BCM sold out before I thought about signing up for it, same as London Wales London annoyingly which I had written down to enter but somehow forgot. Thinking about doing the BCM route late June’ish for a practice as it looks a good route and not sure the other calender 600’s work for me calendar wise.

I was going to but have entered the Mille Pennines instead – 400km shorter but an awful lot hillier

Too much hills, my legs hurt thinking about it, had a big DNF rate last year didn’t it? You done it before?

I’ve got an alloy grade and think its great apart from no mounts for a rack and max tyre clearance of 35mm. Currently running 32mm with guards OK though.I would buy it again.

I have a GT Grade but the 105 alloy version, think it does everything you need. Currently running it with 32mm and mudgaurds which is lovely for winter and goes great in the summer on 25’s. The carbon version is meant to be fantastic but for £1,500 I would be tempted to get the alloy and upgrade to some hunt wheels, carbon post+new saddle and pocket the change.

Audible is brilliant. I land up picking up a bunch of the daily deals, so £.99 or £1.99 for a book and saving my credits for when it’s a 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 offer, lands up working out great value and some of the books are upwards of 40 hours in length, try getting that much entertainment cheaper.

So annoying! Was waiting until I got paid today to order some stuff and now it’s back to rrp. Arghhh!

Yeh I was hoping to pick up some more bibs after trying them and seeing the quality.

My delivery came, all looks good value.

RBS socks are two pairs, so bargain as doesn’t state that, was expecting one

Tornado bibs seem good, not sure on the pad so will need a ride to see

RBS jacket seems good, decent fit and pit zips so good for the money

Wind proof jersey is a nice cut, long at the back and long sleeves and looks like it do the job.Not a commuter cut which I like

They are a bit fiddly. Where in the green band are you sitting?

I struggle to get it in the green and mainly get “too loose”, that is when I can get the app to work.looking online it seems fairly common, some people suggest it’s tyre related but doesn’t look a definitive solution.

I have it done up pretty tight and don’t fancy doing it much tighter as the plastic lever already feels flex when applying it

The hugely popular KISS Race Series is celebrating their first birthday with a KISS Birthday Bash this Wednesday 21st December at 8pm UTC.
    About the Race

The race is a format known as an Australian Pursuit Race (APR). Unlike an ordinary road race, an APR is run as a handicap event. Held on Watopia’s Figure 8 route, groups of riders start at different time intervals based on ability. The first rider over the finishing line is the winner, so groups that start later must close the time gap to the leading groups in order to win the race.
Racers will be separated into 6 groups based on your best segment time for the Watopia Figure of 8 Course (here is the Strava segment link).
Please join the correct group for your segment using time bands:
    Group 1 00:49:01 or longer
    Group 2 00:46:01 to 00:49:00
    Group 3 00:43:01 to 00:46:00
    Group 4 00:40:01 to 00:43:00
    Group 5 00:38:01 to 00:40:00
    Group 6 00:38:00 or faster
    Live Coverage

The event will be covered live by the awesome broadcast team that is Nathan Guerra and Jonny Noblett at http://www.beam.pro/NathanGuerra.
    Prizes

KISS organizers have also arranged a bonanza giveaway! All racers who complete the race and are not disqualified based on race rules will qualify to go into the random drawing which includes fantastic prizes from 4iiii, PedalPower & Cycligent/Team Experimental.

Thanks for the comments, thought it was probably wind related but wasn’t sure as thought it tried to mimic aero resistance using your height and weight. Will take with a pinch of salt though.

who measures training volume in distance anyway

noobs like me. I have never trained with power before, in the past I have only really ridden my bike and if my average speed is creeping up over time, assumed I am getting better. Is it worth getting training peaks/ strava premium to be able to quantify work volume from zwifting?

Alarm bells should be going off at this point, what scummy sales tactics

Why are speeds so high in zwift?everything appears calibrated but I’m doing 20mph+ for an hour which I would never do in the real world.

ize wise I’m 6’2″, slim, 35″ inside leg and the L bibs seem to stretch to fit ok

good to hear, just ordered the tornado bibs in large and I am the same build

Yeh, second what others have raised, you need to get them to spell out to you how the rate will go up in the future as it can escalate rapidly and make selling it a nightmare

Really fancy some bibs but put off by their size chart being tall and slim, I need a medium upper and xxl lower 🙁

Had a nightmare in my first group event SZR sub 2. Event started and realised my trainer wasn’t paired, any reason connecting a HR monitor would disconnect the turbo? Faffed and raced to catch up and then near the end I managed to jam my chain and waste five minutes putting it right. Also caught the SZR big group and then seen a bunch of SZR people go off and went with them, turns out they were the SZR joy ride group from looking at zwiftpower and seeing I’m dq’d for going to fast, wondered why everyone was going so fast for sub 2!

Will try another sub 2 tomorrow and set things up a bit better before the start.

So, am looking to do some long audax’s next year, so endurance rather than speed demon. Should I just do a couple of group rides and a couple of races a week or follow a training plan? I am leaning towards the first for keeping me interested even if it does yield slightly lower gains

Whilst I definitely don’t understand what trophy hunters enjoy about killing such an animal, I don’t judge them when it is done legally as it can be a huge source of income (and meat) for the local economy and normally what funds the parks conservation and anti-poaching staff.

Also it is often the fact it has such a value to the rich white man with the gun that it is still alive. If it was worthless, the locals would of killed it as a pest as who wants a giant mammal trampling their crops or eating their livestock. Whilst we might view it as beautiful to see on holiday, if you had it strolling through your garden you would most likely view it differently.

Azoun – costs £10 for a year license but found it worth it as save more than that on a single flight normally. Has much better search functionality than any website I have found.
