His delivery probably still lacked the warmth and charm needed.

Agreed but not everyone can be charismatic unfortunately.

He covered all the big topics and not really sure there was much the general public would disagree with

And BTW this is going on far too long.

It’s not though is it, the only people watching it in full are party supporters or political pundits. Everyone else will get a soundbite on the news or social media and he has created a lot of those to be posted for days to come

So many people complained not knowing what he stood for, well it is all laid out now if people want to go and listen. If it was shorted, he would get attacked for lacking substance.

Long standing ovation again, he has really turned the members against him…

Reading this you would think the whole hall is heckling but its a couple of noisy people and most of the hall applauding him, he got a standing ovation when he came on, he is not lacking support

It’s fine as long as his plan is to get in power then ignore all the dumb austerity stuff etc they are putting out now – like the way he lied in his leadership election but the other way round.

If he’s not, then god help us…

Does this sound like a return to austerity?

Politics is a rung on the ladder of his career, it is more important for him to be leader than to transform and improve the lives of the population, their hopes and futures.

it is the reverse of this though isn’t it which lots of Labour members don’t seem to get. His current stance of winning is more important than unity is the correct one, no one gets lifted out of poverty by them being focussed on uniting rather than winning and he can’t win only appealing to traditional Labour voters, they don’t have the numbers, they have to win back the traditional seats, Scotland and a bunch of centre right swing voters

Did you read past the headline BTW?

Yes but those are mainly criticism’s of the party not the man

Still needs to be paid back if the UK wants to maintain confidence in the £.

Been the subject of a couple of recent More or Lesses, about 1/3 of debt is owed to the BoE, but will still be repaid.

Yes but the speed with which it needs to be repaid is completely artificial, there is no need to rush to repay it

If there wasn’t a supply shortage there is now after a weekend of panic buying

an estimated 50-85% of UK petrol stations (outside of the motorway network) have run out of fuel

No – I am English (albeit a Yorkshire-man so perhaps I should) and we don’t do that. Do we?

People definitely do, a lot. My family have a shop and customers are always coming in asking for a discount, best price, price match, some kind of deal for buying several things and they often get it depending on product and how much margin there is, some items you have zero chance but other items there is quite a bit of room

Did you ask if that was their best price? They might of happily knocked a few quid off and closed the premium.

The suggestion to look up the local astronomy club is a good one, they often have open evenings for the public to come and try various scopes although it might be a little late in the year, they are generally on summer evenings

This user, Sarden84 posts various builds on hotukdeals and is always being asked for minecraft systems, I would scan through for what fits the budgets and then read the threads for any suggested upgrades/ changes by other users

If you do get in to exploring teas, I can not recommend this tea subscription enough:
    https://www.curioustea.com/tea/subscription/discovery-tea-subscription/

There are other subscriptions out there with more slick marketing and average teas but these guys are the real deal, great, small producer teas that they source themselves and good tasting notes and if you find things you like, they go out of there way to make recommendations based on your preferences

See also Taiwan being called Chinese Taipei, in this case it’s more about being bullied by China. Taiwan is not recognised as an independent state by most countries, but that is also due to China’s threats.

Taiwan did hold a referendum on changing their sporting delegation’s name a few years ago but it was voted to keep competing under Chinese Taipei

why would someone want Tether or USDC rather than USD or GBP backed by the fed or BOE? (For legit reasons anyway)

-Some countries selling to FIAT is the point of taxable event and they don’t want to cash out
-You are a trader and have sold one asset but don’t want to purchase another volatile asset yet but want to keep the money on exchanges
-The exchange only has trading pairs denominated in stable coins

You would think the Zoe app data would pick this up, since it tracks symptoms rather than PCR tests. Unless there’s a new variant that both evades tests and is symptom-less.

Zoe is still going up isn’t it, it hasn’t seen the drop

Zoe data isn’t showing the same trend, no downturn yet which is odd…

I think it can be very location dependent, where I live had the same value in 2019 as 2009 and only the Covid bounce has created any appreciation on it in the last decade

I did Derby to Tiverton (M5 J27) on Saturday, left at 9am and arrived at 2pm with about 15mins of stops, would expect another two-three hours on that to Padstow, either go early or late, only took 3.15mins to get back in the evening.

If you need cheap fuel on the way my go to’s that are within 2mins of a motorway junction are Tesco at Shirley on M42, Asda at Cribs Causeway and Sainsburys at Taunton.

When I used to live in Brighton, I would go across to Seaford to use the beach as parking is easy, always quite, beach massive but it is pebbles rather than sand, so no sand dunes to play in

And as for using “spare vaccine” at the end of the day this is not really a thing.
Well before the end of the day the numbers are looked at very carefully and only enough vaccine is defrosted/reconstituted to cover the bookings.
It gets to the point where we are sharing a vial (5 or 6 doses max of Pfizer) between numerous vaccinators.
    There’s almost zero waste.

I had my second dose (Pfizer) today and was booked in at end of the session, they were phoning me when I was on my way to make sure I was coming and when I got there they explained they had held my dose back as it was the last Pfizer dose they had allocated. Some walk up people turned up after me and got told to come back tomorrow as they wouldn’t open a new batch without certainty that there would be no wastage.

I wish the camera manufacturers could catch up with the phone manufactures software, if you could get something like GCAM processing capabilities but GR3 hardware, I would be all over it

For most people for point and shoot, a current flagship phone is great, especially for just viewing on the phone and online

I am only just down the road from you in Derby and have been involved with CAHMS through my daughter for the last five years (wow that’s a long time I now realise). From speaking with others, they have actually been pretty good in terms of getting her assessed in a timely manner (<12 months) compared to what you hear others waiting elsewhere in the country. As said though, they are massively understaffed, underfunded and working with limited resources. We were provided access to CBT but told it is fairly pointless due to her age and she got DBT but again we had to wait until 14.5 as that was defined as the age they become eligible as the research says younger than that it doesn’t work, mainly teenagers are too pig headed to engage and think they know better.
I would say push as hard as you can with the school and local authority to get an assessment for an EHCP, once that is in place you get access to far more support from SEN staff and it takes time to get it put in place but probably makes a bigger difference day to day.

I have had many of those listed, fermented mares milk, yak butter tea, crickets, tarantulas, snake, roaches of some kind, tripe, brawn, eyes, balls, goats head, little squirrels bone in,frogs, most I have been fairly indifferent to but some kind of fried cocoon in china was unpleasant, a duck sausage from a chinese supermarket that was just like coating your mouth with pure grease and some weird Korean blood jelly, I think its generally the texture’s that are worse than the flavours
