Flashes – yes it won’t be a problem. And there is no noticeable issue with obvious “people here for the weekend” parking. Half hour walk to the sea front feels like nothing to me but would put most off I guess

We’re a lot more chilled on the east side than the up tight Hove residents like wwaswas 😉

Agreed – a proper Blu ray release of the original release versions would be a good start

If I was in charge I’d “reboot” episodes 1 to 3, so we can just forget phantom menace etc ever existed

Pie night at The Constant Service in Brighton is very good, wash it down with a pint of Harvey’s.

It’s on Monday’s unfortunately, which is one of the nights I have my kids – so I rarely get to take advantage

The papers are giving the BBC hell on this because they have their own agenda

Murdoch and the mail are fiercely anti publicly funded broadcasting and will use any stick they can to beat the BBC with

Unfortunately the BBC keep making a mess of their handling of these things

    Ps3 is a great choice

View it as a Blu ray player/ smart tv with a games console thrown in for free

Plus regular updates/ support etc which you might not get with some of the other options

There isn’t a dedicated MOT app – but there are lots of reminder apps. I use one called “due” which does a very good job of hassling me until I do things I need to do.

    I have a permanent mot reminder set-up

as mentioned above – these days it makes no difference to anything

They will have picked a grounds for divorce – either adultery or “unreasonable behaviour”. Which one is used and who did what to who makes no difference to the financial end of things

I find the billboard ads a ridiculous scaremongering nonsense. They seem to be saying that if we don’t vote the police will give up trying to fight crime altogether

So what’s happening in cases like these? Cloned cards?

I don’t get how the scam works if the card hadn’t been lost/ stolen and the PIN compromised

I loved season 2! Started slow, but the final few episodes were just great I thought.

I don’t have fx – cant decide to just stream it in my laptop (crap picture quality, instant gratification ) or be patient and wait for the DVD/ blu ray

hopefully we will get a meaty directors cut, that being said I still enjoyed it a lot
    POSTED 4 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

The blu ray/ DVD has some cut scenes on the extras disc apparently

There will be no directors cut – Ridley has already said that the cinema cut is the directors cut

We just have to face up to the fact that the film is a load of old pony

Let the mud dry then brush it off

Squirt lube on the geared bikes means drivetrain care can be kept to a minimum

If the bike is covered in wet mud at the end of the ride then a quick hose down does make sense

Singlespeed comes out when things get silly muddy

I don’t have time to be constantly polishing bikes

On the Mark Kermode podcast the other day someone suggest Liam may be the new Michael Cane, in terms of being a good actor doing lots and lots of terrible films

I think he has a way to go compared to Nic Cage though

Hora – taken 1 is silly but very enjoyable IMO

Daughter is saved for final auction cos she is a virgin – I have no idea how the bad guys know this

It is an awful film in many ways – racist/ xenophobic etc. but it is entertaining

I haven’t seen Taken 2 – reviews suggest it is not good

I always run the spot on the helmet so it’s pointed at the spot I want to look at

The other light on the bars lights up the area in front of your wheel, and comes in handy for slow speed, steep bits.

I had this problem on crests and a NN – that I had previously seated and run tubeless no problem.

It was quite an old tyre, being swapped from one wheel to the other. I think the bead had got stretched and saggy.

I gave up in the end and used a different tyre – but the idea above of stretching an inner tube around the outside of the tyre sounds like a good one. I will try that if I have the same problem again

I prefer pedals when using an amp – although I do use the fx simulators when quiet practicing using amplitube on my phone – and they are fine for use with headphones

I have the green joyo tube screamer clone – and it really is very good for the money.

Also a crowther hotcake and a very old boss od/ distortion pedal

I quite fancy some slap back delay and tremelo effects – but I will be trying the joyo versions before I spend money on anything more expensive

If you ride with headphones the cyclemeter app has a similar feature – you can set it to give you an update at regular intervals as to where you are against your pb on the same route

I used to use it when I had a longer regular commute to keep things interesting

I watched Taken the other day with Liam Neeson for what must be the third or fourth time.

It is ridiculous, and xenophobic (us girls travel to Europe and are sold into white slavery within minutes), and really quite racist

    But I love it

Bryan: I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.
Marko: [after a long pause] Good luck.

Op – it is just like mourning. In my experience it felt like mourning the loss of the life i had imagined myself having (classic nuclear family) vs a new uncertain future. Expect the process to take a while

An article I read on fuel efficient driving suggested imagining there was an egg on the accelerator pedal – ie gentle acceleration.

IMO if you are driving in an urban environment with lots of starting and stopping it is more fuel efficient to keep speed down . If you accelerate quickly up to speed you inevitably end up having to break again, which is a waste of fuel

just converted the front to 15mm bolt through – and that was hassle free

Like wwaaswas says , painting up to ceilings is about a well loaded brush and a steady hand

Personally I find it easier to do my ceiling first (both coats), then the walls, then the skirting. Seem to spend less time fixing my mistakes this way – although you do spend more time waiting for paint to dry

. I know all 3 members of staff had to sign legal documents as well to say they were telling the truth which I know doesn’t mean a lot but the CCTV footage doesn’t lie and it seems a very strange thing to actually make up as well.

This makes no sense – why would anyone be made to sign legal documents by a hospital saying they saw a ghost?

under my saddle I have a tube, co2 and a tyre lever – secured using a velcro strap thing

I also have a pocket sized pump, anchovies and leyzyne instant patches/ boot

in 2 years of tubeless I have only had to use the mini pump – to top up a tyre that took a little while to seal.

I wouldn’t like to go out with no tube – I like knowing its there – but I don;t like having it in my pocket (feels heavy) and I don;t usually wear a hydration pack

Getting paid squillions a year as non-exec directors

I don’t know how they get away with it. How can such an obvious conflict of interest be permitted?

It’s strange, it’s similar to the phone hacking and the pres thing. We all “knew” it went on, but it took a specific combination of events and circumstances to make it become an issue in the public consciousness, action to taken and hopefully things to change.

We all “know” this is how politics works these days – but a specific combination of events and circumstances need to take place before anything can be done. And it really, really needs to happen

Re apps on smart TVs and upgrades

A safer bet may be to get yourself a PS3

Then you have a Blu ray/ upscaling DVD player/ games console/ media centre. Plus it gets regular updates with all the latest apps – iPlayer/ 4od / lovefilm/ Netflix.

I also had a blizzard blow through after our visit to the grand canyon. Got up in the morning and the car was frosted over – had to scrape ice off the windscreen

Within a couple of hours we were driving through the dessert – surrounded by millions of butterflies. Loads died splitting onto the car.

By the end of the day swimming in an outside pool, in baking heat in palm springs. This was Easter time

Dont expect anyone in vegas or California to be remotely impressed by the fact that you are from the uk.

Doesn’t HD ready mean it’s not “full” HD – ie 1080p
