Jabras have a hear through mode which uses the microphone to hear ambient noise.

Jabra Elite Active 65T for me. Good (for BT) sound quality and stay put.

TC Electronics stuff is superb and looks great too. The reverb on my TC G System was the best I’ve ever used for guitar. Unfortunately I gig so infrequently these days I kept forgetting how to work it from gig to gig.

The Jabra Elite Active 65T are my go to “active” headphone. Obviously sound quality is not on a par with my Westone UM pro 50 or Shure SRH 1840 but for bluetooth wire free convenience they’re ace

My evening jaunts in the Pentlands have been a major contributor to my continued sanity in these trying times.

Good work ajontom. Maybe a tad short anyway at 26 mm reach!!!. I’m on a 50 mm at the moment and fancy trying a 40 mm

Won £4000 on the lottery about 10 years ago for 5 numbers. Think the jackpot had been £10 mill + for just one more number, sooooo close. ‘Bout shit myself when I was checking the ticket mind.

Mine also arrived today. The ispec mount works with the Oneup lever and puts it in a much better position for the same price as the i-spec clamp from oneup. Concur with others that the Bonty lever looks good quality too and look forward to replacing the KS lever on my Kona. Bargain, thanks OP

Got a UPS notification today that the one I ordered from Trek site on Friday is arriving tomorrow. It’s been dispatched from The Netherlands so looks like Trek UK is out of stock maybe.

Just ordered one off the Trek UK site (free delivery). Looks like I could use the ispec 2 clamp for my Oneup lever as I could only get the 22.2 clamp when I bought it and it doesn’t play nicely with Shimano brakes. The Ispec2 clamp from Oneup was going to cost £20 anyway so this is a bargain and I can use the lever to replace the horrible KS one. Shame as the lever is very good but the clamp is hateful.

I use the “Tuning bikes” kit from eBay but looks the same as the Epic one. Two syringes with the screw fitting. Need to be patient as You’ll think you’ve got all the air out then a load of tiny bubbles seem to appear from nowhere. Took me 2 goes to get right as I was used to the Shimano bleed. Worth it though as they are great brakes.

Thanks to @Earl for the 100 pull up idea. I had a go at this yesterday.
Did 1 x set of 10 then 18 sets of 5 at 90 sec intervals.

Another good one is 10 x 10 press-ups (with scapular extension at top) in a super set with 10 dumbbell OH press.
Still enjoying WOFH but struggling to mix it up more than with a full gym worth of options.

I do like a landmine twist, oh and a landmine press, oh and a landmine row. Bugger now I really really want a bar, and a punch bag, and more weight, and a bench.

@vortexracing
The punchbag would come in very handy in my house at the moment. There would be a queue for sure. That’s definitely on my want list.

I prefer the new classifieds as the old one used to cost me a fortune.

Not quite following the rule here as this is a rework of a song I’ve tried to record to my satisfaction previously but pretty happy with the results with just a bit more tweaking of the mix. Plan was to wait till I’d done 4 tracks and release an EP on Spotify etc. but might just put them out one at at time as I’m struggling for time to dedicate to it.

Wow, I’ve been a member of gyms less well equipped than that. If I had the space I’d be keen to continue wfh (weightlifting from home) post lockdown but that back area of the garage is where I used to store 5 bikes which I’m now tripping over in the rest of the garage.

@kilo, had a similar setup in my basket on Amazon when it looked likely the gyms would close but snoozed and then everything sold out. Have seen some people selling weight discs on ebay for crazy money.

Sorry @eddiebaby, yeah I struggle to resist myself. Ben’s done a few builds customizing the kit body and necks they sell which I’ve been tempted to have a go at building, but with the cost of the tools I would inevitably buy it is MUCH cheaper to just buy a ready build guitar.

Can recommend the Kinesis Maxlight fork. I have one on my Mk3 and it’s lovely. Light, stiff where it needs to be, i.e no scary fork leg deflection under braking but rides “comfy”. Internal routing is a faff but no worse than shortening a hose and no bleed required. I can fit a 27.5 X 3.8 Hodag in easily so would swallow a 29 x 3.25. My mint one will actually be for sale very soon as I’m building a Mk4 and, well headtube, rake, etc.

