I’m sorry you’re going through this OP, one of the most truly disgusting things (I think) that someone can do is have an affair. It’s disrespectful, hurtful and unforgivable. The problem with going to somewhere like relate is that it won’t sort out the underlying issue here and that is that your wife deals with issues in a cowardly way. She now knows she is capable of an affair, how it makes her feel and most importantly how you deal with it when you find out. Yes you had problems at home and she may have been feeling under pressure to have sex when she wasn’t feeling her sexy best but she shouldn’t honestly think that jumping on someone else is going to solve it.

At the end of the day the woman had a baby, billions of women manage to have babies and keep there knickers on except for taking them off for their husband. Your wife is a grown woman, capable of knowing the consequences her actions have, yet she still continued to see this guy. That must tell you a lot. This is now going to turn into some horrible cycle for you if you stay with her, in two years time you’ll find she’s had another affair, there will always be someone in the background and she’ll always be on the look out. eventually she’ll find someone that will take her on and she’ll leave you and you’ll have to go through all this again. This is your opportunity to get rid now and move on, she’s proved that your 15 years have meant nothing whatsoever and never will. Get out now and start to rebuild your life, find someone who respects you enough not to mess around.

I’m sad to say that this is the truth.

I bought a sat nav from a staples in new York – but that was before I had the car

It was handy to help me get from the car hire place to the hotel

Thinking about it I still have it – you can buy it from me if you like. Few years old but very little use

It’s fine – I picked up a (big boat like) hire car in Vegas. Then took it to grand canyon/ palm springs/ Disneyland/ Hollywood/ Santa cruz/ San fran

I bought my own sat nav as it worked out cheaper than hiring one for that length of time

    – freeways are busy around la, and the right hand lane frequently turns into a slip road without much warning so watch our for that

    – you can turn right on a red light in California

    – automatics start moving forward, even if you don’t touch the accelerator. This was news to me!

It really was fine though. Nothing to worry about.

you should be able to get a free trial of both – what have you got to loose? Just make sure you make a note of the date you need to cancel the DDs

personally I have been with lovefilm (DVDs in the post) for years. When they initially launched the streaming service through PS3 I wasn’t that impressed (picture quality was rubbish) – but it has improved a lot. Through virgin broadband it is close to DVD (but nowhere near blu ray) quality. I actually think their selection is pretty good – good mix of classic/ cult and a fair few “current” movies – yes you aren;t going to find the avengers on there – but they have lots of film 4 type stuff.

Personally I’m a film geek – and enjoy it as an extra to the postal service. But it isn;t at all bad for 6 quid a month just for streaming

I tried the free trial of netflix and found the picture quality to be good, and the UI to be very good on PS3 – but there was very little I wanted to watch. Someone commented that it was like the selection of DVDs you find in the bargain bin at the 24 hour garage, pretty much spot on.

but like I say – give both free trials a go

Just struck me that the bulk seems to be either stuff *everyone* listens to or stuff *no-one* listens to. It’s either the Arctic Monkeys, or it’s Brian Smith and his Magic Foo-Foo Band. There didn’t seem, on skim-reading, to be a lot of middle ground.

Sorry Cougar but you couldn’t be more wrong – just because you haven’t heard of them doesn’t mean they are particularly obscure – most of the stuff people have listed is played on 6 music , posted about on widely read music blogs etc.

Why don’t you listen to some of the albums people have listed above and see what you think?

off the top of my head

    Wilco – Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Arctic Monkeys – Whatever people say I am …

The Avalanches – Since I left you

Bonnie Prince Billy – Master and Everyone

    Calexico – Feast of Wire

    Spoon – Gimme Fiction

Sufjan Stevens – Come on Feel the Illinois

My local cinema (duke of yorks in Brighton – part of the picture house chain) will I think let you put on a film of your choice, sell tickets etc

So probably worth talking to your local non multiplex if you have one,

I think you need to find out if the film currently has a distributor in the uk. If yes you would need to deal with them, if no talk to the films owners and find out if they are happy for you to operate as the distributor (for one night only)

Wouldn’t it be easier to just pop a cereal bar or a gel in your pocket and eat that if you get hungry on the way home?

