What did you expect her to do at the end of the night (with your mate there) , give you tongues?

She said she wants to see you again, that’s all you need to know at this stage.

Don’t rush into assuming she’s perfect – you have only just met her. There is a very good chance she is not. Slow down.

Is this the same woman you wanted to buy a present for the other day?

you don’t have to downtune – it makes no difference unless you are trying to play along with the record

there is nothing at all left protruding – they have broken below the top of the screw hole – so I don’t think I can use mole grips or a screwdriver

    Hi Luke

Will your frame work with a Phil Wood? My Love/ Hate has one – but the frame has holes in the BB shell, and 2 big screws which go through the holes and clamp the BB in place.

I think your frame has to be ‘phil wood ready’

i saw a top gear once where they got a load of old supercars and tested how much horsepower they had. They had all dropped well, well below what they had when they were new. And these were well loved cars owned by enthusiasts

He was involved with Market fixing via the financial column on his paper (columist bigs up some shares, but not before they’ve bought some) – think he got away with that one

He ran faked pictures of iraqi prisoners being abused by britsh soldiers. He didn’t create them but he failed to make sure they were genuine. That’s what ended his career as an editor

I believe clarkson did punch him once. He is a pretty unpleasant person. When he was a tabloid editor he used his journalists to wage personal vendettas against people.

personally I think fender style guitars work better at the cheaper end of the market – as the designs were made for mass production (bolted on necks etc). As opposed to gibson style guitars which are glued together etc.

Top end of your budget but I got one of these recently

    contacts

another thing to remember is thatwhen your prescription changes over time, with disposable lenses there is no bill associated with changing.

If you have normal glasses, and prescription riding glasses, the bill is pretty big when you need to change your prescription

hmm – I have an iphone rather than an ipad, and I’m not sure if any of these apps might not be “hardcore” business enough for you – but they are all good apps

Simplenote – is a tool for taking notes – keeps the notes in a cloud and you can access/ update the notes then via your mac/ pc/ phone/ browser / whatever

Evernote is similar – but can be used to store pictures/ clippings from web pages/ voice messages/ pictures as well

Dropbox – store files in your dropbox on your PC or mac, then access them on your ipad

“every nightclub played it every time I was there (indie nights, student nights

they are still playing it though!! “

they might well be – but I’m no longer there to hear it!

Sean Kievney the breakfast DJ on 6 music played the banjo on cotton eye joe

Jump Around by house of Pain – was a good song once, but during the 90s every nightclub played it every time I was there (indie nights, student nights, “handbag” type nightclubs – they all played it) . Got boring very quick

they are not as nice – taste really salty

TBH – mess comes with the territory . I think anything will make a mess so let them eat what they like and is reasonably healthy

do you need a mount? – I’m using cylemeter to track my rides and find updates over headphones to be all I need.

I suppose if you want to use the phone for navigation thats a different story

I lock my black roadrat at the station all the time – head badge removed and old inner tube round the down tube to cover the logo. It’s a bling free zone too. Looks pretty annonymous I hope

    my hecker has 140mm pikes

I wouldn’t have anything longer (and presumably heavier) unless the bike was just being used for uplift/ super steep stuff

I had a slight hiccup recently – where the “computer said no”

luckily the broker I was using knew someone at the mortgage company and got it sorted – there is a lot to be said for using a broker or IFA right now it seems

btw – if you are using your phone to track a longer route I always switch off wifi and network data before I set off

doing this I can do several hours worth of riding and listening to music without runnning the battery down too much

    hmmm

i've had people pass me on a climb on the commute -huffing and puffing a bit, obviously made an effort to chase and pass me. in this situation i have been known to sit on their wheel till they blow, then pass them (obv doing my best to look like i'm not trying)

i'm not very proud of myself when i do this though i have never been called a knob

"Twitter for iphone" is free I think, as it is now the "official" one (used to be Tweetie)

having said that, i prefered it when it used to Tweetie. I am using Osfoora, which is not free, but was no more than a cup of frothy coffee

I just started stripping woodchip in my new flat

I had a house a few years ago with the nightmare scenario described above – took forever to strip and the whole house needed replastering afterwards

With my flat I was seriously considering just living with it – but I started pealing some off (just to see). To my amazement its peeling off really easily, no steam or stripping solution required, just coming off in whole rolls of paper. Plus the plaster underneath is pretty good, just a bit of filling and sanding required i think.

feel like I've caught a break for a change

I don't think 3 has free BT openzone

to be honest I prefer just to use 3G when out and about to using random wifi.

3 have a 1gig data allowance – which seems ample to me, so I don't worry too much about using 3g, and only use wifi at home really

I know it isn't true. Love is just a lie, made to make you blue.

    I know I love that song 🙂

"some fools think of happiness, blissfullness, togetherness,
some fools fool themselves I guess, but they're not fooling me"
