HH-it was an EA70 we tried before!

Based in Newcastle so miles away from you down there Mountain Monkey but thanks anyway! she is a bit taller than you- 5ft 8 I think-16inch inbred might be good! I have seen teh Van Nic frames and they are very nice but a bit over budget at the minute I’m afraid!

The Spesh Ass measure might be worth a try as-well-there is a store near us so might look into it!

    Thanks MM-that does help.

Personally I thought it would be the frame as I really noticed the difference with my steel frame when I changed from alu as-well.

I have been looking for a carbon post to try as-well and keeping my eye out for a steel or ti frame going cheap!

Just out of interest what size inbred are you riding and what height are you? Whats the Ti machine as-well-I think my girlfriend would like one because it would be shiny!

remember if you do go for a tow bar mounted rack you might need to factor in the tow bar price as-well….not sure exactly how much that would be. Maybe £150ish?

Long time since I have been back but last time I was home I took a group of visitors to letterkenny-theres a good mix of modern clubs and bars as-well as traditional pubs there to suit all.

Well explained Gnar….best advice might be leave the England Shirts in the suitcase when you are in Derry, Strabane, Donegal…..

Seriously though Dave360-its a great place.

*To the rest of the Irish/Northern Irish lads-where do you ride? Surely all the nice areas we are thinking of could be good biking spots?

Yeah Derry and Londonderry are the same place.

Derry is actually the County that the City of Londonderry is in but most people call the City itself Derry as-well.

I think driving would be a much better option in all directions. Lets you stop off and see anything you want on the way. I am from the Tyrone/Donegal border and have to agree that a day spent there would be worthwhile.

Its the medium size. Like you said its somewhere between a Soul and a PA-a combo of both you might say. I’m 6ft 1 so its a little on the small side for me (bought off here and just built up).

I have not had it out very far yet so cant really comment on the ride in any detail but it feels nice! tyre clearance is Ok-not as good as a cotic but I have a 2.35 on there with room around it.

Looks really nice in reality as-well.

They are OK-in my opinion not the dream ticket that they are made out to be. They do cut down mess etc though. I didnt think it was much faster than regular rollers apart from the fact that you can get away with not putting any sheets down!

Cleaning is OK as-well but I had to run the cleaning sequence a few times on mine to make sure it was totally clean.

If you are around Newcastle Upon Tyne you can buy mine for half the B&Q price???

Aviemore area and Wales are leading the way at the moment in our thoughts. Not sure the best way to organise it though-package deal? book accom/activities separate?

Just been considering this myself-£150 would be a no go for me. I was hoping that £80ish would get a good service and tune for my weight etc.

    Went to rajasthan last summer and I would echo the points above;
Be prepared to get stared at-especially if you are going with a pretty woman, or a pale skinned woman. We had problems with people trying to take pics of my girlfriend while she slept on on overnight train.

Roads are shocking-we were told that the belief is ‘might is right’ therefore lorry drivers, bus drivers etc stop for almost nothing-cows being the notable exception!

We both got sick and really needed the rehydration tablets we had with us-I would say bring a good supply because you might really need them if the food gets you.

Hand sanitizer/wipes etc are also essential! In all the areas we were it was pretty normal for me to go to the toilet where-ever they wanted! Once beside a fruit and veg stall where I was about to buy some stuff…..

Accomodation might be very different from what you are used to-be prepared to rough it some places. But that said it is really cheap on the whole!

Our group either loved it or hated the place-It will blow your mind one way or the other!
