I’ve been going to and working at Tweedlove since the start , this is a big loss to the community.

The writing has been on the wall for a while though , when it first started it was ten days of events , everything from organised local rideouts to kids events and enduro as the icing on the cake.

It’s now just a few events over the year and lost a lot of the fun.

I loved my time volunteering and meeting loads of new people and made some close friends over the years.

As for the EWS it went to shit when you had to qualify to enter it and the got rid of the E2 class where you could turn up and race the trails with your mates. I can see it failing soon too.

I feel sorry for all the local kids that have grown up with Tweedlove (local clubs are vastly oversubscribed, MTB is so popular) and the valley kids are amazing riders.

I would like to to thank Niel and Fi for all the years of riding and good times , Tweedlove has been their life for so long , what started as as sideline turned into a huge thing. Thank you.

The Knights of old had to wear padding under their armour to prevent broken bones due to the transfer of kinetic energy through the armour.

    Energy has to go somewhere.

Certainly an HSE problem if others have had the same accident and nothing has been done about it.

You can buy D3o pads the right size to fit a backpack on the bay of e. They’re meant for motorcycle use but good enough for MTBs.

    Think mine was about £15.

Police Scotland will certainly be interested in that as JB EMS is a contractor to Police Scotland under their FM contract with Mitie.

Yup brass locks are not good with this kind of attack.

Even easier to do locks with a nail gun ( YouTube it ).

I play with lock picks when im bored sometimes and it’s surprisingly easy to pick some locks. It’s a hobby honest :-D

If they’ve been in contact more than once and been informed of the situation and still continue you can take out a restraining order for harrasment.

They’re usually even served on them by the Police.

I think its reasonably cheap to do too.

Just went to a great wedding, quite low key and better than any other wedding I’ve been too.

At the end of the night the bride and groom even came home on the same double decker private hire bus as us and got dropped off the bus and walked home in her wedding dress with the groom.

My friend has a Process 153 for sale.

    Size Medium.

Hardly riden as she had a crash that stopped her riding for quite a while.

I left a Landy in the garden for a year.

Had to change all caliper seals and brake pistons, due to them rusting. I then ran it up and down the road a few times to clean up the discs. I then changed the pads and it was good to go.

    Also changed filters and oil.

    It sailed through the MOT.

I’ve marshalled at GT7 since the second year of it. Having to give it a miss this year due to being too broken.

Have fun everyone, looks like it’ll be a sunny one again.

If you hunt online you’ll find the FC guidelines for trails.

    Basically stuff like

    no wooden features.

    No gap jumps

    Everything must be rollable

    And a few others.

We’ve been building on FC land and so long as we’ve followed the rules they’re happy, probably helps that it’s clearfell that we’ve been building on too.

I’m thinking of doing Kincardine to Kirkcaldy and back, haven’t done that distance in years so I’ll either do it or it’ll kill me…maybe next Sunday.

A lot ok it is quite flat and tarmac, still pretty views though and it does  mean you cover the ground quickly.

When I ride it we usually start at Silverburn at Leven then up to Ansthruther for fish and chips and back again, great ride on a nice day.

I almost live on the path and if I commute to work it’s the section from the bridges to Kincardine I use.

I used to cut grass for the council but I also used to go out with the litter picking squad.

The bulk of litter we found around roadsides was from the big takeaway providers and also cans and plastic bottles.

However by far the worst places were anywhere around a high school, you could do the area round a school and it would be just the same again the next day.

It was a soul destroying job.

Should be all good apart from the big set of steps running down the hill to earlsferry golf course. From the map you should be able to use some of the other trails to get round to Shell Bay.

Done right this will be a great thing.

Freeride is fun but getting tired. Skills area is worn out and doesn’t have enough in it and a new green starting from the peel is a far better thing than having to drive up to Buzzard’s nest.

They’re supposed to be linking the blue red and black into the top of the freeride as well.

    I run a mismatch set.

X2 rear E4 front on 180 discs on my 29er, I like the way it feels and I’ve never felt out of my depth on the steepest of stuff.

On my old bike I used to run M4s with a 203 front and 183 rear, the new setup with tech 3s feels just as good if not a bit better.

No I don’t think you should.

I think driving standards have slipped due to there being very little enforcement of the rules of the road.

I hardly ever see a traffic officer despite them being based about four miles from my house.

I think there should be a better system for reporting people you think should not be driving also periodic medical checks.

I never get sent home from work .

I’vespent all day ploughing and shoveling snow , essential works too so even though we have a red warning and no matter how bad it gets I have to try and get in :-( .

Our site has to stay clear because when something like this happens, it’s where it gets controlled from.

Probably the same dealer as you Mcmoonter, one of Roddy’s pals took a saw in told it needed new carb etc that’ll be £130 please.

They didn’t get the work done and gave it to me to look at…..one perished fuel line replaced at £5 and good as new.

I don’t think they even looked at the saw.

    I moved from a 26″ 2010 Five to a 29er Orange Alpine, I’ve never regretted the change.

I found at first with the 29er I actually had to ride it properly, like proper technique it to corners etc, you certainly couldn’t be a lazy rider. The 29″ wheels have also saved me numerous times. It does steamroller the ground a little but in a good way, I no longer stall on little roots that I used to.

I’ve ridden 27.5 bikes but I love my 29er, in fact I must commented to one of my friends the other week that when I ride it , it feels like the bike is part of me.

Have fun riding whatever you chose. Oh mine is a 16″ and weighs in at 13.8kg and it’s not even built to be light, lots of Hope on it.

I use Vigilante Trailboss for summer riding and find it a great combo for summer, however I change to Magic Mary Nobby Nic for the winter, if it stays wet they stay on right in to summer.

I have some 120mm Reba’s on my old Orange ST4 that I use for easy rides. I find them a great XC/trail fork but they’re out their depth on real steep and rough stuff, just down to the damping.

I have bought some newer Revelations to replace them.

Going to try the local hill tomorrow. Snow is a foot deep at the bottom just now and there’s supposed to be a hard frost tonight.
    Conditions should be perfect
