That looks good jonswhite! Is it just a switch of shock to go up to 148mm travel? No different links or anything like that?

What do you think the Newmen wheels? Just recently saw a few guys running them.

    What height are you?

Whats going on with the Stans wheels – when I look the ones with SALE in an eye catching red box are full price but others are cheaper!

I’d take a set of etc Flows in either 29/27.5 if it would work!!

Everyone I know that has tried new Codes says they are brilliant! Not sure if that’s specifically the RSC model over the R model…

Thanks for chiming in Kelvin. Would be great if there was even an approximate date for the bikes availability. As you an see there’s a few folk interested….

    Keep us posted!

I wouldn’t rule out the Super DH. I’ve tried the 3R and now use the DH and do not find it any hotter/warmer but do think it’s a better helmet for not much weight difference.

XL would be the right size. I’m the same height – I had a large Smuggler and always wished it was an XL.

Its a very very capable bike for the travel. I wouldn’t have had any worries at all taking it to a bike park. Pretty sure a few guys used the previous generation Smuggler on the EWS which is probably a good enough endorsement for me.

Sentinel looks great too and I’m sort of considering one but haven’t ridden one yet. I’d definitely be going XL though…

Did you look at the Canyon Torque? Slightly slacker than the Spectral and looks like great value too

Patagonia Dirt Roamer – on sale at the moment direct. Subtle, light, good for most situations.

I have used both and the Super DH is my go to for enduros at the moment.

The Giro is warmer, a bit heavier but probably easier to fit/remove the shinguard with the helmet on.

Bell is lighter, cooler, more use for me as a ‘regular’ helmet without the chin bar and as I say it’s my ‘go to’ but I do find it is harder to attache and remove the chin bar on it with the helmet on.

Know what you mean ganic – however warranty should take care of any issues which arise wouldn’t they? The delay in manufacturing is probably a frustration for them now!

Anyone know if it is ‘OK’ to run a 150 or 160mm fork on a G13?

Presumably it is as a lot of the G13’s I’ve heard about have been bumped up to 148mm on the rear.

Think I’ve got a couple of sets of Uberbikes that I could do you a deal on as I no longer use them.

Otherwise I heard that Direttissima Shimano replacement pads are very good!

Agree with the above. Usually run a DHR2 on the rear but tried the aggressor for a few rides.

I didnt think it rolled much faster and it was not holding up to rough riding, punctures galore….

DHR2 back on the rear with either a Shorty or DHF up front depending on conditions.

I’ve been using the Troy Lee Raid pads for a while. Initially I was sceptical about them being so expensive but I’ve gotten lots of use from them, they’re comfy enough and they have saved my knees a few times.

Just bought some Dakine Slayer as as sort of middle weight option. First impression is good.

@tomhoward – not sure if serious comment or taking the mick re: another poster….

Understand that there have been delays in production and all that but just thought that there would be more ‘buzz’ or discussion about the bike as it’s a the extreme end of the long low and slack movement.

More and more I am thinking it looks like a good option but I might be in the minority!

Spectral looks like good value, reviews are positive too.

Any ideas on the Longshot Rocket Max then? Would seem like it’d be popular at the moment and I’d definitely be keen to have a look!

    I recently tried SQLab saddles.

Very very comfy. Unfortunately they don’t enjoy a big lad riding Enduro on them so they both broke…. official word from SQ is that they weren’t designed for that type of riding!

if you’re a bit lighter than me I’d recommend it though!

In Fresh Goods there was some praise for Lezyne bike computers which are a wee bit over budget but not much, althoug I’m not sure if they do the nav stuff you’re after…

I have found that the skin on my kneecap gets raw from wearing pads too – was thinking of vaseline etc as a stop gap remedy.

The Mojo HD was/is quite short anyway I think. Certainly felt short to me so probably a number of the longer enduro bikes will feel roomier.

Mega 290, Orbea Rallon, Bird Aeris, Geometron, Transition Sentinel/Patrol are all good options IMO. I have the Orbea, friends on megas and various santa Cruz bikes – all happy.

Are they Royal socks by any chance? They are one of the longest. In general I find most MTB socks are too short even though they’re advertised as being long….

I have the Super DH linked to above – really good helmet IMO. Much more like a ‘proper’ full face than the previous Bell efforts, not really much heavier/warmer than a ‘normal’ helmet but has the option to remove the chinguard when not needed which for me is easily more than 50% of the time.

    CRC price is good!

At a demo day this past weekend I noticed that pretty much all of the company mechanics had Airshot canisters taped on to a regular track pump. Maybe give step benefit of having everything in 1 bundle but the better standard track pump performance when not connected to the Airshot?

Could you get away with doubledown for Maxxis? Gives you a few more options.

Thanks guys. If they are £749 I guess that does make them cheaper than Fox at RRP but like most things we might see them for less on the usual sites which would make them very attractive.