It’s not worth stressing about so much (unless you are massively overweight or something)

Still in love with my custard soul – had it a good few years now

Yesterday I swapped the 100mm Maguras which have been on there a while for some 120mm bolt through SIDS, will be interesting to see how the ride is affected when I ride it tomorrow night

I went 1×9 on my soul – still using the original ramped 32 teeth chainring

I just got short cage mech (maybe not essential but I was swapping bits around on bikes anyway)

Short chainring bolts and superstar chain device

Works like a dream, never dropped the chain, saved loads of weight, love the simplicity – not feeling the loss of any gears

I’ve not had a single bad blu ray from lovefilm in the 2 years since I got my PS3

before that I would get the odd dodgy DVD – and usually found I could finish watching the film on the laptop if my DVD player couldn’t cope with it.

My conclusion is that some players (both DVD and blu ray) cope better with playing dirty/ slightly damaged discs than others

oh – and after initially thinking it was rubbish I now find lovefilm streaming to be excellent – much better than netflix. I tried the free trial and there was hardly anything worth watching

I had always wanted a house of my own for the sole purpose of turning part of it into a library. When I bought three years ago, I immediately transformed the front of the house into a library of which the walls are lined with books, and in which the kids are allowed to do nothing but read or write. It is a sanctuary at the end of the day, and the kids are growing up surrounded by wide ranging literature.

does your library smell of rich mahogany?

I ditched the camelback – only use one now for rides where loads of extra water or food might be needed

It’s so much nicer and simpler.

My riding gear is now paired down as follows

Strapped under the saddle using Velcro strap thing from xcracer.com
    Spare tube (I run tubeless)
    2xco2
    Tyre lever
Spare chain links wrapped up in the tube

In a small drawstring bag in my jersey pocket
    Multi tool
    Patches
    Anchovies
    Co2 inflator

    Also in pockets
    Bar/gel(s)
    Keys
Phone (in a waterproof thing, even if it’s not raining my back sweats!)
Maybe a tener or a card
    Blackburn micro pump
    Gillet/ lightweight jacket if needed

    Bottle in bottle cage

    Works for me

Visually, technically, imaginatively he is amazing. I just wish he’d stop relying on exposition so much. TDKR was pretty bad for this, Inception is just full of actors talking to each other explaining everything

No, Burton got a lot of flack at the time for NOT going down the light-and-campy sixties tv route, but doing something (relatively) darker – it was Shumacher who introduced a bit more “holy rusting metal batman” to the franchise

This is true – but watching again now the Tim Buton Batman films seem pretty camp, especially when compared to the recent ones.

Having said that I still really like Batman Returns.

TDKR was kind of good, I think. I liked bits of it, but of the whole trilogy the second one is the best by quite a large margin

Hmmmmm tricky. You’ve invested a fair bit of cash in this now, you could walk away and guaranteed no more losses. But in the back of your mind you’re thinking, “maybe one more date”. But what if nothing happens on that one either? Or the next? It’s throwing good money after bad.

Sounds like you tried to seal the deal with the present on date 3, but that didn’t work.

Best option – ask her round to yours for a takeaway and a DVD. A cheap night, and everyone knows what it means. Still no action after that then walk away.

This is the answer to the question you were really asking isn’t it? 😉

In iTunes create a new playlist called “iPod” or something. Then put all the music you want on your iPod in it. Then plug on your iPod, and tell iTunes that you only want to sync “iPod” playlist to your iPod.

I don;t think I’ve ever managed to make a decent cup of coffee in a cafetiere . Stove top or drip filter things no problem. Either I’ve not got the knack or they don’t make very good coffee. I either get weak coffee or cold coffee
