Had the album as soon as it was released and I really do like it. Noels song writing skills are all still there and his lyrics really do mean something if you listen to them. The track “If I Had A Gun” is superb and his lyrics are outstanding. I think Noels at his best when he’s on his own with a guitar and he’s fantastic to listen to and he knows how to write songs with music to suit his voice. But even me as a great Noel fan, I don’t believe he’s the same without Liam and they really “do need each other” – no pun intended lol. I don’t know whether they will ever get back together and after the latest spat I doubt it very much but it’ll be a crying shame if they don’t. I was at their last ever gig together and Oasis as a band were truly amazing and it’s very sad we may never see them again.

I mix it up as I like SRAM shifting compared to the big S and my XX World Cup brakes have been faultless. I love my XTR M970 crank as they are mega stiff but I run a single 34t Goldtec ring anyway. As for my cassette I’ve ran both SRAM and Shimano and I’ve plumbed for gold XT as it’s superb in use and cheap as chips to replace. I’ve always used either XT or XTR front mechs but my X0 stuff as lasted ages and worked superbly so hence why I’ve stuck to SRAM this time.

Here’s my 5 Spot and it’s come in at a smidge over 26lb but I’m running a 1×10 set up on it. It’s got CK hubs, SRAM XX brakes, Float 32’s and XTR cranks with a Lopes chain device as well. I love it and it rides really well

Watching the racing this coming Sunday is going to be so so weird. I’ve followed GP racing since 1975 when I first started watching Barry Sheene who will always remain my number one hero who I met, sat on his bike and got his autograph and those will be memories I will cherish forever. Marco hadn’t achieved those great heights but he was destined to be a great I’m sure of it but his personality stood out miles and miles above anyone else, he was a racer, a fairing basher and an all out good guy on and off the bike. It still doesn’t seem real that number 58 won’t be on the grid anymore. His loss will be felt for a very very long time but we will never ever forget you Marco, not a chance.

Give Darren at Class A a bell. I’m sure he will give you some very good advice and he may be able to service the amp.

My DW is a shade under 26lb including pedals and weighed on Ultimate Digital scales – so is spot on accurate too.

That’s unreal!!! I’ve just been on another forum site and there’s this girl on it who’s just stated she’s been out with a guy 4 times, says he talks for hours and bores her to death. She then says he isn’t good looking and she’s definitely not got wet in the knicker area about him! Oh dear………

No hora, non at all on both fronts and the MRP Lopes chain device is fantastic. I’ve put some sticky velcro stuff on the chainstay but it’s totally un-marked. I’m very very impressed with it and having owned 2 old HL models and Yeti 575 (new style) and Intense 5.5 I think the DW 5 Spot is the best so far.
By the way, I had the frame choice dilemma as you – thought about the Tracer 2 and 5 Spot but I’d ridden the DW a while ago and liked it immediately. I wasn’t sure on the exact sizing I’d need on the Tracer plus the fact it was £700 more I went for the no-brainer option and got the Turner.

Yeah I’m running a 1 x 10 with a 34t front ring and 11-36 cassette. Cheers too, even better now I’ve fitted some new Floats with the Kashima coating

Get the Turner – love mine. It’s a 2010 frame too and I’m riding it as stock before I start messing with any angle issues. I can fit some off-set shock bushes first – some nice ti ones and then I’ll see how that goes. Looks lovely in Sangria Red too 😉

I’d definitely give a thumbs up for the Zula if you want something a bit different. Lovely bikes and good value too.

I’ve read LOTR a couple of times but I must admit I skipped the songs etc. It’s the utter attention to detail that also makes it really hard work and as a book that has a gripping story and drags you into it, for me it fails on those points and there are better better books round for that.
I read the Hobbit once, tried it the first time and thought it was crap but I was away on holiday and read it all the way through and enjoyed it. Mind you it must have been the sun and beer hehe.

