Enjoyed it but not keen on the new Klingon look, every one knows this is what a Klingon should look like

I can’t imagine using a small screen, the bigger the screen the better from an immersive point of view, otherwise I might as well just follow a line on trainer road

I use an sqr slim as mentioned above, I have it mounted quite high and look like I’ve got a spoiler….

As the others have said, you are the most draggy thing on the bikes.assume you are on the drops the majority of the time and not wearing club fit clothing?

Following and love it. All the social media really adds a depth to it. The current route choices between skinny and Bjorn at the pointy end is making for exciting viewing.

Not sure how the race will carry on in the future though given the events this year in long distance events and how it must of impacted the race organisers, would be completely understandable if they wanted to walk away from it.

Spin at whatever speed feels natural anyway, there’s nothing worse than people going along at 120rpm at 10mph on the flat cos

That’s currently me rehabbing knee injuries as the physio says I can cycle but have to keep it above 90 which feels mega spinny to me, normally average 80ish

Jones vs Lesnar at Madison Square Garden would makes sense in terms of maximum money-gawp. When’s Lesnar’s suspension up?

Apparently it hasn’t started yet and is a year from when he applies for a license and registering to fight with the ufc

Cormier was heart breaking in defeat, going to take him a long time to get over I imagine.

Joe on his podcast always moans that he thinks it wrong to interview ko’d fighters and won’t do it anymore, so not sure what happened last night, maybe dc indicates he wanted to comment but didn’t look that way.

That Woodley fight was awful and miars game plan frustrating.

Was happy for cyborg to get her belt at last and Lawler fight was ace.

We really going to get Brock vs. Jones? Might as well book McGregor vs. Jones as well.

£500k is a pretty good target, if you’re on ~£60k a year, that would maintain your lifestyle.

That’s a pretty aggressive draw down rate, rule of thumb I normally see discussed is 4%, so for a 60k annual payout would be looking at a £1.5m pot

On the linked article, I shall be speaking (panel session as I recall) at the IMechE on the topic of electric buses in September – I know nothing about electric buses, but I do know about the connection implications. Buses appear to be the major culprits in UK urban air quality.

I was talking to someone from a DNO the other day who is working with one of the major cities looking at changing over all buses to electric, the network upgrades being discussed were staggering

Im definitely in the camp of ditch power meters and radios, they have killed mountain stages as everyone knows the magnitude of the big attacks and if they can be sustained and or pulled back at a measured pace.

Seems the race is going for smaller teams and considering a wage cap instead. The team size seems misguided to me, surely it will make no difference to the big teams with a deep talent pool but hurt those lower teams which rely on different riders on different days as they can’t sustain a whole tour with the big boys.

Was sad to hear this as recently got my eleven year daughter into linkin park and she has been loving the angst in thier music. Thought it might be a band we could go and see together. I guess not now but his legacy lives on, still providing an outlet for others feelings in his music

I was thinking about this last night listening to any questions but has thier ever been any consideration for retirement age differing by job, outside the public sector? So physical workers retire younger than office jockeys? I waa thinking each job category has a code and you accrue points say 1 a year for farmer, labourer, bin man etc. 0.9 a year for sedentary work and you have to work towards a points total, say 45 to retire.seems a bit fairer although I know all other kind of health issues come with age, not just those from a physical life

There will always be jobs for the cleverest people. As more and more technology becomes part of even lower skilled jobs then clever people will need to start filling these. Trouble is these jobs are boring, unfulfilling and low paid for clever people so that will lead to a deterioration in mental health.

The less than clever people? They’ll have had it. Surplus to requirements, useless to society. What will happen to them is anyones guess but there will be no paying jobs for them.
There was a piece on Radio 4 the other day that suggested the opposite, all the progress is in processing power and not in robotics. They can already make machines that can land planes, trade stocks, do medical diagnosis or many other jobs currently done by intelligent people. What they can’t do is make a robot that can effectively clean a toilet block was their example. They said there is every chance the high paying roles will disappear for the majority and all the menial jobs will get left to do. They also had a scenario where the menial workers are wearing a computer headset giving them instructions on the optimsed solution to complete tasks and basically using us as a meat wagon to complete its directions.

Is it good though? The process is in place for these situations and now a rider who could compete, wont, potentially because of fear of being smeared by the press

Scuttlebutt is that Aru is really disliked on the team and that they really wouldn’t lift a finger to help him win. Add in a seedy conspiracy twist and the theory is that the only reason he is still on the team and leading their GT push is that if they kick him off the team he’s likely to throw ‘omerta’ out the window and dish the full dirt on Astana..! I’ve also read in a few places that he is so disliked generally in the peloton that his chances of getting a leaders role at another team in minimal, if Astana kick him to the curb then it would likely be the end of his WorldTour career.

Funny watching Dan Martins break yesterday and De Gent and Geschke both happy to work for him all the way to the line, I was thinking what are the chances you would of seen that if it was Aru, they would of all sat up and tucked in behind him

Listening to Lance’s podacast (boo hiss I know) he said its an open secret that Landa’s contract with Movistar is already signed but their is a convention in the cycling press not to report transfer news until August 1st.
