    @Del

Thanks, running a 9 speed chain will keep the costs down.

What chain do you guys recommend for a 12 speed XT chainset in singlespeed guise?

Gas board signs (red and white striped, thin but long plastic with a little bit of rope each end) as sledges.
Catapults made from the spring/ linkage from single bed frames.

@lucasshmucas I did mate, they wanted £250 for it? The Fireline bike and Silk Road frame plus a few bits and bobs that I’ve bought from them this year doesn’t seem to have earned me any favours.

At £150 I’d be all over it.

I’ve bought the frame and I’m currently collecting parts mainly from PSA on here to run it single speed. Just need a PSA for a carbon fork ….anyone?

How would a 1% cut on basic rate tax make the average super rich person many £thousands per month better off?

@xcpootler I got exactly the same message from DPD, arriving yesterday apparently but not collected from SS yet.

If I’ve actually managed to attach a link this should clarify boost applicability.

I’ll take 13 off your hands at £8 a pop.

According to the Shimano guide these 52 mm chainline Deore Cranks are suitable for O.L.D. 148 (boost) frames (unless I’m reading it wrong?)

Ordered Element V6 wheelset this morning, due to arrive tomorrow, happy days.

Sorry to be a pain Neil, just seen the Element wheelset is lighter than the Isotope, can they be run with tubes? Looking for a light boost 29er wheelset for a single speed build.

Neil, can the Isotope V6 be run with tubes?

He’s had his 15 minutes of fame (the heckler).
There is a time and place, I’m sure if he’d done this at any funeral around the country he would have taken a good beating and rightly so.

From what I’ve seen he was dragged to the floor, not sure it amounts to assault or GBH etc.

They all take a few photos and pop them on Rightmove etc.
You’ll end up with 2 separate listings on Rightmove, which could make you look desperate and open to low offers.

RH front turned up yesterday so now got a pair, anyone recommend any cheapish rotors?

I’m pleased this thread has popped back up, I’d been looking at that SLX chainset at Wiggle (now £85) for a single speed build I’m planning, but after much unsuccessful googling still wasn’t sure it was boost (which I need). 😀

There is a 177 version in fair condition for sale on guntrader for £295 (trade).
Airgunbbs and airgunforum have decent sales sections.

Got a composite door in black, sun beats down on it all day so it has faded and it does expand/ contract quite a bit with temperature.

The show seems to work ok, that said it only cost a tenner so I’d keep it just for the music and YouTube etc, it’s currently in the shed.

Got a Blink doorbell, 2 external battery powered cameras, wireless hub thingy, a show 5 and echo dot for £123 during Prime Day. No subscription required and at that price a lot of tech for the money.

Yes mine has arrived today, left hand rear with hose attached, refund takes longer to arrive apparently (3 days).

Just had an email at 1752 to that effect, rear has been dispatched, front coming from a different warehouse but not cancelled yet. I’m guessing you got another email saying it wasn’t in stock shortly afterwards? Auto stock control not good enough to detect out of stock items but too automated to email the buyer asking if you still want the rear brake without the front.

Not looking good for me then, I ordered from CRC on the 11th, still down as processing. Got to say that it’s bad form, if they are sending me just the rear it’s going back.

@frankconway do you pay to help support STW as a viable business, or do you pay so you can make snide comments to free members?

Why do you feel the need to post negatively about free members.

Without free members there wouldn’t be many posts on here.

Stick to the members only forum or at the very least, save your delightful posts for full members topics if you’re repulsed by the thought of free members sharing the forum.

Was that from Merlin or CRC?

    gurnster75

Ordered, didn’t think the J-kit was worth an extra £40 so went for the CRC deal at £110 for the pair.

The frame is new with some wire running through the top tube to assist fitting the hose, so when I finally have all the parts together for the build let’s see how it goes.

Daft question, what do I need to order to swap the hoses round?

My frame is internally routed so I’d need to disconnect the rear caliper anyway.

For those reading this thread and slightly confused, the post where @frankconway thought it was ok to personally attack me has been removed.

I’m pleased others have seen my post for what it is, a harmless reference to one of R Kelly’s songs to mock his current situation.

    @frankconway
not sure why you felt the need, argee made a similar post which doesn’t seem to offend you?

Seems your post caused more offence than mine 🤔 quite apt that you used the word abhorrent…..
