    Why do they “need” gloves?

Fox/661 do pretty small kids biking glove.
    Mothercare etc. for normal gloves

I also have an AS child, grown up now and living a happy independent adult life who attended mainstream schools. Not without challenges by all accounts but I think we’d (parents and child) agree it was the right choice for ours. Can’t really offer any advice that hasn’t been covered. Autistic kids are amazing tho
. have faith in him and best of luck with your choices

They do the same job ie. Are both mtb tyres :oll: but they don’t behave the same, or even similarly fir that matter.
Didn’t you notice they are two hugely different tread designs?
If so, you clearly need to learn a thing or two about how tyre treads work but if you can’t be bothered you should probably go back to recommending nevegals for everything, at least that was funny ;)

They may well have stopped making chunders but the clutch is still nothing like a highroller.

Dudes – the “chunder” is spesh’s HR copy not thr “clutch”

Single ply 60a DHF 2.35 would be my choice for front tyre for everything that still involves riding uphill in the tweed valley all year round. It really doesn’t get all that muddy there

    Jealous? of what?

havimg a lighter bike takes nothing more than spending cash on lighter parts. Did plenty of that in the 90s thanks.

    You’ll “thing” me?

That’s the strangest dig anyone’s ever had at me on here

    George – I didn’t actually make such a suggestion.

Screaming “troll” the second someone questions/challenges you is pathetic. And a big part of what’s wrong with this place.

‘d love a shot on that, but hate to own it. ^^

Full component spec of some of these bikes would be “interesting”

    Light but strong?
Seriously doubt you can build any 160mm bike under 29lb and keep it strong/stiff.
Which begs the question, why would you want a weak build on a long travel bike?

I hate helmet lights. Have only ever used one on the bars. Aye, it’s awful actually being able to see where you’re going (rather than where your bars are pointed)
oh.. and how do you know you hate them if you’ve never used one? ^^ :/

I’ve used a single P7 on my head for years now (and before that a HID)
only (non)problem with headmount only is beam flashgback from thick fog/rain.

    flood for speed,

    Eh? WTF? etc.

So now it has a driveside Shimano cup and an offside Truvativ one.

sounds like a better set-up for a weenie with teh carbonz anyway ;)

You can love them all the same amount but liking them is anothet matter entirely. I could set up a league table for mine.

I’d go with 2helmet mounted xlm torches off DX, along with 4 batteries and a charger you’re looking at about £35 delivered. Bright as you’ll ever need for descending at full pelt on full alast way longer than 2.5hrs if you switch to med beam for the rest of the ride

Given that an inbred build might cost you a grand, pretty much anything.
If you want helpful advice you might want to say the boys age, riding ability, height and what he’s likely to want to ride on it.

It seems you are better off crying to the mods every time someone dares to affront your sensibilities, than occasionally take it on the chin, realise it takes two to tango or that life is too short to run to the powers that be over every little thing.

    Agreed.
I think the mods should take into account whether the whingee was proven wrong in his/her arguement and if so ban them instead for wasting theirs and others time.

i will persevere with it for a while longer (i will learn how to wheelie/bunnyhop

Glad to hear it! you went on about getting it for way longer than 25 days.

Ps. If you can bunnyhop onto a kerb smoothly to bunnyhop higher, the first thing you need to work on is getting your front wheel higher in the initial stage of the move, then it’s just a case of getting your timing right and levelling out your rear wheel to the same height. MTBers are shit at this as they spend far too much time with a fully extended seat post up their arse. Like 99% of mtb riders you probably aren’t used to bending your arms or legs enough.

Try not to feel like a tool, have fun with it and smile at anyone you see while riding, should help you feel less confident and who knows, smile at the right person and you might even pull ;)

No Nana.. IME banning/warning Emails are usually pretty personal and so badly written they couldn’t be generic.

Harmless threads of mine (and others I’ve posted on) have been pulled with no explanation by Email.
Have the generic Emails you’ve had been recently? (wondering if they’re a new thing.)

    A. Use lots of pace and hope my front wheel doesn’t do one look at the lay of the trail and root formation, choose an appropriate line and commit to it (No hoping involved)
    B. Use caution and bounce or hop the bike over them[] Don’t use caution, look ahead, stay light and loose, hopping/jumping if required
    C. Keep off the saddle – at all times!
    D. Be in the saddle

    Basic
