I also have a weeks family holiday in the dyfi area every year – I love it there, looking forward to being able to take my bike again this year – after a few years with no biking (for boring reasons)

Climax is a great loop to do early – I usually do it before the kids are up for breakfast. Obviously the final descent is the highlight but I don’t understand the hate the earlier stuff gets. Ride it fast and it’s all good fun.

The whole loop only takes an hour or so – so no point missing any of it out IMO

As mentioned above Nant and Coed are both nearby

I’m a BA on a project which is using PEGA PRPC

I’m not a developer, and my involvement with the system itself is minimal, but here’s my 2 cents

    – PEGA do a good job of selling their platform. I’m not sure the reality quite matches the pitch
    – if you are getting the certification as part of the job then this is a good thing. I understand demand is high for certified PEGA developers

I do use spotify – to listen to new music, but I always buy the music I like on vinyl or cd. To be honest I find the sheer volume of music on spotify overwhelming. I find I value music more when I’ve paid for it and own a physical object

The fact that I can’t listen to streaming or downloads on my hi fi helps with this

I think artists make the most money from physical purchases (cd/ vinyl), then downloads, then streaming

So if you want to support artists buy a cd or go to a gig

not had this specific problem – but try letting all the negative air out, then pumping the positive to your pressure of choice, then pumping up the negative

How do hip-hop mixtape artists afford the samples they use?
    POSTED 1 WEEK AGO # REPORT-POST

As long as they aren’t making any money (I think they are mostly given away for free) the record cos turn a blind eye

At some point they will probably decide they care enough to take someone to court and people will stop making them

Go out cycling to the pub, and the shops and stuff

Do it dressed in normal clothes – instead of dressed like a power ranger

Look like a person riding a bike rather than a “cyclist”

Disclaimer – I do do the above – I also dress like a power ranger a fair bit too

Mine is mounted over mine but

    It’s not a working fireplace

    It’s not very tall

I’ve got the bottom of the tv overlapping slightly over the fireplace opening to allow viewing at the correct height (there’s no mantle piece or anything)

As mentioned above – TVs mounted up high are not great for cimfortable viewing really

I don’t mind experimentation, or whatever, but there’s nothing experimental about this, it’s just Chic samples, or might as well be, mixed in with laptop generated, fairly predictable dance beats.

Nothing laptop generated about it – the album was recorded “live” using legendary session players

Not saying this means you have to suddenly start liking it mind

Well , I got it on vinyl today and …..

I think it’s glorious. Best sounding record I’ve heard in a long time. I’d listened a couple of times on the iTunes stream and wasn’t 100% before, but I’m completely sold now

    Love it

(But then I do love disco, early 80s fm rock and the doobie brothers – if you are wanting a hard and fast dance album you need to look elsewhere )

if you want to maximise the battery then obvious things to do are make sure Brightness isn’t set too high and tweak Location Services to limit GPS use.

You missed the most obvious one, properly close your apps.

This only applies for apps which use GPS even when the app is not displayed (something lite a sat nav, you can tell if the GPS is on or not from the icon in the top right corner of the screen) – iphones don’t have true multi tasking so leaving a “regular” app open has no impact on battery life.

    Seriously

Use your iPad and use amplitube

You can import music to it song by song over your network – so you don’t need your whole collection in there.

Get the free version and just but the amp models and effects you need

I have a pod, and amplitube is better

Every other solution is more expensive and less versatile

I have a tendency to be like this – what I’ve discovered though is its a good idea to just allow a “cooling off” period before pressing the button on the new “must have” item

It’s amazing how many of them prove to be less then essential after a couple of days

My current (Oakley) day to day prescription glasses were incredibly loose on my head when I first tried them on. The optician took them out back a couple of times to work their magic and now they fit.

The online prices are very tempting – but the fitting thing does put me off a bit

Oh and the new phosphorescent and low albums too

It is interesting though how much impact compression has on music.

I’ve been listening to some late 70s, early 80s vinyl recently – and they sound incredible. So much “space” in the mix and drums that just pop out at you

On the othet hand lots of music recorded in the 50s and 60s was mastered “hot” so it would sound louder than the other records on the jukebox. It’s not a new thing

I think it affects the water at the bottom of the kettle most
    dear god
    POSTED 2 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

It’s not that outrageous a statement. Water starts tasting of plastic bottle if you leave it sitting around in a bike bottle, why wouldn’t it start tasting like plastic and metal if it sits around in the bottom of my kettle?

I also am watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Netflix – fantastic stuff. Even better when Danny Devito joins in the 2nd series

I agree with her – I can tell when water had been reboiled – it starts to taste like kettle. My girlfriend sometimes uses reboiled water and I can instantly tell if she has

I think it affects the water at the bottom of the kettle most – but then filling up a kettle with loads of water every-time is a waste of power

It has come back a couple of times- but the magic was gone

It taught me a lot about politics as a kid too – I remember my mum saying to me “you’re only saying that because of spitting image” when I became a bolshy teen and started arguing with her about politics.

She was probably right – and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Comedy is a great vehicle for education (see horrible histories)

I love the fact that puppets of famous people would turn up as supporting characters in other sketches – like Freddie Mercury as a barman in the South Africa one above

Why do you think they are leaking? Apologies if I am stating the obvious , but if you pump them up to say 100psi, then take the pump off, then reattach the pump they will no longer be at 100psi as some of the air has escaped into the pump

Those love hates are a steal (ha ha)

    Nope

In my opinion people are generally predisposed towards fun and happiness or misery and depression

People are also either intelligent or not so intelligent

I don’t think the two things have any particular effect on each other

I have a love hate (ebb) and a road rat (vertical drop outs)

I just about put up with the roadrat – because it has v brakes and punctures are rare

An ebb is about a million times better in my opinion

Ooooo. Pet hate. There’s a mum who arrives early at the school to drop her kid off, parks on the lane (even though the school are constantly asking people not to) then sits there with the engine running chatting to her cronies through the open window

    Grrrrrrrrr

Loving the “what happened?” Questions – he’s told us what happened , read between the lines!

Or do you really want him to give everyone a blow by blow account? Why don’t you post up a detailed description of the last time you saw a lady naked and see how that goes for you
