I have used both and think they are both top helmets. The feature is better vented for sure but after using the Endur – O for a while I sort of miss it now.

Urge AM could also be worth a look.

Why not try the 1 x 10 option with a smaller chainring if you’re worried about 32/34 being too difficult renton? 28t or 30t available from MRP for SRAM cranks and maybe others offering 30t for Shimano.

Wiretownman-what happened in the 2/3 month period? E-mails? Calls? Did you involve trading standards at any point?

I have the AMG guide coupled with an MRP bling ring and SRAM type 2 rear mech on 1x 10. Perfect set up so far. Bling ring is quite hard to get though and you need certain trivia tic/SRAM cranks to run one.

No idea on X7 compatibility but Triton Cycles seem to keep updating their Bling Ring Stock regularly (although only 36t there at the moment) . I have gotten a few from them when no where else had them. I think any dealer who has an ISON account can order them for you and have them in a few days too.

Regarding chain devices/guides, there are a few from MRO that are designed to work specifically with 28-32 rings as opposed to the more traditional 32-36 sizes. The AMg guide and G2 Micro Guide. You can also use ones like E13’s XCX seat tube mount if you have certain frames (Doing this on aTrek Fuel with no problems).

Also be keen to know when these arrive. Wonder if the decals are removable by any chance, would prefer stealth black….

I have the Kevlar Lock Ons-I like them a lot. They seem good quality and have plenty of grip. I have also noticed that other riders who had the ‘standard’ glue on ones were running them until they were almost worn totally away but they were still grippy which hopefully means the £25 will be worth it if these last similarly long times.

I’m running 1 x 10 on both bikes, neither of which has ISCG so had to go with one seat tube mounted options and one BB mount.
Seat Tube Mount is E13 XCX-great
BB Is the newish AMg By MRP-only a few hours done with it but so far great also.

I don’t have an outside tap either which is one of the reasons I am thinking of getting one. Cigarette lighter use wouldn’t be a problem.

Yep XX1 with 10 speed is no problem. Ran one with Type 2 mech for a while with no issues.

DAVE-what height are you? Think large is quite small compared to some other brands version of large….

Used to go in there a bit but thought it was mostly roadie clothing. Having a look now.

Used them twice. Once sent wrong item(long cage mech instead of short) but rectified quickly. Second time no issue. Quick delivery both times too.

Just a follow up-apparently the green light just meant that they had ‘some’ XX1 chainrings-none in 28t variety though! Thanks anyway toons.

Njee-very similar to the set up on my fuel ex. Doesnt sit correctly on the mojo though.

I have a top mount guide running on the other bike with the 28t bling ring and clutch rear mech and it works perfectly-no dropped chains in 6 months. The XX1 was for my Mojo HD-the top guide doesn’t quite work for it.

The HD has a specific Full guide made by MRP but its for 32t minimum front rings. I could always take the tools to one and attempt to modify it but that could end up being a costly mistake. The is a BB Mount AMG Guide coming out that will work but unsure when these will actually make it to the shops.

Not far from me so I hope the trails will be good.

honourablegeorge-thanks for that. I already run a 28t bling ring on the other bike and it was/is my back up option. Was just seeing if the XX1 option was going to be possible.

njee20 thanks for the feedback but I will stick with it as it works well for my current fitness/terrain/bike setup. Personally I don’t understand people saying ‘if you really can’t do 32 single ring then you shouldn’t bother with 1×10 debate’. Doesn’t feel like a compromise at all for me. In fact its the happiest I have been with my drivetrain for a while.

No cant afford the whole set up but running the crank/chainring would allow me to stick with my current 28 front 36 rear easy gear but hopefully gain a bit more chain security in conjunction with a clutch mech.

Where is the trail centre? Something specific to the area?

No pictures of mine but it’s Large and I’m 6ft1ish….

Plenty of good reasons for running 1×10 so no reason why folk can’t choose to run as wide a ratio out back as possible.

Some people may ride on different terrain than you, they may have a bike where front mech is compromised or even not compatible, they may not be as fit as you but none of those are reasons to suggest using this is not “right”.
