Went last year to Bourg for a week in late September. Flew to Geneva and hired a car and hired bikes in Duez. Met some English guys who drove and said they did it in 12hours from Birmingham door to door over night.

I would just stay in Bourg, save on time and petrol and plenty of big climbs as others have said, beautiful place.

I ride A530’s and think they are reasonable apart from the platform is slippy when wet and one is currently stuck on a crank and was a right bastard to try and remove earlier but guess that’s my fault not the pedals

General multivitamins are cheap as chips and include vitamin C and B6 which are supposedly below that line – but that assumes a certain amount of affordability. And if it’s worth taking D then you might as well take it in a multi-vitamin, surely?

I think the main issue with most cheap multivitamins is the form of the vitamin included having a low viability. Probably why magnesium is low on that chart, most magnesium supplements have a rubbish absorption rate

AFAIK none is produced by burning diesel in the middle of towns.

It is at times of high demand although the government is trying to stop it. Organisations will turn on thier diesel generators at peak times, especially during winter to avoid high import costs or to support national grid requests for additional generation. Alot of hospitals do it as they need the money but recognise they are surronded by people with breathing difficulty.lots of supermarkets, hotels, shopping centres etc.do it basically anyone with a large standby generator

On tangents, am surprised no one has brought up the environmental impact of production of new car dwarfing that of running old car which is what got environmental groups annoyed about the last scrappage scheme

In my mind, domestic diesel vehicles shouldn’t be the first target, it should be commercial vehicles. 14% of Nox pollution in the UK comes from transportation but it does get released at sensitive high density areas, so why not target the buses, taxi’s, vans and lorries that drive at low speed’s and idle in cities, surely this would make a far higher dent in the problem than someone driving their diesel in rural areas or on motorways getting penalised

Just about to replace my current diesel with another second hand diesel. I do 20,000+ miles a year and its generally 800 every other weekend in two journeys of 400 each way. I don’t drive into a large city centre very often and have to park on the street living in a flat, so for me diesel is still the right tool for the job but will embrace the change when it comes and meets my needs.
