For spectating any of the routes on Saturday are good, for day 2 I would say section 7 on stage 2 and section 12 on stage 3 and pretty much all of stage 4.
For the midges I would say Smidge repellent and a midge net just in case.

Looks like it starts on Make or Brake then takes in trails between that and Gold Run.

I should add the trails are so secret that about eight weeks ago a lot of them were used for a XC running race with about 500 entrants.

I don’t place the trees only leave them where they fall and nothing dangerous about them, you can ride over and under them. Miles and miles of fire roads for the horses and the forest in question must have upwards of a couple of hundred horses stabled around its perimeter, you wouldn’t want them on single track unarmoured trails every weekend. The few disused fire roads they do use are unrideable through the winter. The trails are hardly private as they are all on strava for folk to find, loads of folk use them all week for walking.

I do know a company up here in Scotland was getting them for custom painting, but it was in bulk. Best bet is to drop them an email and ask nicely.

I get this all the time in the woods i ride in every week, usually branches but sometimes the odd tree. What they probably don’t realise i’m the one who clears all the windblow and creates the new trails they walk on. I only know of one other old boy in the village that occasionally does some work, but he doesn’t go that far into the woods.
I do however leave some fallen trees and overhanging trees on the trails to put off the MX and horsey riders from using them.

As well as the constuctive dissmisal route also have a look at the bullying route as there is no limit on the amount of money that can be awarded on it.
Best if you can get a union involved, as they will know the best way to go.
As everyone else says if your not happy and it affects your life and health, find a new job.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Mcmoonter I’ve just been out to the shed and I’ve got about 20m of BT spec outdoor cable if you need it, easy enough for me to drop it off some evening.

I use a small Stein tree surgeons one and add extra wound dressings and a whistle, I also carry a survival bag and thermal blanket.
I find I only use plasters or wound dressings out of mine, the last time was a friend of mine who had a bad face plant and mild concussion. All I had to do was flush the wound and apply a dressing then another friend took him to A+E for stitches.
There were about ten of us in our group and I was the only one who had been on a course, so I recommend doing one.

Unless they’ve changed the regs in the last couple of months, you don’t need proof of ownership for a rear plate for a trailer as suprisingly it’s not a car .

The thing I always remember was an intruder alarm that used a low frequency alarm that prevented you from entering the room it was so painfull, would be ideal for some of these bike theifs.
Kept my eye out but not found these alarms yet.

AS others have said if it was alright before the tyre change then its probably the tyre. I have had this on a premium Conti, changed it and all went back to normal, it was like it had an extra layer of rubber on one side under the tread.

Great event,I marshalled last year and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves despite being knackered. The staff from Santa Cruz USA even had a team last year.

Seen a few carbon frames ruined, caused by the Shimano bearings

    where have you seen this?

    ]
In my friends shop, don’t want to say where, but the frames involved were replaced as crash replacements, more than one make involved.
There also doesn’t seem to be a problem with press fits on road bikes either.
We are thinking its something to do with water getting into the frames and maybe actng as a lube especially with the Shinano BBs being plastic and more likely to slip on the carbon.

If it’s for an action sports company you could always turn up in some riding gear and on your bike might have to be a fixie though :-)

I’m currently using some Draper one’s, I think they were about £15.

They also snap when you hit them with a trailer, don’t ask me how i know

Seen a few carbon frames ruined, caused by the Shimano bearings seizing and rotating in the BB wearing it out, so quite a few folk have replaced them with Hope ones as the bearing if it seizes in theory should rotate in the cup giving the frame a bit more of a chance.
This doesn’t seem to be as big a problem with ally frames for some reason.

Found mine on the Bay,Van Nic version.
I run mine with a 2.4 RQ on the back to take the sting out of the trails, i still find i get a sore back though so i think i’m no longer a HT rider.
