    1. Fill lower gasket with cold water to just under valve (2/3mm).
    2. tamp coffee down tight
    3. Screw all together
    4. Heat on low/medium heat on a ring that is slightly smaller than the stovetop.
    5. Quick swirl before pouring.
    6. heat milk and sugar.
    7. froth milk
    8. add coffee
    9. enjoy

You’re not alone, I feel your pain. Bikepark wales this weekend was full of goons riding/pushing up the wrong way, and stopping in the middle of the fastest parts of the trails for a chat and an energy gel picnic.

I never had any problems with half decent FSA or Cane Creek headsets. Around a RRP for £40-50 for a full headset you get decent sealing and bearings that last for a good time. I see no point paying extra for more expensive headsets. If adjusted correctly there is no difference between a £5 headset and a £500 headset, its just the sealing properties you are paying for.

Always get these messages. I had a seat from a van for sale on ebay starting price 0.99p. No end of messages asking do I have a buy it now price.
I respond with its an auciton I’m leaving it run unless you cna make me a sensible offer. 99% never replied. One replied with

“I’ll offer £10 no one would pay for more than that….”

I left the auction run and sold it to a guy for £200 who drove 3 hours to get it.

moral of the story. Ignore them and leave the auction run.

Why would you want to go Hope over CC? Are you saying you need a whole new lower assembly or whole headset (or just the race)?

the headset the OP is running is an internal headset with a standard 1 1/8th headtube. with this kind of headtube you can run an ec44 headcup that allows you to run a taper steer fork. you can’t fit just a race. a whole lower cup is needed.
you can keep the upper internal cup and fit an ec44 lower cup. Hope imho is a much better piece of kit over the canecreek headset

    transit connect?

you have to think that a vans footprint is a fair size bigger than a car. and alot use the same engine so 40+mpg is pushing it.

never had a problem with screwfix’s Titan bits. both chuck and sds fitting. cheap and do the job very very well.
if you’re going to drill 5mm no need to go for a 3mm 1st.

never trust a thread on stw debating what works/doesn’t as the thief will come prepaired for said security measure.

Must be cable operated as the frame only takes that type and I don’t want cable ties all over.

Thats where these little gizmo’s come into play….

ditch the zip tie and black plastic clip in the pic. You can fit the two metal adaptors to the cable guides and use the likes of a reverb…

    easy peasy

The beauty of the Pi is that all you have to do is swap out the SD card and reboot it to totally change the machine.

if only other things were that easy… ecu’s on cars etc

Just prepping myself for a 100+ post thread appearing soon when the pi doesn’t work after being taken to 4 independant computer experts because you’re adiment the ARM is faulty. yet it turns out to be a fault with the connection to the power supply..

cpc are great. I’ve bought alot of items from them over the years. but once you’ve ordered prepair yourself with masses of junk mail through the letterbox from them

Two power cables needed, one for the speakers, one for the phone.

Two power cables will be needed to run the pi and the speakers.

A third cable from phone to speakers.

    bluetooth?

Small unit that’s likely to be more sensitive to being splashed, and easier to knock over.

    the pi isnt?

Needs some kind of docking stand otherwise you have to pick it up to operate it. You have to worry more about clean hands, don’t want that touchscreen all grimy.

    b/s

None of that is a major issue, but it’s all slightly not optimal. Plus how much are android phones?
More than a Pi by the look of it.

look for an old t-mobile g1…. components for the pi will all add up…

That shouldn’t happen the reverb is a sealed unit. nothing is displaced in the frame when the seatpost is dropped. strange one that

na this will be a good experiment once you can program the pi you’ll have no problem reprogramming the ecu of a passat

or jump start it again but leave the jump cables connected for a while longer?

    greeble

Of course, if I’d done enough research myself, I’d have had it fixed for £40, since that’s all the original problem cost to fix. But that’s apparently the wrong thing to do according to this thread.

but you still took it to 3 other garages? since the original troubled one…..
