Started with straps back in the day, but went to K2 Clickers when I first saw them in California. Rue the demise, would go back tomorrow !
Have a couple of sets of Flows, but mostly sraps again. 8 boards.

Try Last Frontier for heliskiing (in BC) Excellent experience, but not cheap.

Got a place in the PdS, so go there a lot, but Tahoe still my favourite for sentimental reasons (OH is from Cali.)

CF – Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows remain my favourites, although the Skyline Trail at Heavenly does offer those superb Mountain/Lake/Desert views over the full 10000ft as mentioned.
I can remember when they didn’t allow snowboards at Alpine ! (I learned to board at Northstar, just along the road …… )

If I get to hook up with my BiL this winter, we’ll maybe head to Utah as he’s got mates there.

there was Hendrix and then there was Van Halen and those are the two critical turning points in the history of guitar playing.

Yep, both re-wrote the book when they developed their style.

You know, it is possible to be the ‘greatest’ band ever, yet be so far out in front by popular opinion, to also be the most overrated .. 😉

    And scousers.

Around here, the “Indian” restaurants/take-aways are generally owned and run by Bangladeshis.

Indeed, however the food remains ‘Indian’
(As you are no doubt aware, Pakistan and Bangladesh were once part of India)

Same with the adjective ‘Chinese’ as a general term for the cuisine.

    Top entertainment lads !
GrahamS – I remember being taught this as a kid of course, and all subsequent use thereof from basic algebra onwards. All my life it’s just been ‘obvious’ I guess.
But we never used an acronym at school though, so I’ve learned something, ta ! …

Oh, and Bez wins, for the avoidance of doubt 😉

Can’t really help you, as I’m not sure I understand it either – but if anyone can explain the sync issues (android forums I’ve searched are a bit vague too, seemingly google want you to sync it all via them … ?) then I too have a query – events added in my outlook calendar update the phone no problem, but events added in the phone don’t go the other way ?

apologies for butting in ! 😉

I remember the original “The Invaders” – v.scary at the time, and sounds exactly like Cougar describes.

And “The Singing Ringing Tree” – how weird was that sh*t ? That bear type thing, Christ, I’m getting the creeps now !

Indeed – and re golfers, if you think they might be concerned about whether wristbands help, don’t even begin to concern your non golfing selves with considering choice of bats/rackets ….

I thought the cloak and dagger stuff was related to access rights, rather than any trail knowledge or sustainability issues ?

Haven’t been along there this year yet, how’s it drying out ?

Now I understand that 90% of the worlds wealth is in the US and Western Europe etc

I thought we were all in trillions of debt, which if the scales are to balance, we must owe to someone – the spiritual East perhaps ?

all that’s not really name dropping though, is it ?

can’t claim to do it myself, can’t even pretend to know anyone worth ‘dropping’ – ‘cept maybe a mates sister was in a popular soap, and me wife’s step bro was in one too in the usa ..

but in a similar vein, another mate of mine name drops ‘brands’, as that’s how he refers to just about every object he owns …. really bizarre.

    anyone else do this ?

wow, didn’t realise this was still debated without tongues firmly in cheek ..

for my part, I love skiing, … but snowboarding is better.

but then again, both need a helicopter to be done properly.

difficult to force product onto a market that doesn’t (yet) want it.

they could make smaller, more efficient vehicles today, but they wouldn’t sell.

it’s going to take them a long time over there, heavily populated urban areas get it, but a lot of that country is big, empty, and relatively isolated.

cheap gas is a vote winner.

edit – just seen that post, knew about the F150, massive seller.
my brother in law just got a new one, 5.4 litre engine. oh well.

excellent – I'm with Oldgit *cough*
mate of mine reckons he invented mountainbiking, but I dunno – we were all trashing various inappropriate bikes down the quarry back then.
reckons he's gonna have a word with Fisher one day 😉 😉
he definitely invented snowboarding though, FACT !

@ gixer 😉 – nothing at all wrong with 'bikeworld', I love it, but as any self respecting mountainbiker from here knows, thus begins a never ending accumulation of kit …always shiny new stuff out there.

what's the OP really asking then, should he get a 125 versus a bigger bike ? – my answer would be no, go bigger. I just thought a scooter might be better for his stated "commute only" useage, only 8 miles, bit drier in all weathers etc
