lovely. Also have 2 Chile Rose, Red Knee and a Blue Femur – plus more to come :D

Didn't realize they did one that small. My mates selling his 09 575 soon and that's an XS and it'll be hard shfit I guess because of it's size.

Only just caught the victory celebrations from the MotoGP race and the look on Rossis face says it all – forced smiles all round. Must have been awful going onto the podium after finding the news about the accident.

Admiralable they held a minutes silence before the racing started for Lenz.

I wasn't sure if he was so I stand corrected. It looked like very poor marshalling with all the riders who fell and my first thoughts were when watching it was that it should have been red flagged.

The marshalls just bundled him onto a stretcher. Usually they put the bales around a fallen rider and attend to them on the track. He was in the gravel trap so out of the way of the racing so I guess that's why it wasn't black flagged. Very very tragic and it shows just how dangerous racing is.

Very bad news from the track and not good.

I'm sorry but how do you "expect" a build come in at 28lbs when it has an adjustable setapost (KSi), an XT chainset with bashguard, rims which aren't the lightest and various other bits that all add to the final all-up weight! The forks aren't in the same league as a set of Float 32's weight wise so it's a creditable weight for the build of components and in fact is a very nice bike indeed, your a lucky boy.

I find it no problem – oh that's right I work there, well in the engineering side of the place but I'm also helping out upstairs with the business side of things these days. Glad you got sorted and happy riding.

We had the HD demo bike in our shop a while back but never got the chance to ride it. I've ridden the SL and found it to be a very nice bike indeed and our shop has sold loads of SL's with the riders being the "all day" types picking it over the Yeti 575 which we are dealers for. Still waiting for my demo DW link Turner arrive(grrrr) so I can't comment on that bike yet.

Get in touch with Turner and they will sort you out. It'll mean paying out for a new bit but it'll be well worth putting right. If the frames a bit tired I'd be tempted get it painted as it'll be down for a while anyway. That way then you'll have a virtually new frame then.

Elbows new album but looks like it'll be out in Feb next year from all accounts. It's going be a long wait……….

Daryl Beattie interviewed JB and was told that wherever Rossi goes he will go so JB "should" be with Vali next season. Also Stoners old crew chief moved to Honda to do a PR job for them but gossip had it that it was purely to get him into the Honda camp and that Stoner would follow shortly after.
All good racers, be they MotoGP or F1 all need a good cheif/engineer and remember there's no "i" in team and both sports are very much a team thing.

Yeti 575, Ibis Mojo SL, Intense Tracer, Turner 5 Spot blah blah blah. They are all good bikes. You need sort out what you want it for and then ride as many as you can. I'm surprised you've not had more replies saying "this is the best – because I own it"

This years MotoGP has been quite dull, I think in most part to Rossi's injury and Stoner giving up and thinking about next season. I'm glad Jorge is doing well and he will be up there for a quite a few seasons. Moto2 has been fantastic with great close racing but I'm also a big Bradley Smith fan in the 125cc class and really did want see him get the crown this season after doing so well last year.
Apart from the first boring race F1 has been a breath of fresh air and it's good both on and off the track as usual. Lets hope the rest of the season stays this good.

I was using Talas 32's on my 5.5 Intense and then tried some 36's and they were over-kill for my type of riding. Stiffer by all means but not what a 5.5 needs. For a Nomad the 36's are the ones to go for but I'd try 32's for sure on a Tracer although the 36 Floats would be worth a try.

We use Enduro Max in our bearing kits which do seem to last a lot longer than standard ones. Have a look on the BETD website.

We certainly do repairs like that BETD but not so local for you. If you get stuck (no pun intended) then give us a bell.

Owned a 5.5 Intense, Yeti 575 (08), Santa Cruz Blur, S Works FSR, S Works Enduro and two Turner 5 Spots. The clues in the one I've had twice – the Turner is a very very good bike but I will admit mine were the HL models and I'm still waiting for my demo DW Link bike. Also had an Ibis Mojo SL long-term demo and it's a very very nice bike indeed and would definitely be on my short list for a new frame.

Yip, not designed for 140mm forks and after reading what they have to say I agree with RepacK on that point. I'd also question any shop telling it's customers saying that a 140mm fork would be fine as if God forbid anything did happen, would the shop fork out for a frame replacement if Santa Cruz said no? Err I doubt it very much. It's meant for a 120mm fork so any owner buying new should stick to that.

I've never ridden one but from all accounts those who have and those who own them love em. I believe this is becaus it isn't a "boutique" frame and is passed over as it seems too cheap be good.
