We really need Ducati to pick up from last year as otherwise it could be a dull year. At the moment I can’t see anyone challenging Casey or Dani for the Championship but I’m sure Jorge will be very very close behind them. Not sure Ben has what it takes to step up to the next level and be a contender for the whole of the season but we will see.
I also think Cal has his work cut out at Tech 3 with Dovi next door and Bradley hanging in the wings. If Cal doesn’t cut the mustard this season I’m afraid he will be out. Can’t wait though and I’m really really looking forward to it!

I’ve had Talas forks in the past and must admit, I very rarely used the adjustment on them. I also found them not as good as Floats in use which were much smoother and felt better as did my Vanilla forks. Just my thoughts though.

It’s great getting comments from members about our hobby and it’s always pleasing sharing our information and posting pictures of these “little” creatures and long shall we do so 😀 But I agree with the OP to his choice of the top 5 as well.

I wasn’t dripping with cash but they are exactly what I went for. Very very nice hubs, very very well made and look awesome. I also think DT240’s are very good hubs too and I’d definitely go down the “custom” route any day.

That Rotel is a fine amp and will work vey well with a Planar 2/3. Speakers are another thing altogether. If going down the retro/cheap route look for some Rogers LS1’s or Spendor Preludes but make sure you have some stands for both those.

I once saw some Avid levers with Shimano calipers – bet that didn’t work!

A Rega Planar 3/RB300 arm is a serious piece of kit for the money,as is the Planar 2 in all honesty. I had one a few years ago before moving onto another LP12 and now with my Orbe/SME V/Koetsu I use now. I much prefer vinyl over any digital source including my Linn CD12.

Alpha1653 it appears to be one of the Holconia sp, possibly Holconia insignis but a lot of them do look alike. Have a look on Google images at that species and see what you think.

2hot the only ones I know are the usual Aussie suspects and they are the Funnel Web and Black Widow but I’m sure the locals will let you know when your there. All I would say is make sure you shake you shoes out and turn them upside down as you do it so whatever’s inside will drop out! I hope Mr Roper can give you a bit more info on what’s what anyway.

Alpha1653 I’ve no idea I’m afraid. Maybe the best thing you can do is a Google search for images and then copy the picture to here. I’m not very well up on what are called “true spiders” compared to the tarantula’s that I keep.

Grrr – I keep mulling over getting a Theraphosa apophysis as I fancy a BIG spider and I’ve got a couple of spare enclosures going – me thinks I’ll have to satisfy my want soon hehe.
Here’s the big girl but this picture was taken a while ago and she’s grown quite a bit since this was taken. She never drinks from any water that’s in her bowl but loves when I spray the enclosure so it’s one way f getting her to come out for a while 🙂

Pete, that’s a shame about the balfouri. I was so worried about mine considering what I’d paid for it and even though I knew they’re quite secretive, there’s secretive and down right hidden! Food disappears and it’s made some nice webs but it still makes me worried not ever seeing it. I’ve only ever took one picture of wit when it arrived and it is a female too. Oh well we will see.
I take it the Androctonus bicolor are a DWA species here in the UK? A change in my life plans will mean I can dedicate a bit more time to the spiders and get some breeding projects on the way this year so if I get an success s I’ll be in touch okay 🙂

I’m waiting for Orange to unlock my iPhone and they say it can take up to 30 days! To me that’s shitte and I’m sure I’m very close to that so I’ll ring them again this week. It cost me £21 to have the iPhone unlocked but at least then it will still accept all software updates including iTunes etc. So if anyone wants an iPhone 3gs 32gb let me know lol.

Love the gigas Pete – has it just shed as it looks like an old skin by the side of it. Sonic is out loads as where her viv is it’s quite shaded. Even during the day she comes out for a wander but she spooks easy so all pictures have to be taken through the enclosure.
I was fingers crossed looking at the colour of the H mac and I was thinking “please be female” as the adult females have the stunning black and grey colours and patterns and it would be great if it was a “she”

I think the thing that angers many about the sentence being based on the fact that they were minors when they committed the crime is that for many years as adults they have continued to deny any responsibility for their actions and continued the suffering of his family.

The Lawrence family have given up 18 years of their lives to get this far and no doubt will give up more years still in the pursuit of justice for the other members of the gang. I can see how hard it must be to realise that the guilty may give up less.

I’d like to think that the 2 now inside will have it made known to them that they could be kept till they die if they don’t come forward with the names of the rest of the gang. may not be possible or legal but it would be worth planting the idea in their minds.

Not everyones the same and people can and are happy on their own. Some single girls I know are so scared of having a baby they won’t be with anyone because of pressure from a partner. Some have family pressures that won’t allow them to have a partner too so maybe there are things in her life that she’s not telling you but your minds working overtime thinking your doing the right thing for her. I’d just leave her to find her own happiness and her own choices.

Can’t really offer much in the way of support singletrackmind but hope things get better for you and your mate.
I’m here on my own as my kids have gone a party and I recently split up with my fiance so it’s “finding peace” time for me. I’ll make sure 2012 will be a good one for sure. I also have a close friend who’s fighting Bowel Cancer and a relative who has Motor-Nuerone disease and he has only a short time left as he is that bad so I’m not up for much celebration being honest.

Sarky was probably not the right word as it was humour actually. I’ll negotiate with anyone, always have done. I do have the ability to negotiate thank you 🙂
