I bought one of these Mons Royale long sleeve Marino wool tops from LD Mountain Centre recently. Not cheap (but good discount) and fab quality…

    Would definitely recommend.

…and generally our employer see the C2W scheme as a support to overall well-being. Enabling their staff to exercise and be fitter. It ain’t fraud.

    That looks lovely.
I Love a G-Shock, have owned them since the late eighties/early nineties. Wouldn’t buy anything else…they just make sense for outdoor stuff and I competed in rallying for ~17yrs (where reliable timing is critical).
My first change of manufacturer was a shift to garmin 12mths ago which felt really odd after decades of brand loyalty.
Then, my non-watch wearing, (adult) son received a package in the post a few weeks ago, he’d bought himself a G-Shock. Definitely a proud dad moment.

Yup. All okay, I’ve been a contracted home worker for 19yrs. Had three C2W bikes in that time.
    Go for it and enjoy.

I just received my n+1 last week

Drawn in to Merlin 35% off RRP clearance of a Ridley Noah road bike: aero, full carbon, Ultegra Di2. Didn’t need it but definitely wanted it and couldn’t be happier. Stunning to ride.

    Wow. Mind blowing!
What gets me, is how on earth do you start designing something that complex?

I’m guessing not from scratch… so perhaps an evolution from earlier, less capable versions?

    Just checked out eBay. Gulp.

Just re-checked my connections. I removed and then reinserted the battery cable and it all looks good.
We have lights and power 👍🏻

    No unfortunately not Jim.

    @somafunk
Tyres pressures etc are checked pretty regularly, certainly only ever +/-10% rather than run when “soft”.

Thanks Simon. That DOT code suggests it was a week-42 from 2018 so less than six months old at the time of fitting and still less than two years old now.
Not great to be perishing / cracking already, they’ve not been ragged (she’s a 50yr old mum not a boy-racer).

Just bought my missus a new Garmin too.
Her first, reluctant step in to smart tech and within a week the platform has been hacked.
Might have to keep it quiet for a while and see if she notices.

Very unusual to have such a prolonged period of high winds (but winter was unusually windy too), keeps National Grid busy balancing the system – which keeps me in work(!)

Those big Fans are currently producing 11,500MWs of power !! http://www.gridwatch.templar.co.uk/

If it makes you feel any better eb, we have exactly the same issue.
We’ve used our solicitor twice (for conveyancing) before and they’ve been brilliant so as a matter of practicality used them again. This time for probate related stuff.

All managed by one of their directors. Hopeless.
After complaining about lack of information we were promised that he’ll “… continue to keep you updated as matters progress” yet doesn’t acknowledge correspondence or contact us from one month to the next.
    Have golf courses opened again?

Unfortunately he has undermined our trust in the entire business.

Agree. Millbrook is overused in TV dramas.

I wouldn’t care but there are miles of roads there but the same section keeps reappearing.

We used to use it annually in the National Asphalt Rally championship. Mint place, though there was one hot year when certain tarmac sections were ripped up by the cars. Don’t think they were too happy.

    That’s the thing WCA.
Every day in harms way with, in my mind, compound risk of the repeated exposure.

Thank you all for the valuable input.

Ultimately after discussing with the family we’ve decided to pass over to our solicitor and let the professionals administer.

And to be fair, the moment we did, another unnecessary weight was lifted

I was in our local butchers last week and asked for a dozen eggs.

He opened a door, handed me 18, “keepnem ere for reglars”. Hidden from view, a fresh delivery of many, many eggs!

Sometimes loyalty and shopping locally pays dividends!!

I would personnally give the guys at https://pedalcover.co.uk/ a call.

    Flaperon
Don’t trust Yellow Jersey’s marketing blurb of “we’ve never refused to pay out”, because they denied my claim last year when a tool slipped and rounded out the fitting on one of my Assioma pedals.
Told me it doesn’t count as accidental damage. Not going to renew the policy so watching this thread for other suggestions

I don’t work in insurance but I am going to say that Yellow Jersey’s Policy is pretty damned clear…
“SIGNIFICANT EXCLUSIONS: Accidental damage to accessories unless the pedal cycle is damaged at the same time”.
So why on earth would they pay out for ham-fisted workshop repairs?

Trump says that the national guidelines for social distancing will be extended for an additional month until 30 April.

The initial 15-day guidance was set to expire tomorrow, on 30 March.

So Johnson said we can’t participate in the EU scheme because we’re out of the EU, even tho EU said we can still be part of it.
While Hancock says we didn’t because we missed the deadline?
    Brexit pigheadedness or just incompetence?

Criminal incompetence from Tory ministers, putting Brexit “get it done” stupidity in to practice on a grand scale.
Only time will tell if it has cost additional lives. Hanging on to the coat-tails of a joint procurement exercise had to be the right thing to do in the formal transitional period but no, get your mate to scratch build one. You really couldn’t make it up.

don’t want to risk anything with him having to travel in so we’ve told him to stay away. That’s putting a delay on despatching until we get Charlie back, hopefully at some point this week or the next.

So what we have is the largest stack of outstanding orders I’ve ever known us to have, and an almost complete bottle neck on despatch

Don’t stress on the delivery, I’m sure folks will understand if stuff takes a couple of weeks more than usual.
