Quick spin out to the North Downs Way before the family woke up. Perfect and much needed after a busy week.

I also got one of the last Vitus 20+’s for my 5 year old. New bike day for him next week if order is successfully processed.

A few miles over the north downs today. Nice and dry and spotted my first snow drops of the year.

I’ve tested both cars after drying them out, no issues at all. Have sprayed a bit of GT85 as suggested by @reluctantjumper above 😀

We took the tracer over to the park yesterday and it was run over wet grass and (slowly) through a few 1-2cm puddles. Was filthy afterwards and a had a few small pools of water in the chassis. I dried out what I could with some paper towel then left it next to the dehumidifier. Haven’t tried powering it on since but not expecting any issues. Will try when home from work later and report back.

Very impressed with both the tracer and the outback mini crawler. The brushed version of the tracer is plenty fast enough for 5 year old son.

I’ve just finished off one of these. Was my fave after an extensive tasting session the other weekend

    Purbeck Pirate 3L Pouch

Otherwise a Aspalls or Westons if I’m stuck with supermarket stuff. I do like a nice pint of Old Rosie.

    Quick update.

Many thanks for all the replies. I’ve gone for the brushed FTX Tracer for my son and my daughter really liked the look of the FTX Outback Mini Ranger so we’ll give that a go. She wants to build some indoor tracks like she’s seen on the YouTube reviews so looking forward to that.

Trying to resist buying something for myself!

Dt Swiss XM551’s? Got a pair on my Stooge with Hope Pro2 qr hubs. Haven’t tried any others but these are holding up well so would recommend. Not sure if they do a prebuilt version.

Second recommendation for Identiti as well, I got some rigid ones from them for my Dialled Prince Albert build.

I finally found some time to properly investigate why my chain was skipping, dropping and not moving well when changing gear. Took the rear wheel out and the freehub fell on the floor with part of the Hope Pro2 axle stuck in it.

Bought a replacment axle, bearings, tools and set to work trying to remove the old stuck piece and stuck bearings and fit the new parts. 3.5 hours early on Sunday morning, multiple scraped knuckles, swearing and a bit of blood and its finally back together. The online how to video made it look a lot less frustrating than it was 😀

I use Deity Supracush on my Stooge, find them a lot more comfortable than the Deathgrips I used before.

The bacon naan roll kit from Dishoom is great if you’re within delivery range.

I got bought a subscription from the Spicery which has been pretty decent too.

My rides are usually between 1.5 and 3 hours once a week and between 18 and 27 miles.

I bought a 2018 Transition Scout, still got it but have a bit of a love hate relationship with it. There is just something about it that doesn’t work for me and its in the back of my mind everytime I ride it. I’ve always been more of a hardtail fan and keep pondering about selling it and getting something else.

My Stooge however, I just love. It suits a lot more of my riding and is the bike I choose 90% of the time.

I’m really impressed with my Deore 4 pots, plenty of power to slow my 100kg + bike and kit down. Feel nice as well

Be interested to hear your fix. My 520 does this more often than not – restarting the device usually makes the upload work but it’s annoying.

I have it, ours constantly has reports of missing cats/dogs/tortoises and random arguments spouting from seemingly inoffensive posts – amusing for a bit but soon gets boring.
