The Police didn’t have a view of the riders and started to run to the junction to engage, so obviously in contact with other officers. This supports the description saying helicopters that can be heard overhead had been tracking them.

If they are just a mob then why do they speak to the other cyclist pushing his bike and then let him go on his way??

Obviously more to what is shown in that clip. Short clips can easily be taken out of context.

how many Police Officers can you get for that much?

Hindsights a wonderful thing isn’t it.

So it would be cheaper for the Police to get out there and get stuck in!

No, it mean’s that the limited funding the police have will be further stretched. With planned job cuts / freezing recruitment within the police force already on the cards it not exactly what they need. Thats before you consider the cost of the man power of having the amount of feet on the street we’ve seen over the last few days.

So he gives one name and then pulls out a credit card with another name on it.
He can be placed under arrest if his indetification isn’t provided or the “the constable has reasonable grounds for doubting whether a name furnished by the relevant person as his name is his real name”.

Seems pretty clear cut to me. He got mouthy and ended up being arrested. Don’t really see what the colour of his skin has to do with anything.

All bearable, strangely satisfying kind of pain. Quite hypnotic and a good experience overall. Embrace it as part of the experience instead of worrying about it.
Half sleeve won’t be bad, under the arm will likely be the tender spot for you that will sting a bit more.
I found the ribs & spine the most acute, in that order.

Take it easy. If its indoors try and climb on slabs most of the night. That way you’ll put majority of the weight bearing through your legs and avoid hammering your arms.

have a go on something straight up (Not overhanging at all) towards the end of the night but your arms will be pumped after a while on these climbs so you’ll be fit for nothing afterwards.

Good stuff but you have to wonder why he didn’t stick around.
The story makes it sound like he swooped in his underpants and then did one clark kent stylie.

If i’d have jump into the river to save a drowning baby I think I would have stuck around to make sure they were ok / ambulance arrived etc

thanks so much guys! this is the crazy thing, the bits that should be a pleasure — the bit where the rider does up his jersey and sits up on the bike at the finish– is the bit that is difficult. I literally have to write the last paragraph of my penultimate section today before i can begin that long weekend, barely five lines, but i feel like i’m losing it, it’ll get done, but does it have to make you feel wretched in the process? bleugh!

Well theres 5 lines right there. Although the last line did taper off

I think the entire outcome will depend on Frank. He’s the freshest of the 4 and has the ability over Cadel or Tommy to put some big attacks in. He’ll either put good time in like Andy did or they’ll chase him down and tire themselves out even more.

If Frank attacks I’d put podium AS, CD, FS.

If he has a mellow day it’ll be CD, AS, FS.

I’d love Tommy to bury himself in the TT though. He deserves to be stood on that podium.

Yep been stung a couple of times but have bought and sold so much over the last couple of years thats its a very small minority.
People on here are generally a lot more pleasant to deal with than other areas.

It does annoy me though that the main culprit that shafted me (FREEFORMFIVESPOT) still trades on here regularly. I try and throw a spanner in the works if I notice his adds though, wouldn’t want others to be stung.

You don’t have a clue – you’ve assumed she is innocent and/or that the Fiscal made the right decision even they would know more facts that you. That’s your bias.

Please quote me were I have said the previous owner is innocent. I haven’t passed any judgement on the previous owner at all.

There is little facts about the circumstance why she was in possesion but it obviously didn’t warrant a conviction.

It obviously didn’t warrant a conviction as she wasn’t convicted.

You are assuming her guilt based on nothing factual.

    Why Bias?
The facts of his case are present, the previous owners arn’t.

Bias would be assuming the guilt or innocence of the previous owner based on speculation and not facts. How are your conclusions drawn again?

    Why unfair?
He was prosecuted for illegal possession of a firearm. He was in possesion of a firearm. Where he got it from is irrelevant.

If you want to make how he obtained it relevant then that includes another illegal act. I fail to see why anyone should sympathise with this criminal.

The prosecution of the original owner should be decided on its own merit. There is little facts about the circumstance why she was in possesion but it obviously didn’t warrant a conviction.

My ex was a nightmare, at least she was consistent though. If you lost something you just had to remember where it was and then locate the nearest drawer as things always got swept to the nearest out of sight point. Things did get silly though when the drawers got full. Not sure what’s worse though as the currant OH never puts anything away and the place is a shithole.

Have you ever been to a beach?

Yes I grew up by the coast and all my family is still there. I visit the beach alot with my kids. Your right, it isn’t a new phenomenon. That’s why when I go I take provisions to ensure my children are safe. The same any responsible parent or carer should do.

You still haven’t answered if your opinion would change if this happened in her back garden. People can still get burnt by the sun away from the beach you know or is this a phenomenon you haven’t come across yet…

    gravitysucks

Not allowed a day trip to the beach maybe?

so restricting your children’s activities to negate the carer of any responsibility then?

Negligance is negligance. Would you have a different opinion if the this happened in the carer’s back garden then? Or should the parent’s also not let them go outside?

    gravitysucks

This isn’t going to help, but in all honesty, number one carer is the parent. If it were me I would be thinking of finding a new carer, BUT, I don’t think I would have allowed my 14 month old to be taken to the beach all day in the first place. If there is any blaming to be done I think it has to be shared around a bit.

So at what point is the (Professional, qualified, Registered & Paid) carer responsible.

She is being PAID to be responsible whilst the parents are not present. As the parents provided suncream & a hat what else would you like them to do? FFS

Just to add a bit of perspective, as a funeral director I’ve attended / conducted over 2500 funeral over the last few years.
I have never been to a service where a small child or baby caused any noticable issues or problems at a service.

    gravitysucks

But I do think mum would want them there and that is why I want to take them.

    Easy, take them then.
Funeral services have evolved a lot over the years and they are not the somber events they once were. Although still traditional 95% of services these days are prioritised around what the deceased would have wanted and celebrating that and there lives.

    Sorry for your loss MF.
Personal desicion based on what you want and what your Mother would have wanted.
Your kids were her family and what people think is kinda irrelevant. As said before I would question an adults motives for not wanting a child there.

Both of my children have been to family funerals around that age and younger and they were a breath of fresh air for the family.
We just took a couple of books and a wooden jigsaw thing for them to quietly play with.

That said it was never really an issue. I wanted them there, all my family wanted them there. It was a family celebration, they were family.

Some new cards have low balance transfer rates (0% for 12 months etc) which normally allow overdrafts to be classed as a debt to transfer. not sure about existing cards though. Speak to you CC company.
I’m assuming you’ve compared the apr of both?

    cheeky mare!!
Next time she’s going on holiday and your due to take her to the airport turn up at hers in your bermudas with an inflatable ring. Demand that she takes you to the airport and lets you go on her holiday instead.

    That’ll learn her

+1 for getting another babysitter in and making a point of her dropping you in it.

I saw SANCTUM in 3D and parts of did look very good and especially with the underwater flaoty feel to it. That said it annoyed the hell out of me in other parts of the film and I found myself having to really concentrate and focus at times. Overall I think it made the film worse

Shibboleth, this isn’t a case of a burglary though is it?

In the past he came up to my wife and asked her if he could become her intimate friend

So a large bloke intimidated and propositioned a woman and then later returned when she was on her own with her 4 yr. old daughter and attempted to get into their home. You realy think she needs to WTFU because she fears for her own safety?

I really hope your OH / sister / Mother is never put in a similar situation; Doesn’t sound like they’d get much support

How serious are you wanting to take the Half Marathon?

Running for an hour a couple of times a week at your own pace building up to 7 mph should see you fine. I’m not a runner but did this to get round a half marathon without to much bother.
