It amazes me that people expect by right to leave their private property on public land.

I think you have to have a ‘tax disc’ on it to leave it on the public highway ?

    Toon here..

Sadly have to agree with what Warton said about Keegan, bit of an oddball really.

    And Michael Owen – inexplicable.

Lots of sundry misfits over the years, all clubs/teams have them – great innit ! 😉

My brother was an instructor for years in Oz, saw a shark fatality at Julian Rocks a number of years ago, involved in the rescue/recovery.
I was visiting him a couple of months ago, and we went down to Byron Bay – had a look. Didn’t get in the water ! 😉

PADI AOW and Nitrox here, dived all over the shop, deepest however being Scapa at 45m.
Currently doing IANTD tech course, though don’t know what for !
Think I’ll stick to riding my bike 😉

Well, interested in the gas management skills tbh – and there’s loads of new kit required ….

Well, ref the modified rifle above, at least “it’s fairly idiot-proof”.

Thank God for that then ….

My missus is a yank, she hates guns. Last time we were over there I went to a range with my BiL and fired both handguns (easy) and fully automatic machine guns (terrifying, and really difficult to use accurately).

Bloke running the shop explained that apparently the military were not sold on some of the more high tech kit, ‘wastes too many bullets’

    Good grief.

Addressing the OP though, I dislike all sorts of people for all sorts of reasons, and reserve the right to do so 🙂
But I don’t usually point it out to them, as I don’t feel that’s how I should behave in a polite society. So in summary, it’s wrong 👿
And as pointed out ad nauseam, it won’t usually help anyway.
    IMO.

I was told these light infested things are not (i.e. no longer)roundabouts, but instead now a sequence of quite seperate junctions.

Hence why you are suppoosed to choose lanes at each set and filter over to the left as appropriate.

Worked better as roundabouts (mostly) imho.

Usually I’m wild camping as a means to an end, but if ever using campsites and especially with a car involved, +1 for pillows and chairs – luxury !
I guess keeping kids entertained would be the priority, so take stuff for them.

Yes, cheers, I assume phone (inc GPS and MP3 muzak) will be fine, It’s just for bike to bike comms with me mates, a couple of who have the Schuberth SRC setup.

The Scala G9 works, and is feature rich, so I might just go with that. It’s just the Uclear system doesn’t use a boom mic or wire mic – some sort of ‘virtual’ design, pretty cool. And is smaller.

‘Roundabouts with traffic lights’ aren’t roundabouts, they’re a series of light controlled junctions. You are supposed to treat each one individually and move across left as appropriate …
Problem is, not everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet … 😉

Helpful diagram OP (I know the junction)
M/C at fault (I am one btw) Inconsiderate riding, esp if he was not signalling left pre exit, gambling on his superior speed/acceleration to ‘make it’ in front of you. Gives riders a bad name. Anyone with half a brain would be signalling and moving in to the left lane, exiting safely behind you.

At what point did the m/c put his left indicator on to exit ?
i.e. was it already on as you pulled onto the roundabout ? (hope not !)

I guess I can’t bring myself to ‘do a weeksy’ on the public roads, ok on a track day, I’m too scared I get taken out.
    Plus I wouldn’t want the points 😉
Touching 3 figures every now and again <ahem> can’t really be justified, so I won’t try, but 150 to 180’s a bit savage mate.

Fallibility is indeed the key, none of us are perfect 😉
It’s a risk assessment everytime you venture onto the roads, whatever mode of transport you’re using.
I (also) ride a motorcycle myself, and accept that sadly any life threatening ‘accident’ I may have (being particularly vunerable on two wheels) will most likely be someone else’s fault. Statistically.
Legislation will not keep me 100% safe. People make mistakes.

My mates in my road club think I’m a mountain biker – when I’m out with (different) boys offroad on the MTB(s), they think I’m a roadie* !

    Great innit !

*obviously my blinding speed and fitness 😉

I think I’m a mountain biker, but no fooling myself about where the ‘miles’ are done.

Oh, and this is a great forum, (both bike and chat), despite the occasional predictability and arguing !

Thinking about giving it a go this year.
Never skied for 15 years after discovering snowboards in the early nineties, but recently got back into it a bit. Now have a few pairs, inc some dynafit equipped touring skis plus skins.

But I’ve never attempted a freeheel Telemark turn – eek !

Anyhoo, might just grow the beard and join in !
