i’ll keep an eye out I know how he feels having bikes stolen back in November. Get down to Splott market boot sale and the boot sale at Ninian park, stolen bikes are always showing up there. There is a gang in Rumney, Cardiff that are known for hanging around cwmcarn and following you home post ride. Comming back a few days later and taking bikes.

I had my DH and xc bike stolen a day after my birthday in November. both bikes were in a shed which was securely locked with Squire locks, ir security light pointing at it. and both bikes were chained to shielded ground anchors in a concrete floor.
Didn’t stop them, mains power to the light cut. squire lock chopped and the locks securing the bikes cut too.
Police arrived on scene and told me they must have known about the bikes for a while and they’d had a good look at the shed before as they had come prepared.
    devastated to say the least.
3 weeks later Mr plod phones from a station 10 miles away asking me to describe my dh bike as he tells me its sitting right in front of him in the office. I race there give a statement give him photos and the serial number of the bike. 30 mins later i walk out with it!
the only thing missing from the bike was…… the dust caps! nothing else had been touched apart from the pie eating sH*t who had the bike had wound full preload on the forks and used a hammer and screw driver on the spring collar to wind a hell of amount of of preload on the shock spring. easily fixed!

assuming you have the right connectors any shimano hydraulic disc lever is compatable with any shimano hydraulic disc caliper.

currently running old saint calipers with slx levers

i have some questions regarding your tyre hypothesis.
the minion has high rolling resistance and the high roller low?
yet the high roller has a far more aggressive tyre profile designed compaired to the minion?

how can the minion/high roller be more/less prone to punctures if they use the same casing the only difference is the tread pattern?

this a minion is a super dry hardpack tyre and not a wet weather riding tyre. next everyone will be riding spikes on a super dry hardpack trail.
    see this tyre guide
    http://www.pinkbike.com/news/mud-tires-details-2009.html

this is so true > First off lets dispel all those idiots on the forum that say, “I ride Minions in the mud and they work really well”.

stick with high rollers. minions have no place in wet weather.

Has anyone found an angle finder (like the i-phone app) where you can measure angles, like a HTA on a bike frame?

yes i have it installed on my G1 its called inclinometer

kaesae care to explain how you managed to wizz around the workshop with such speed of an F1 pit team yet have a crippling back problem? also if you are claiming benifts are they aware you are making extra income off the back of selling these frame on ebay? £30,000 worth of tooling and equipment to repair frames? not even the entire park tool range adds up to that much

    HTTP404 – Do we have a No.1 Freerider?

You haven't paid homage at the altar of Elbry? Dude, look him up and prepare to be amazed. If you need a definition of freeride gnarr, look no further than Big E.

for sure i was so hyped and stoked to see this sick rad freeride video by the man himself here

just noticed one massive error with this frame
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140357904439
the shock is mounted wrong, this will cause the shock to smash into the downtube to full compression, maybe he thought it was a kona frame he was rebuilding

you're trying to make out that the frames you sell are better than new, they have had hours of work put into them i.e. bending the rear end to strighten it out, rattle canning the frames with a "better than new" finish. "oiling" the shock (oil??) water proofing the bearings and bushings? removing the "angry donkey" from the frame.

putting it simply, this video sums it all up
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiJ9fy1qSFI

on a side note. the correct fork/shock fluid must be used not common household/engine oil. a memeber of my family works for a major fork/shock tuner's,importers and a set of forks came back with 50mm of brasso in the lowers as the user kept applying it to thier wornt stanasion as they thought it'd remove the scratches 8O

i'm sure he's quite capable have you seen the speed he zips around his workshop in the youtube video

if you buy this bike i have a tip for you, you have to check to see if the angry donkey have been removed from the bike, its well know in these sort of frames. here's how to do it

Remove your rear shock and run your rear end through it,s travel gently. The action should be smooth and consistent and should require any real force. If it,s not consider how much better your riding experience would be if your frame wasn,t a cross between a donkey and a pogo stick with wheels, EEEE AAAWWW!!.Get it sorted and keep it pinned or hold on tight it,s gonna be a rough ride and a hard landing. EEEE AAAWWW!! Angry donkey strikes again!

The 'strange one' seems to be able to whiz about in his little workshop quite quickly for someone who has trouble walking

considering he has a crippling back problem so to speak, he wouldn't look out of place on an F1 pit team the speed he zips around. i'll post the youtube clip to the local benifit office to see what they think

but if i wanted to go on a skills course i'd pay someone credible not someone who thinks they are "it" i haven't seen him at a DH race in about 5 years. he isn't actually sponsored by 1/2 as many as he says he is. no one lists him on thier team or websites.
he's just trying to be someone he's not
