They are the bearings on my HT2 bottom bracket. I had a Superstar BB on for a year and it spun round very freely… until the bearing started to fall apart at the weekend. So I put the HT2 BB on because apart from the fact that it was a bit sluggish it was still in excellent condition.

No Sign of Tankslapper since he said he was going to the pub.

I recon he’s face down in a local gravelpit.

See your doctor – mine set me up with months of physio which came to nothing. Then he got me an appointment with a foot doctor (can’t remember the proper name for them) who made me some bespoke orthopedics to go in my shoes. Recovery was swift after that.

Test rode a Trance X – really disappointed as I love my old skool Trance.

To be honest though I think it may have been something to do with the super-long stem – urgh -felt like it needed a shopping basket on the front.

Same here – Just wondering if there are any good spots to do this. Like a camera at the bottom of a big hill?

Good work Tim, thanks for taking the pictures. I’ll be purchasing a few of mine once that option is availible. Mrs Greasystain liked the B&W one of me disappearing off into disatance – I think that says something about our marriage 🙂

They sound great – Seems Apricot is a winner.

Mrs G has gone her own way though – looks like I’ve got 2 varieties:

    1) Coconut, Chocolate and Cherry

    2) Ginger, Banana and Chocolate

    NICE 🙂

It seems she has a recipe that involves no oven cooking. cool..

You could try drilling the inside valve hole to 3/8″. As recommended by Stans. Dont forget to de-burr.

    Good Luck

If one is still feeling strong after the 100km is it possible to carry on to the 121km finish?

    1) I will be riding with someone who looks just like Eric Cantona.

    2) By coincidence he is a MU fan and wears MU tops when cycling.

    3) Please say hello when you ride past me.

I’ll be riding with an Eric Cantona look-a-like who’ll probably be wearing a Manchester United top.

Please say hello as you sail past me.

Well it seems to be the case – just didn’t want to buy a new chainring then find out it was the cassette all along.

    greasystain

I’m not saying they are ‘B*stards’ I just can’t see where that price comes from.

    Raw Materials = X
    Manufacture = Y
    Shipping & Distribution = Z

    How can X+Y+Z=£17?

I have no idea what these cost would be – perhaps someone can enlighten me?

    greasystain

OK maybe not, but Shimano HAVE the tool made 100 times over. You can’t tell me it cost the best part of £17 to ship a pair o cleats here from Japan.

From what I understand a bicycle causes about 20p/mile of trail damage.
