@binman – managed to source Stan’s original bearings but haven’t changed them yet as the current ones aren’t terrible and haven’t worsened much lately. Good to have them in the bag (shed) ready!

Have Vibrocores on all my bikes and rate them. Replaced them with Stanton Ti on my Ti bike (Loco Moto) and really like the ride feel. Also look great!

Absolutely love my Loco Moco. Do anything bike. Climbs really well, descends like a rocket. Also used it for bike packing.

Thanks. I’ll look into it. Did you get to keep the metalwork?

    @prezet – sounds nasty :-(

I did end up having the plate removed

How was that? Been wondering if I should get mine removed.

I’ve done the same collarbone twice like you. Plated both times.

    @prezet
    – What happened the second time with a plate in place? Doctor told me another accident could be bad news with my plate as screws and 12cm titanium could cause all kinds of damage :-( I know people who gave up riding because of it, but that’d be like giving up living for me!

Had this exact problem yesterday. In the end I cut a plastic wine bottle cork in half – reduced it down in size and shoved both halves up the underneath the cartridge. Stopped it spinning just enough to get the bolt out.

Loved my old Ragley Mmmmbop, but aluminium frames can be harsh and knacker your legs.

Steel or Ti are way more comfortable.

A FS would also likely cure the problem, but they $$$ to buy and $$$ to maintain.

A hardtail may look crazy slack of head angle on paper but actually be very normal to ride.

    Totally agree

Mega slack head angle with a lack of head tube gussets unlike the HelloDave coupled with being titanium* = no chance. And I own a HelloDave.

Have hammered mine for a year now with no problems so far

I would be tempted to buy one to replace my Sonder Signal ST frame if the Titus wasnt so ugly!

I think they look good in the flesh.

I have a Loco Moto (Ti Hello Dave) and it’s amazing – https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FRTITLM/titus-loco-moto-frame

Do it @hoooli! Mine happened the same way and I love it.

It believe PX set the price at £800 to ensure they kept enough stock for full builds. I’m guessing they have plenty now.

Thankfully a bike’s better judged by how it rides than how it looks. You’ve all clearly never ridden one.

Don’t be put off by the geometry, these ride beautifully – up and down: https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBTILMGX/titus-loco-moto-sram-gx-titanium-mountain-bike

I spokes to someone at Brooks in Birmingham. He was pretty much “cambium are Selle’s, you need to talk to Italy, but they’ll say ‘no'”

+1 for DP Mount – works a treat

I rode my Moxie as a mullet for a couple rides, but found the pedal strikes v. annoying. 29er was the best. Initially tried 27.5 all round which was a calamity!

    I’m 52 and mine is ~51. 6′ 2″ and 85kg. Mine’s gone up 11 in the past 10 years from around 39 bpm

The Ti version of Hello Dave looks really good value.

The Ti Dave (Loco Moto) is a great bike – love mine.

    Serial faffing 🙄….

Rider A stops for a faff, everyone waits and chats. Ready to roll and suddenly Rider B realises they need a faff – “won’t be a minute”. Ready to roll again and Rider C needs a pee!

Faffing should be a parallel activity!

Some rides, all I seem to say is “shall we go?”

Yep, car starts are often a faffalance!

Loved my Dave, but it got replaced by it’s close relative, a Loco Moto. Lighter but just as fun

Oops, I mean the crank bolts that go into the crank rather than having a ‘nut’ on the other side.

There isn’t a mount bolt as such – The mount goes inside the lever band. It’s a bit easier to see on this image

Kingdom Vendetta or Titus Loco Moto?

I rode my Moxie (largest size) as a 650b, mullet and 29er. It was best as the latter. Defo easier to get air on than the Dave, but ultimately the Dave had more grip and control, so the Moxie got sold.

Also had a Switchback which was lovely but too small for a 6′ 3″ er

Have owned a Moxie, wasn’t a patch on the Dave, but the Loco Moto is even better.

Sorry, haven’t had this issue except when cable is too taught. They’re so easy to service so I’d start there. At the heart of the dropper is a sealed aircan which may be the cause of your issue. If it’s out of warranty you can pick them up from One Up. Easy to fit.

Mine are old and baggy. Came off last night and my left kneepad slipped out the way and left my knee exposed and consequently knackered :-(

Strip it down and service. Easy job. Instructions on YouTube. Only requires basic tools and fork grease (slick honey / sram butter / rsp slick kick). Good to do it occasionally anyway to keep it running nicely.

They’re pretty pricey now! I got my MT500 for £120 a few years back. The zip failed recently and I scared myself to death when I realised they’re now more like £250! Luckily Endura fitted a new zip.

I fear any other jacket is only going to be second best. I love my MT500
