sl80 – they are used. End caps have a couple of scuffs but the actual grips are VGC.

stevo – will have a good look at your sites/info and maybe come back to you. Thanks.

keepers – that seems like a good deal for Norway. Did you book that through crystal?

    Thanks all

Would depend on a few things – if it were an XS or XL 26″ Wheeled bike from 5/6 years ago not a lot.

If it were a ‘Rad’ 27.5″ bike from this year with good spec parts I’d split and expect decent return.

    Road/Tourer/Cross bike I have no idea…..

Though is it an XL 29er?

Thanks – they look like an option if I can find them in 2″ in stock in U.K./Europe.

Its the longest frame I’ve had so thats not the issue. Just wanting slightly higher front end.

Frame is ok size but fork steerer is shorter than I’d like for ideal bar height/position.

Stooge motos are only 38mm as well.

pickle I think the nukeproofs only come up to 38mm rise according to their site and I’m looking for something a bit higher.

crazy they are the ones I am looking at – have you got normal or vibrocore?

Yari is still quite expensive and it’s still RockShox. Be good to see alternative competition especially as they are doing decent 27.5 forks.

hughjayteens – where’d you purchase from? Looking for a good deal on the K-Pacts myself.

Exactly chum3 – if there were a decent 130/140/150mm fork with 34mm stations for less than the Pike/34’s/36’s I am sure it’d sell well.

I think the Ion K Pact look like a good option. Not used them myself though

Will that go in a ‘normal’ fork? Or boost/plus only?

I know these might look slightly ridiculous but for the folks riding regularly in minus degrees something like this might be worth thinking about: http://www.boatworld.co.uk/xcite-atv-quad-hand-mitts?gclid=CPDTxu_jtdACFdMV0wodG3EBCw

Thanks for the feedback. Having done a bit more research the Fabric Air also loooks like it could be decent!

So what PaulGillespie above is saying, if I’m reading it correctly, is that my employer/company can buy a bike for me and give it to me as a “salary plus” style benefit? No need for me to pay anything? Do they claim back VAT etc and get it for less than RRP?

Watched some cross racing on bikechanel on sky. The 2 fastest guys had red shoes. Everyone knows red is fast. No idea on make or model tho.

Can anyone clarify whether the RockGuardz are all Ok for 29er wheels? I thought I saw that some of these guards need to be ordered specifically for 29er wheels but that doesn’t seem to be the case on their website.

Haglofs Ardent – bit expensive but very good shorts. Light weight, tapered to cover the knee but allow comfy pedalling, high back…..

I’ll recommend the one I’m selling….MRP AMG Guide. It’s light, top retention and a light bottom guard. Mines the ISCG 05 version and can adjust between 28-34t chainrings.

As Scotroutes says there’s the Deeside way if you want to go along between Aboyne and Ballater. If you want to go out the other side of Ballater there’s a route called 7 bridges that is cycle-able as far as I recall.

If you want to have a fun hour on trails have a look at Tarland Trails – there’s 3 runs graded Blue, Red and Orange and a fun pump track suitable for all ages/abilities. There’s also a mini bike park in Aboyne that might be with exploring.

You can also cycle out from Dinnet round Lock Kinord and back – some sections of that are quite rock strewn though depending on which of the routes you take so you might want to walk it first just to see what it is like.

Thanks – just got an e-mail from the organisers saying basically that! Watched the Video of last years Fort William round and looked like a nice mix of trail centreish with some off piste. Need to get the transport etc sorted now!

Not really sure who to ask BoardinBob- I’ve e-mailed a couple of times about these series and not got a reply. Might just be unlucky! If I hear back from them today that’ll be great but if not it doesn’t matter too much. Thanks for the useful replies.

Only asking as I’d likely arrive on Sunday and in my experience that would mean allocation of a late start time no matter what time I actually sign on for the day. The problem with that is generally the faster riders go off later and I am not fast. Not much fun for either me or them if I have to pull over to let them pass….