Great players leave great teams – Cesc I believe cost Arsenal £1m from Barca 5 years ago – they’ve made £33m profit on him and seen some fabulous football from him! That diver Ronaldo was deemed irreplaceable by Manure Utd but have they struggled – er no. It’s not the end of the world and life goes on.

Have you re-greaased all the ports at all and seen what happens then? Maybe one of them is a bit dry and so needs some attention. Mine doesn’t do any of what you mention though. VPP bikes need their bearings in perfect condition as otherwise that system doesn’t work as I found that out on my Intense 5.5. I’d definitely check the ports out and pump some nice fresh grease into them.

Great film. I must admit I watched it when it first came onto Sky and I wasn’t impressed but I watched it again and then bang, the penny dropped and it’s a very very impressive film. I didn’t like Pulp Fiction when I first saw that but now it’s definitely one of my all-time favourite films.

Damn good idea about the donation thingy and I will do so for Dougie Mac. Had my card cancelled last night but it’s all been sorted now and glasses are on their way in a couple of weeks – nice one.

Footballers are well paid mercenaries at the end of the day and club loyalty is a dying breed these days. And with so many foreign players in our Premiership they won’t give a toss really what happens to the clubs as long as they’re getting their £35,000-£150,000 a week! They want the fans believe they’re behind their current club but I’d hazard a guess a high percentage are saying this so future employers will think “he’s showing some faith” and they’ll buy him thinking he’ll be faithful when in reality the only thing they’re faithful to is their paycheck!
Barton did play well last season but when all the players are fit, he would never get in the England team as he just isn’t good enough – he thinks he is – but he isn’t. You can defend him all you like, tell me he’s a changed man blah blah blah but if so why did he park his £170,000 Aston Martin on the grass right outside the court he was appearing in stating he did because he couldn’t find a place to park – yeah, that’s the sign of a changed man – cock more like.

Pete, Id say my girl is a little smaller than the male in that tub. I’ll give her a good supply of crickets and see how she goes. I’ve got some large blacks at the moment and the chirping they’re doing is bloody doing my head in!!!! Grrrr

Have a look at this video of a tarantula nicknamed “OBT” – Orange Bitey Thing. See how quick it goes. That’s why they come in pots stating this when you buy them

When a male matures his life then is coming to an end and males die off in a short period of time – dependant upon species that is. His function then in life is too breed after which he will die but he can breed a number of times but he will weaken and so make him vulnerable if he comes upon a hungry female. Sometimes they do get munched but that’s nature, she may need eat him to gain more strength to help her breed but it’s a chance males have taken since the dawn of time.

You can use a divider or plastic ruler to try seperate them but spiders are very very quick and sometimes you cannot stop an attack. Sometimes the male will just do a runner and then you’ve got to try catch him so there can be some comedy moments when breeding them.

Stunner Pete, I see he’s got a nice pair of fangs too. Didn’t you fancy getting tagged by them hehe. My female seems to small to me but I’ll see if I can feed her up a bit and get her into condition.

What’s the point? They’ve been good enough to honour something they didn’t have to, I’m sure they’re going to be working on it best they can.

I’ve just called Oakley and ALL orders will be honoured and whoever has ordered will receive either an email or telephone call to explain the situation and I was told it will take a little longer to complete any orders due to the number of orders and stock – I’m notthat bothered about waiting but over the moon that I will get them! Fantastic and well done Oakley.

The Superstar quide will work perfect with a hardtail or FS with travel of 100mm, as will the MRP version too. I run the Lopes MRP on my Turner 5 Spot and it’s been superb

Great girlies you have Pete. My smithi is just an eating machine, she attacks anything I put in her home. Even when I use a syringe to fill her water bowl up she attacks the water as it’s going in – guess I won’t be handling her for a while lol. Here she is munching on a big locust

Anything new on it’s way and also how is the darlingi? I’m contemplating a colony of balfouri’s if I can get a good price on them – as they’re £65 a pop it’s going be expenise grrr. Here’s my lady who’s growing well
