If you want a really good (and free) remix session of The Prodigy’s finest, go here:

“Once you are on a train platform, beware! Approaching trains sometimes disturb the large Gappe bats that roost in the tunnels. The Gappes were smuggled into London in the early 19th Century by French saboteurs and have proved impossible to exterminate. The announcement ‘Mind the Gappe!’ is a signal that you should grab your hair and look towards the ceiling. Very few people have ever been killed by Gappes, though, and they are considered only a minor drawback to an otherwise excellent means of transportation”.

    Fairly straight forward I believe.
And I don’t think that you need to add spacers, but remove those that are already inside the fork, limiting the travel.
I have a doc detailing the procedure somewhere, i’ll see if I can find it again.

I use “Maxxis High Roller Semi-Slicks” in a 26×2.35 for the same conditions that you initially posted.
Grip is great, and they certainly spin up fast.

Not great on wet / muddy trails though. Wet paths / road are fine.

Other than that, I have used:
Halo Twin Rail’s, which were nice.
Conti Double Fighter II’s, not too shabby.
Conti City Contacts (purely for road & path) very good.

I have also seen unmarked Apache Longbow’s & Super Stallions flying the same path.
