Great bars, really comfy. Do be prepared for constant piss taking by your 'trail buddies', and lots of little remarks like 'when you getting the basket' etc. 😆

Not much torque on that kwak engine though, once you factor in drivetrain losses etc.
Much better to faff about with a cossie YB lump, or something from a Mondie ST24 etc.

Top of the range Bosch dishwasher we bought 4 years ago failed after 2 years of regular use (repaired and been fine since).
Bosch washing machine (3 years old) has started making funny clunky noises.

6 year old AEG tumbly-bumbly has been faultless.
10 year old hotpoint fridge freezer also faultless.
8 month old Bosch steam iron was woeful. Replacement Philips one has been sound.

In conclusion, I don't think Bosch are anywhere near all that they used to be, reliability wise.

I've had one since last September, on T-mobile.
It's quite good, but would I buy one now, possibly not.
The stock ROM on the phones is pretty poor. Mine was slow, buggy as hell, and the battery never lasted a full 24 hours (with minimal use).

A few months back, I upgraded it to one of those custom ROMS, and the difference has been like night & day!
I now get 3-4 days of moderate use from it, it's really stable & touch sensitivity is greatly improved.

I use Memory Map on it alot which works really well.
The real problem with these phones nowadays is the underlying windows mobile o/s which is very dated.

You need an M771, which is a bottom-swing one.
    M770 is a top-swing.

You are not alone, I distinctly remember reading several lengthy posts where people have had this issue.

    As above, NOD32 or Kapersky.
Comodo or Avast are still good freebies.

Tescos recently had cheap deals on Kapersky, iirc it was a 3-user license for £25.

    I recently bought a Fuel EX8.
Test rode it against a Spesh, Zesty 314, Commencal.
What struck me with the Fuel was that it felt 'just right' off the bat.
It rides amazingly, and can handle far more abuse than I can commit to!

I have the 2.25 Ardents. Great tyres, seem fine in my local woods, though you can get some biiiig drifts going on should you so wish!! 😀
Oh, and I run them both the same direction.
Think they will now be my 3 season tyre of choice, until it becomes time to break out the Mud-X's again.

I just bought a Phase to replace an old Hex. Very happy with it, much better styled than the Hex. So I say Phase.

The floor will be tiled in one tile.

That is either a very small floor, or a mahoosive tile!! 😛

Yep, pedal strike on my hardtail GT Chavalanche Pro is pretty much non-existant.
But on my new Fuel EX8 I seem to do it 2 or 3 timer per ride.
Guess it has a lower BB than the Chav, and i’m still getting used to the whole FS thing.

    Yep. 🙂
I often go there just to take random bikes for a test ride, and use up a lunch hour.

Cinders are usually an Evans staple, they always have them in my local ones. Citrus degreaser means walking across the road to Cycle Surgery instead though.

Special One by Ultra Vivid Scene is one of my fave summer tracks:

Hell, the whole album ‘Joy 1967-1990’ is a great summer listen.

Try NFU Mutual, I hear excellent things about them, I shall be getting a quote from them when ours is up for renewal. Halifax currently charge me £70 a year to cover £3K worth of bikes, inc accidental damage & theft away from home.

I have no beef with London since I work there, and live just outside the M25. As previously stated by many, plenty of good singletrack is available, local knowledge goes a long way.

Hans ‘no-way’ Rey rode our local trails at Epping recently. He liked them, and commented on how nice and ‘flowy’ the singltrack is. Can’t argue with that! 😉

So wot car for £5000 to £7000, got kids so has to be a biggish car or estate

Mondeo. Will swallow bikes in the back very easily, and are very reliable. You’ll get a good 2007 Diseasel with all the extra’s in that price bracket too.

Dunno, but my new Fuel EX8 is amazing!!
Coming from a GT Avalanche Pro (the Kinesis one) and an Inbred slot-dropout jobbie, it feels very ‘natural’.
