You could try North Devon, Croyde, Woolacombe, etc for camping, beach, surfing etc, you'd have to travel a bit for riding – Exmoor, Dartmoor etc

    People help – true

exhaust split and dragged near Plocton, two blokes on a council estate, borrowed ramps, borrowed some tools, nicked some wire from a fence, and vaguely sorted. Well until we had to drive over a firehose near the hotel, how pleased were the firemen when I had to reverse back and 4 of them had to lift the hose over the car, how embarrasing ………. anyway local garge managed to fix it by 1 pm next day

One of my mates could have been a mechanic and AA inspector for 20+ years.

He may have used the phrases ' a victory for style over engineering quality' and '….ing useless' relating to a vehicvle

He recommended (for me who wanted low cost, high mpg, high mileage reliability, don't mind small non major function faults) a pug 306 HDI (182,000 and last 3 MOTS at no faults), cd doesn't play,

I got given Glasgow Uni and Strathclyde Uni details and a minibus trip to Glasgow. I got VERY lucky, was going to do Accountancy or Physics.
Physics Presentation – very boring people in white lab coats
Accounts Presentation – even more boring people in suits
Accidentally strayed into computing – blokes in jeans running about, game on, a good thing to do in 1977…..

(RTC my gf is a nurse, wanted to be a nurse at 4, tried to repair animals etc etc, now senior paediatric surgical sister, so game on I'd say)

bic are fine, see also nsp and I personally like (and my been a few times friends love southpoint 8ft6)

I get my boards of ebay and http://www.a1surf.com/Classifieds/ShowAllClassifieds.aspx

My experience is that board size is a weight/fitness/skill/wave size balancing act – and being middle aged, medium (????) fit, 13st, and getting very few weekends on the water I got an 8ft 6 mctavish (surftech, very light, it was in a sale) and it will go in even minimal conditions and carry my weight

Also check buying info on britsurf, understand delamination and discolouration, you get repair kits on ebay etc

ebay might give you an idea

sadly my mother had enough of my 10 year old collection of Bike, Superbike, What Bike, Motor Cycle Mechanics, Auto Car, Motor, MotorSport etc etc that I'd left behind 30 or so years ago when flying the nest, and neatly restructured it for me (plus issued an ultimatium about them being relocated to my house) – how happy she looked when she showed me the neatly stacked and organised piles and the 'oh, I found these in amongst your bike and car magazines' … ho hum…..

"We're moving further and faster, driven by a 2050 80% target set into law and strong commitment on climate change in Cabinet. Jonathan Porrit last week praised our Low Carbon Transition Plan."

"As he leaves office, Sir Jonathon accuses ministers and civil servants of failing to create a new economy fit for the 21st Century…"

So did he just spot it in his last week then ?

Sadly, I think Drac may be right in this one.

I'm pretty sure I heard the following on local Radio, which I sadly suspect is nearer the truth. All Bracknell cab drivers are required to carry first aid kits in their cabs. All cab drivers are not allowed to us them as they are not medically qualified…………………..

you're lucky I got pulled up for using STW at work …..

we **think** that it pushes adds, so as I used to leave it open the work counter clicked away….

    anyway turned into a fiasco
1 – I asked if it was a time issue or a cost issue, they went awfully silent when I said what about people who take 10 fags breaks a day ….
2 – even better I got pulled up again, and really laid into, I then pointed out since the last dicussion that I'd used only work sites, so they thrust the stats into my face, I calmly pointed out that the web adresss was indeed singletrackwork however thet the login that was using it wasn't me, you could have heard an insulated feather drop … then they apologised….
