If you see or know the PCSO in your area have a word.
If you don’t, contact the police on 101 non-emergency number.

They will appreciate a heads up as these things are easier to nip in the bud early on than a year down the line when the gang has settled in.

They will have a word but in reality it is a Sect. 5 public order offence so it is an arrestable offence if they don’t take the coppers advice.

Just a thought but if they are playing rap music loudly can I assume they be explicit lyrics being played?
If so this actually makes the offence worse. Nuisance behaviour is one thing but language that can cause offence or distress is something the police will take more seriously, especially if there are children / families that can hear it.

I’ve just bought a guide version of the Rab vapour rise jacket and initial impressions look good.

This is the general version which I also tried. The hoods are a lovely fit.

Although I am aware that in a veiled way I may have just encouraged you to by a fatbike! 🙂

Mix it up a bit fella. What style of riding do you do?

I went from wanting to race and and get short fast loops in then bought a fatbike shifted down a few gears and now twiddle my way round the peak on long day epics taking in all the beautiful scenery I was panting to much to see or appreciate before!

Out of interest how much profit would the LBS expect to make on a £600 bike?

Would he actually make more of a profit if you bunged him some cash to build the bike up so you get no hassle, he gets a profit for nothing more than labour and your both happy?

I’d go for stunt style scooter like the Madd and slamm ones mentioned above. Buuild like a tank and not overly heavy so perfect for kids that will be throwing them down. They be big enough for them to use them for years. I’d stay away from places like toys r us as they sell toys not sports equipment.

I bought two of these for my then 5 (just) and 7 year olds online and received a load of free stickers, magazines and bits as well.
    £55 including free delivery

If you get vertical play, check the psi is set to 250. this can be a reason. Chances are if its leaking air then it’ll need a service anyways but its a quick fix to get you through a few rides.

Is the quality much better with the black 3+ compared to the silver 3+?
Can get a silver 3+ for £200 new so seems a good deal of I can use my iPhone as a remote.
Want the best quality (especially pics) that I can though so very tempted to just get the black 3+
Wondering what the real world difference is though.

On a similar (tenuous) situation I recently rode a section exits between a couple of houses.
Someone had decided to stack a wall of cobbles two high across the run up to the exit every three foot (three stacks).

This seemed to have been done to slow bikers down exiting between the houses but the end is a blind bend between two low walls so its very dangerous as your on top of them before you even seem them.

Not sure the legal stand point of it but I scattered the cobbles off to one side before someone hurts themselves…

My 5 year old lad uses the Peewee stuff. Really good, nice and comfy, light but tough where it needs to be.

I bought separately but the full set shown here is what he uses for bmxing. Lots and lots of spills and always gets up wanting more…

I would like to track my rides as a training tool but the ones i’d most keen to record and look back on are the long distance one that may be 12 – 24 hours.
Not always ride time on the 24 hours but I’d be very interested to know what sort of pace I’m doing during the parts of the long rides.

My iphone wont cut it recording for 24 hours due to battery woes.
Any suggestions? My old garmin edge 500 would do over 6 hours due to battery

The Nissan was travelling along Bosworth Road towards Market Bosworth when it was involved in a collision with the bicycle, which was also travelling in the same direction.

This is the bit that caught my eye.
How much notice do you need when a rider is front of you before you hit them?

    RIP lil one

So as her up there said /\

The winner of the Jersey is Crampjumper 😉

    Runners up are…
    Wonkey_Donkey
    Rusty Mac
    Bearnecessities
SturmeyArcher (after squeezing in at the 11th hour!)

I’ll get an email off to you all shortly so I can grab your addresses.

You should all be extremely proud of yourselves for getting on board and supporting her. I was in to minds whether to float it on here but once again you lot have proved just how positive this community really is.

Not that the figures matter but I think you should all know that the STW collective accounted for over £400.00 of the donations received when you take the gift aid into account.
That’s roughly 33% of all the donations received, from a bunch of strangers spread across the world that have never even met me let alone Evie!

Its taught her an important life lesson about how if you strive to do something good and positive people will always get behind you, not matter who you are.

Your all amazing, and I only wish I could thank you all in person!

Indeed crapjumper, super proud!! She’s been super excited about this for a while now and I’m so happy to see it all come to fruition with some many positive vibes coming from everyone!
Its done her confidence the world of good and highlighted to everyone what I already knew. What a kind, thoughtful and selfless person she is!

I’ll type up the winners later but for now I’ll let Evie tell you herself!

Judging by the quote referencing correctly fitted and maintained id guess cycle world either fitted the seat collar or supplied the bike.

Seat collar fails and bloke has accident. Cycle world blame fisher as faulty product, fisher blame cycle world as incorrectly installed or can’t prove it wasn’t fitted to specifications etc. Both agree to share settlement to wave goodbye to the problem.

I’m speculating but if that’s the case the rider has still had an accident that could have been worse even if he has creamed it. If you buy a new product or pay a professional to fit it you expect it to be safe.

    Hey everyone!

Well it’s been a long busy day but Evie did amazingly!!
After being brought into the hall she was sat on her own in front of 300 children whilst the head teacher rambled on and on.
I was amazed at how brave she was, she’s a fairly quiet and timid girl but she sat there beaming away and looked so happy.
No tears as the chop took place and within a few seconds we had over 20″ of hair ready to go to some other special little girl.
It’s been a long day for her so we are going to do the draw tomorrow after school as she wants to make a little video to say thank you to you all.

As you can imagine I’m a very very proud dad today and you lot should be to. We still need to get the remnants in and have a final count up but I’m confident we’ll be topping the £1500 figure which is astounding bearing in mind the original £500 figure I thought was reaching a bit!!

So until tomorrow it’s a big thank you for your part in her little adventure and a big smile from the special girl herself!

    £783.00 Online
maybe £100.00 offline but I’ll try and get these online over the weekend.
I reckon she’s very close now. Theres also a couple of boxes we made up at the school and the hairdressers who’d doing the chop so should hopefully get a few quid from there as well.
Add to that the £185.25 in gift aid additions currently online and it might even be on its way to £1500.00 which is quite frankly crazy!!!

    The girls doing good!

Heard to many stories of money ruining friends and family.
Can easily get awkward so I generally wouldn’t lend money out.
That said the ones close to me I would just give them it anyway. What’s mine is yours and all that. With true friends it balances out over the years anyway so I’m never fussed about who pays for beers, a meal or whatever.

I’m used to a missus and two kids freeloading of me anyway so if it’s just me and a mate it’s like a cheap date!!

On the OP front if they were truly bothered they’d have sorted straight away or replied. Give them to the end of the weekend then there’s no excuse of business etc. come Sunday night it’s be a polite message saying you need the money back, sort bank transfer straight away or you’ll bob round to collect it one night. The prospect of you just randomly turning up one night should gee them on.

The totals doing amazingly. We have also received a few offline donations so could even hit over £1000 when all done. Astounding!!
I’ll leave the drawer until Sunday eve in case we get any last minute donations and Evie want to conjure up some method of selecting that currently includes the dog 😕

    Thanks everyone once again!
