Our boys share, but they are Twins.

Must admit, never ever had an issue with one keeping the other awake…Pair of them seem to go out like lights.

They do laugh at each other when they fart and I’ve noticed it’s sometimes a bit pongy in the mornings…..they have a lovely habit of leaving dirty shorts and socks under beds every now and again.

Sorry haven’t got time to go through the other posts so appologies.

This is a good place to start:

Check and see what speed and duplex the “router” switchport and the router itself are connecting up as.

I would test direct to a PC. If the speed good. Then Connect just that PC and the Internet router to the Switch and test.

    If all good then great.

Also, have you rebooted the Internet router. My ADSL at home gets it’s nickers in a twist from time to time.

Then add each device and keep testing.

If it suddenly gets slow after adding a certain device then you know it’s that device.

If you are on one flat network, all devices in the same vlan/subnet and you have a NIC on a PC crapping itself it will broadcast to all devices on the network.

My biggest advice, add devices one by one and check speeds after each one.

Feed them both at the same time. Hopefully they will sleep in sync too.

Our boys are nearly six now. Bit difficult for a while, but as they get older they do seem to play with each other well.

Go for a one behind the other buggy rather than a side by side.

Don’t dress them the same, although ours are not identical, they both have their own clothes and will not wear each others.

Good luck, bit tricky at first, but soon settles down.

My rather nice polarized lens sunnies recently went down the business end of a Turkish toilet (the squatty type) whilst assisting one of my boys to take a dump….They have stayed there and I don’t doubt increased the value of these particular public conveniences.

One day they won’t be there and you may look back and think, “What if I had made that call”.

I always find that it’s best to make enough effort that you can look back and say, “I did my bit”. Keep yourself far enough away so as not to be taken advantage of, but try and help out where possible.

    I don’t share her optimism.

Looks an unusual set-up growinglad, does the water run off of that ok?

Yurp..there is a bit of para chord around the hood that you tie to a tree, means you don’t get any dips.

By the time I’ve tossed and turned during the night my feet are probably hanging out the bottom, but my bivvy bag is water proof so nay worries.

To be fair that particular set up was after a 150km ride with 3 mahoosive mountain passes in the scorching sun, followed by a 2 hour ride into a head wind to get to the camp site so I wasn’t at my best during erection!

Mind control drugs in the water…

    that and-or contrails.

No sillyies…through the old fashioned method of erosion of sovereign powers through more and more treaties and less democracy :)

Remember George Papendreou, he talked about a referendum, was it the next day he resigned?

If you believed everything was hunky inside the EU and you were happy to be part of the big European Super State, then that’s your view and your are entitled to it.

I think it’s a “lovely idea”, but I’m also a firm believer in the fact it’s unworkable. Too much diversity in different countries economies to ever have underneath one umbrella.

I would have preferred us to try and change things from within…but that’s not likely to happen now.

Who knows, perhaps the Europeans made it quite clear that if we were likely to come to some kind of mutual deal then Boris was to have nothing to do with it, perhaps they made it quite clear that if he was involved they would make absolutely sure they would do everything in their power to screw him.

…Or he never ever thought they would win and he’s now bricked it.

Most of this stuff us mere mortals will never know the true story.

Mind control drugs…really….everyone knows every time you catch a plane they pump stuff into the air system ;)

It’s all in the plan. Most of the conservatives wanted out….They can see the way the EU wants to go down the super state road.

Boris’ job was to get them out. Done!

Cameron never really put that much effort in convincing us in was best. He’s happy with the result.

Close ties with Europe yes…being controlled by them, no.

In 10-12 hours time you’ll be nursing your half pint that you’ve had for half an hour already and going on about “in my day” and “the younger generation”.

Your ear hair will grow faster than the hair on your head and will be racing towards meeting up with your back hair.

Ohhh and lets not forget prostate and piles….

But, apart from that, you’ll be grand.

I’m a bit more used to the terrain having lived places with Mountains for the past 14 years…If you are coming direct from the bad lands of South East England it takes a few days to find your feet on the steep rocky stuff :)

    Ride I think.

We couldn’t do the first bit as it was still snowed in. But the rest of it was pretty epic actually.

I have a few more videos, I’ll try and upload them so you can see the trail.

Actually the more I think about it, it was bloody mint.

We were actually in Sussten, Monument Campsite, nice campsite. Swiss Campsites can sometimes pack you in and are a bit regulated, this one was nice and quiet and we had our little end to ourselves. I think the french speaking areas are better. It was close to most of the riding as also rode near the Altesch Glacier.

Worked out pretty well. Has a Co-op in Sussten and Sierre and when you don’t make the silly 18:30 closing time, you have the Co-op Pronto in Sierre….which stocks plenty of cold beers!!

Grimentz, yep, actually rest day so we just had a stroll, the only day of miserable weather so we were happy to just wander.

Dave, of Swiss Alpine Adventure has kindly posted some great details on the site, plus Single Trail Maps are very handy.

When they give a route a thumbs up, they aren’t kidding.

Plus I purchased one of the Swiss mountain bike mags for some route ideas.

We did a few bike carries, but when you have all day it’s not a problem. Both of us like to have a bit of graft, makes you appreciate the downs more!

I’ll chuck em up on photobucket when I have a moment.

This is the one I got for my Tripster. It came with the fitting tool

    https://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/shimano-ultegra-sm-bbr60-bsaital-bottom-bracket-cups/aid:675751

mtb one won’t fit and the road ones have smaller external cups (the part the tool fits to) which sits nicely flush with the BB shell.

Do you mean one of these:

So I’ll just need to order one of these?:

    Many thanks

*EDIT….Sorry I posted before you posted the photo.

You’ll have to apply for a spot at the moment they become available…but this guy comes highly recommended.

    http://watchguy.co.uk/

He’ll strip it down, clean everything, put it back together again and obviously replace any worn parts. Test.

Plus you’ll get photos of the whole process….it’s lovely to see how your watch is constructed.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their input, it’s very helpful to hear from others in a similar boat.

Out of interest, those that use/have used Tamsulosin, do you remember how long it took before you noticed things were much better. Weeks or Months?

I seem to go in fits and starts, thankfully I only have to wake up during the night if I’ve had a few beers. Sometimes, I won’t have any issues, other times, like yesterday afternoon I had to take four pee’s in less than two hours, funnily enough I had just drank a cup of coffee before hand.

Alcohol plays a part, but now I think about it, afternoon coffees seem to really affect me. I shall pay closer attention to the effects.

    Thanks again.

Had my bladder, prostate and a bunch of other pipework removed last August. Probably not what you wanted to hear

Christ, that doesn’t sound very good. Although pleased to hear you are getting stuck in.

Seems as though it’s not that rare, bleeding pain getting on in years, even if you look after yourself, bits just seem to ware down…

Thankfully not to stressed as PSA was okay and getting things seen to, although don’t fancy that reaming business….might have been married for 10 years and have 3 young kids, but still reckon I have a few more years need of all bits working as they should.

Tamsulosin info leaflet – different product (MUCH better name!) but same drug & same principles apply so worth a read if you haven’t got/can’t access one in swisserland

This must be the stuff I’ve got just a different name as Boehringer Ingelheim is printed on the packet.

I’ll double check he takes the lens cap off before he starts!!
