Doubtful, firearms officers are authorised to carry firearms and empowered to make decisions to protect life up to the use of lethal force.

Saying nothing is not an option when you have those powers, you will answer all questions honestly and in full detail I would imagine. But with a fed rep there to ensure that the rules and process are followed.

    This may provide more detail.

This is what I was trying to post.

@yosemitepaul in a previous life having supported some training for CTFSO, CO19 and some specialist military units, I have the utmost respect for what they all do in this regard. Facing down individuals who may have suicide IEDs with nothing but small arms and a plate carrier. In busy public places. **** that noise. I’ll take conventional ops thanks.

Made my old job seem much simpler in a lot of ways. Although a righteous shoot, I’m sure the individuals will be debriefing the whole situation for lessons learned and whomever put that particular dog down will have some settling of conscience to do.

I hope that is done painlessly and the process puts them back on duty where they clearly belong.

I had a similar pain, turns out my it band was mega tight in my right leg, when I bend down or run the pain manifest in my knee due to it being pulled out of alignment. Or something like that.

They have to follow the river, the whole of London is controlled airspace, dropping out of heli-lanes requires flightplans and prior approval. One of the slates is posted above, lots of rules governing it.

There’s a fleet of helicopters that do VIP shuttles. But they quite often drive, easier to manage for protection details.

Anyhoo, out of all the rotary aircraft i’ve worked and travelled on the Chinook wouldn’t be my first choice for a relaxing commute.

Doggles are good, Rex Specs are better. Pricey, but better.

If you can find the quiet reserves, they’re golden. Ol Pejeta was like that. Spent the day driving around there and barely saw another wagon, mostly just rangers.

Nairobi is not a fun place. Out in the sticks is different, also avoid the anywhere near the border with Somalia!

I enjoyed my time, but got to see a side that turned me off tourism there. Botswana is where i’d love to go.

Is that Farage painting a modern day ‘The Portrait of Dorian Gray’ unfolding before our eyes?

Having lived in Kenya for a while, I’d avoid. Safety is one thing to be aware of, less of an issue out on the reservations. The safaris are just a churn, over populated reserves with too many people and wagons.

I’m trying to find the picture of the 12 wagons all trying to get into position to take a picture of one Leopard.

I know, i’m not a **** idiot. It was steeped in sarcasm.

Shame, they’re missing a trick. Could charge even more for the privilege of standing on an overcrowded train. Ah well, i’m sure rolling the turd in some new glitter will make people believe it’s shiny and new…

Improve the bridges and stations. And get some of those shiny double-decker carriages. Think of the money they could make using the current model of ramming the trains full of people, well over capacity to sit. Bare coin to rake in there.

Transiting through the heli-lane, there’s a few exercises on at the moment so could be that. AH from Wattisham transiting south to Salisbury Plain area will go through lanes and vice versa.

And no, they don’t mooch about just because ‘someone is town’.

Had this done yesterday, something I’ve been procrastinating over for a while.

David Barry @ Ultimate Skin, Leeds.

We had a good chat about covering some very old, quite poor tattoos as well.

Slipknot were amazing on Monday, absolutely banging setlist, delivered faultlessly.

Support Behemoth were heavy and brutal, they have a new fan now.

Did get my phone nicked though, as did many others. Ah well.

I’m tempted to see if I can modify the k series foam nozzle to fit my OC3. I shall let you know.

I’d be pretty bummed if I had to get rid of that wave. Got a lot of tour memories attached to it.

Funny, it was always the blokes with Gerbers that usually wound up borrowing the Leatherman…

Probably find something cheap but usable on wish?

Or just buy some Fox pants, they’re bloody ace.

I’ve got two, the Signal and an old wave. Both brilliant, the wave is well travelled, been used in anger more times than I care to remember and still going strong.

To be honest, you can’t go wrong with any Leatherman.

@ratherbeintobago You remove the tank and plug the hose into the valve that draws water from the tank. The pipe has a filter on it so you can dump in pretty much any water source as well. Accessory Kit

The battery seems to last for ages, I’ve had it running for quite a while washing the bike when I was lazy and let the mud harden!

    greenskin

@ratherbeintobago it works fine, the 4l tank is fine for when the bike is still freshly muddy. As soon as it dries you’ll need more water. Which is where the additional pipe comes it, also got the car charger so I’m never without juice.

I have the little Karcher, got it then the Workz came out. Typical.

It works quite well, bought the extra hose for it to use in a water Jerry can.

Not used the Workz yet so have no opinion on it.

Screw that, most parkruns I marshall at in the local area are replete with club runners who get impatient or ill-tempered with the ordinary bods just getting a little exercise.

It’s a crappy ego boost for those who have something seriously lacking in their life. So no doubt a bike equivalent would be exactly the same.

My dogs, one no longer with us, the other two adopted to good people. Not a decision I was at all happy about, but three dogs and me in a single room on an army barrack was never going to fly and my ex is an arse.

    Margot, Dillon and MacGruber.
Lurcher, Mix-terrier and Jack Russell. All rescues.

Slipknot in a week, long time fan so every gig is a pleasure. Very tempted to get Pearl Jam tickets for London in July. £162!