Guitar recording setup by guitardodds[/url], on Flickr
Really enjoy Ben’s (Crimson guitars) videos on You Tube so snapped up one of their Descendant Raw guitars recently and can’t stop playing it.
The pic also shows my current recording setup:
Blackstar Artisan 15 or Orange Rocker 15 Terror, into
Boss Tube Amp Expander, into
Apogee Elements 24, into
Mac Mini.
Jiggery Pokery in Logic Pro X (not pictured)
then out via Shure SRH1840 headphones into me lugs
Yamaha MSP10s in pic really just for show now I have a real job and no studio space separate from the house. First time I turned them on my wife complained about the noise immediately. I now mix exclusively in headphones.

Seen some pretty good deals on the 5 plus titanium at around the £400 mark. Maps and music and titanium. Win, win, win (add another win if you like orange)

Can recommend Westhill and surrounding areas. I cycle comuted to Old Aberdeen from there for 5 years every day and enjoyed almost every second.
Easy access to Kirkhill, Scolty, Pitfichie, etc. by car and some good riding from the doorstep if your not looking to shred any gnar. Miss the riding up in the ‘Deen since moving further South (Edinburgh way) actually, you’ll love it

Best guess: Seller got notification payment had been made but wasn’t showing in account (my Paypal was showing seller hadn’t accepted funds); panicked and cancelled sale thinking account had been hacked.
I did a search and posted him a link to how to accept funds and 10 mins later or so he messaged me saying all was good and would post watch.
Bit weird but worked out OK.

Quick update: watch arrived and all fine. Was getting notifications that item had been paid and dispatched and cancellation still pending me stating I have been refunded or not paid. No option to decline cancellation though but guess it doesn’t matter now.

guitarhero

yeah, think I’m going to sit it out and see if watch arrives. Still showing as cancellation pending based on my confirmation that refund has been issued and all messages have been through eBay stating he has money and will send watch so if it doesn’t appear will open a dispute then

OK now I’m really worried as payment has been accepted but ebay order still cancelled.
Got a message saying he will post watch today but has all my protection gone

Every day I only eat 454g of Meridian crunchy peanut butter and 3 scoops of Chocolate Protein Mousse, i.e. protein shake with less than recommended amount of water. Spoon peanut butter dipped in mousse. Yummy

After swearing blind I would never do it, I succumed and bought some running shoes to assist in getting some cardio fitness back after having hardly ridden this winter.
1st run: managed 8 km and despite walking most of the uphills, felt good.
2nd run: did 10k with the last km being entirely uphill by which time I was done. Considerably less walking than 1st run and was well pleased.
However, next day I could hardly weight bear on my right ankle and it is still sore over a week later. Gutted
Should I wait till I’m completely pain free before running again? I’m itching to get back out.
For context, I’ve never run more than a 100 yards before in my life

Anywhere you can hang a pair of Olympic rings? I’ve got a set for when I can’t make ot to the gym. More challenging at first, particularly for dips, bit like dumbbells v’s barbells for pressing

I may be a tad biased as I work for a risk management consultancy but if this scenario was transferred to an industrial setting with weights being raised manually in areas with foot traffic, securing that weight would be a minimum requirement under the ALARP principal.

Good spot on that Revstar deal at Kenny’s- has anyone played one?

A mate just bought one and it played really nicely. If I had 500 to spend on a guitar right bow that 820 at that price would be top of my list

Kenny’s Music has some good deals on the Yamaha Revstar range. That 420 model loos good value at 300 nicker.

I think no clips are therefore safer than not. I am not going to go into the know your limits, never work out alone as thats a different conversation.

In that situation, yes. In every other situation, no

There is a case to be made for not using collars when benching <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>on your own as you can ditch the weight if need be.

On your own doesn’t apply to a public gym unless there is nobody else there obviously, in which case, use collars, don’t use collars, it doesn’t matter. In a busy gym, nobody is going to stand by and watch you choke to death, whereas if you are pinned and panic you could ditch the weights potentially on to me if I’m loading my bar at that time.
