I ruined a Deore one in six weeks with normal use, it actually seized up with rust. Current XT one has probably been in for a year with no problems.

It’s also going to be one of the busiest airports in the world, they reckon 200 helicopter flights a day, that’s double the heli’s going out of Aberdeen every day.
I saw some of the mad traffic measures on the way up to Kinnoull the other day.

I’ll be there. Like Northwind I have a bike racing in it, but I’m not being male.
I’ve seen the map and it looks good but i’ve not seen any info on spectating yet.
I’ll probably head across both days as I’ll be playing pit bitch for a couple of friends taking part.

Can’t really recommend any, reading is quite a personal thing. What I would say is start with something that interests you, fiction or nonfiction and not some big long book that you’ll lose interest in.
Giving us a clue of what you like will help us point you in the right direction.

Had a brilliant day at this event, I loved the format and it really was a funduro. The trails were great and I enjoyed the dual slalom a lot more than I though I would.
    I’ll definitely do it again.

Also this lot Central Scotland meetup[/url].
I did a lovely trip along the Allan water to Dunblane and then back through Mine woods back to Bridge of Allan last week, great fun, some great technical climbs and fun blasts down.

Untreated oak, it will weather nicely and not require painting and if it gets dirty a good scrub will clean it up.
I have some cast ends like yours and will be using oak for new slats.
Oh and use stainless fittings so as not to stain the oak and also the tannin’s in the oak will eat through plain steel bolts in no time.
Cedar and Teak could also be used.
Cedar will weather nice as well and is resistant to attack from wood boring insects and doesn’t require any wood treatments.
Teak will need oiled every now and then, but will last well.
We have about 25 teak Benches at work dating back to the mid fifties and as they have been treated with woodstain in the past they now need painting very year  a horrible job.

Silverfish live on protein, so removing food sources helps but will not remove them completely, they will probably move to the bathroom and live off of the shampoo remains in the bath or shower.
To kill them you just need a good flyspray containing a chemical from the pyrethroid family, I recommend Digrain products.
Just spray on floor and bottoms of cupboards and ideally behind the kickboards, let it dry and don’t wash the floor for a while or you’ll remove the chemicals.
I actually like silverfish, they’re cute, i like the way they scuttle about.

I found him via Danny’s video as well, think it was the industrial revolutions vid. Googled the song and bought the album, one of the only times I’ve been ahead of the curve.

Most of it is taped out now :-), still not sure if it’s fear or excitement I feel, probably a bit of both.

Yes but you may also need to tap the thread deeper into the shaft for the lower bolt. Cutting 10mm off is usually ok, anymore and I cannot be sure that you will have enough thread depth.

I thought that might be the case, this is assuming it will fit through the hole in the headstock of the lathe, could be a close thing.

I have some new 150mm rtc3’s that I need to be 130mm, does that mean I just need to take 20mm off of the bottom of the air shaft. Could do with confirmation before I fire up the lathe.

No need to take off, flip bike upside down and do it with the wheel still fixed in, it’s what I used to do as a kid on Sturmey Archer hubs when I didn’t carry many tools.

Could be a few things, best thing to do is take into a garage you trust and get them to do a pressure test on the engine. Shouldn’t cost to much to get done.

Last Sunday, a tour of West Fife. Monday evening Comrie Croft, Wednesday Devilla forest and Saturday Glentress.
Had a ball last week on the dry trails and it looks like the weather will be good this Wednesday for Blairadam and Saturday for Pittmedden.
May the sun keep shining and the trails be dusty.

I have to get rid of quite a few nests at work, you should try dusting one from 15m up in a cherry picker, there’s no where to run to and those machines move in slow motion when you want to go quick, at least that’s how it feels :-D .

How about Gypsy Glen, big fire road climb at the start from Cardrona though, then a little bit of single track, picnic time at the top then downhill all the way to Peebles on the old drovers road. Fantastic if the weather stays this good.
If you want a totally non technical ride with nice scenery the loop round the new Loch Leven path is good and plenty of options for stopping for a picnic or cafe stop.

Would have just packaged it up and sent it off to Hope, they would have most probably sent a new one in the return post. Warranty return form is on the website.
I did this with a couple of master cylinders that were quite a few years old and cracked within a few weeks of each other and received new ones within days.

Seriously, I hope it’s a short travel replacement for the ST4.

My dad has asbestosis, he was given 3 months to live but a year on he’s still going and active, gets badly out of breath though and a nice compensation payout has allowed my parents to do a lot more things and make life a bit easier.
Me, I’m glad I’ve got my dad a bit longer.

I heard ITV4’s, The Cycle Show is going to cover Tweedlove and the EWS, I believe they were filming for about three days. Knowing the show they probably won’t make the best job of it.

My Orange Five I loved and now find so so.
Just finished building a 2012 Orange ST4 and loving it, still to download my Strava but it feels quicker and I still ride everything I used to do on my 140/150 Five.

^^ that, I’ve ridden/minced most of those trails on a normal day but didn’t consider myself good enough to do it on a race day, so didn’t enter.

Having a day off today after helping the team set up all week, but I’m looking forward to marshalling the next two days.
I’m on Pro-spacer on day one and Ho Chi Minh the next day so should see plenty action.
Weather looks like it’s going to be good as well.
Good luck to all those riders from here, it’s going to be awesome.
