Could just use your standard cage with a 1up pump and multi tool:

Then Strap a tube on the frame.

It’s a good bike. If you’re considering an Enduro bike that can probably cope with anything in the UK then it’s ticking most of the boxes without being the longest/slackest/lightest/heaviest…

Plus the actual quality of frame, finish and support are great.

Sorry to hi-jack but whats the general sizing advice looking at gravel bikes? I seem to fall between a 56 & 58cm on lots of bikes. Is reach/TT etc as noticeable as on a MTB? Or will 10 or 20mm more on a stem be a good way to adjust a 56cm frame but maintain low standover?

Interesting – I had also seen it mentioned in reviews that it was noisy before I rode it but what I experienced was pretty extreme!

Ay the thoughts on it @lightfighter762?

Guys who have purchased an Optic – any issues with it being ‘noisy’? I had an Evans “test ride” across a car park and down some shallow steps and there was a lot of rattling – could have been chain slap, could have been the enormous lengths of cables, maybe something else… I am deaf in 1 ear so hard for me to pin point.

If you’ve genuinely wide feet then hard to ignore the stamp 7 in large.

The burgtecs really didn’t feel big enough for me (UK11 Five Tens).

Awaiting mine in the post – just to be clear are folk saying that the same model e.g Freerider Pro are fitting slightly smaller than they did last year?? Or just that there are inconsistencies between models in the 5:10 range?

So 2 riders on this thread have ridden the newer generation SB130/150, like them and have had no problems.

    Historical bikes/frames are mixed response.

Cant really help you with set up but does it matter what chainring you run on this set up? Been told using the newest XT rings is ‘advised’…

Just had a look and I have forks, wheels, 2 drivetrains, a frame, dropper posts, various bars and stems here that all would have been listed quickly on the old classifieds but I never seem to get round to it withe the new system…

@Hob Nob – any longer term update on the bike? Any wee issues that developed over time or is it just a solid all round performer?

What’s the rear end stiffness like on the Cotic full suss bikes?

    groundskeeperwilly

I’m selling a G13 that I think fits the bill for you. It can rub 133mm rear or 148mm rear with 130-160mm forks and depending on headrest 65* – 62* head angle! Can be built light or burly!

Where are you reading that the Full 9 is safer? What’s the justification given? If the certification is the same then Bell would have to have come out and said the Full 9 is safer? Otherwise that might just be perception because of the removable chin bar?

Both very good helmets IMO though, don’t think you’ll go wrong with either from a protection point of view. Super DH probably more versatile if you remove etc bar and use it as a ‘standard’ helmet too.

Too many EXO or equivalent failures for me to ever go back. Ran DD rear all last year and now on a DH casing Assegai. I don’t need to worry/nurse the back end anymore and that’s worth much more than the few 100g weight saving…

I’m 100kg and clumsy for reference. Ride lots of rocky, rooty natural trails, hardpack trail centres and race a few enduros.

The shorter the better for seat tubes for me…

It’s a pity the XL is delayed in these frames, end of 2019 estimate for anyone thinking of one.
