Like the look of the Blackstar ID Core.

Would a 10 or 20 watt be best for home use? He’s not going to be playing any gigs down the local with it!

Haha was just looking at the affinity as a matter of fact.

He uses a full acoustic so now you’ve highlighted that I guess it makes sense for a full electric?!

I love this place! Font of all knowledge and that. Good to know its not a total crack pot idea! will try and decipher what you’ve all said and figure out where to go on.

Are all guitars equal in the sense of size etc?I noticed some 3/4 size which I assume are for smaller people!

I had a squeaky Achilles once. Sounded like a mouse or halloumi cheese when I walked around.
It was inflamed due to overstretching after running my saddle to high on a long road ride.

Weddings, funerals, that fat club you go to, various other groups hiring the Church hall for birthdays, meetings etc.

Lots of assets, lots of parishioners donating money either at the plate, through regular fund raising or even bequeathing large amounts following their own demise. Lots of old folk involved with churches…

Yes contact police. They’ll send someone round for a welfare check to ensure she is ok.
If she’s serious then hopefully she’ll get the professional help she needs.
If she’s taking the pee out of you then a visit from the police will make her re-think her actions and hopefully stop crying wolf.

Chipped my left elbow aged about 17. It floated about for about for a few years before it got small enough that I didn’t notice it.

Was painful to lean on for the first few years. Like if you lean on a small stone. Eventually stopped but its still a little tender to lean on.
I did the other one a few years later so at least its balanced out and stops me slouching at the table!

Still have the indentation in my elbow joint to this day.

Needs to be on EE as I’ve sorted a contract with Plusnet which is based in the EE network.

£10 a month for unlimited texts, 5gb of data and 500mins talk time…

The gift of patience will keep on giving for years

    😆

Her Mum has been on O2 for years so that could be a good solution!
Will she have to keep her O2 SIM in it for the duration of unlock or can I put the O2 SIM in, request an unlock then switch them back again?

    Beaver section leader here.
I can understand why some people are put off. The “one hour a week” is great fun. Its the other many many hours that is hard work and time consuming. Exec meetings, planning meetings, training, training meetings, AGM’s and thats before all the extra events you put on.
When I started as section leader I wanted to ensure the kids had loads of opportunities that Beavers don’t always get because of their age. That unfortunately means lots of weekend days taken away to…
Indoor winter camp, outdoor summer camp, 2 x weekend hikes, 1 x weekend bike, Panto trip, district events, and normally throw in a couple of special things in as well like a trip to Crocky trials or bell boating etc.
Great great fun but it does take a lot of your time and energy!

    The day my hero died….

Devastated this morning. Been watching his dot for years and over the last 12 days its felt like I went to Bed with Mike and woke up with Mike. Couldn’t have been less prepared for what I woke up to this morning.

    Truly truly gutted!

Roughly 50km until it starts getting vertical so that’ll be the test to see who’s feeling strong and who’s hanging on.

Mike’s put in a ridiculous effort with no sleep in many many hours so he won’t be able to keep it up forever!

Will be keeping my eyes open and see what come up, seems a few good options out there so will see what comes up first and I can get in on quick.

Seems that a Thud Buster is a prerequisite for my good lady at the back so she’s not instantly put off!

Cheers for all the info peeps.

Lot of good tips there TJ. Based near the Peak District otherwise I’d def be nipping over for a spin!
Reckon size wise I’d be 20″ and the OH 18″ so hopefully close enough that we could change positions fairly easily!

Hadn’t seen much of the Ventana’s. American company?? That full Sus looks mint!! I can see this becoming potentially very expensive!

Would be ace getting out doing some touring and bikepacking as well. I’m lucky enough to have a OH with a great sense of adventure whos not afraid of getting muddy if sleeping in the middle of no where so plenty of scope for fun!

If registered at your house then i’d wonder if insurance is also based there which would mean the insurance is invalid.

Tow it out of the way.

If it was moved and the window happened to be subsequently smashed it could be reported to the police as a stolen and abandoned vehicle…

Yeh bought 3 phones from them never had a drama. You can get it shipped from the EU warehouse which is in Spain. Pay a bit more but not then paying import tax and not having to wait so worth it.
My last one turned up in 4 working days from ordering.

I got a Redmi note 3 and was really happy with it for 18mths until it got waterlogged on a very wet day in snowdonia.

Replaced it with a Note 4 pro and very happy with that as well. Ticks all your boxes and is £165.

Been using Chinese phones phones for 4 years now and wouldn’t look back

Could stretch to £150 or get others to buy extras like batteries etc which would work well.

Might have to check with him what sort of style he wants as there’s a fair amount to choose from!

    Whats FTX like?

..a bit cruel but told the kids that when they hear the noise of an ice-cream van they should run and hide because it’s the cleaning van looking for children to do the cleaning. They believed it for years.

Funny that, Our ice creams man plays the music when he’s run out of ice creams!

Where are you based? I’m on the edge of the peak district and always looking for an excuse to get out more, give me a shout. Have a fair ridings buddies but with time constraints etc easily find a lot of my rides are solo.

I’ve found a fair few local groups on facebook who I drop in with on occasion. Groups that I have never heard about outside of facebook, maybe worth a luck

    Nope. Hate it.
Its a good company with a decent work ethic and they look after you wages wise but the Manager is poison. One of those unpleasant people who never has a good word to say and goes out of his way to make issues and problems where there are none. Which is laughable as the work force is very good, competent and dedicated. We all just get on with the job and there’s little for him to actually manage.
Many, many concerns brought up over the years to the Director of the company who buries her head in the sand.
Totally lost faith with the company 18 months ago and would walk out tomorrow and never look back if it was viable to do so. Kids to look after and all that…

Never had a problem, take the kids on occasion and just follow the leave no trace rule. I used to make sure I was very far out of the way but over the years you soon realise that with discretion and late arrivals and early starts there’s not many places you can’t bed down.
Never start fires, just make hot chocolate for the kids instead.

I get this on the bike as well if doing long long days in hot conditions.
If i’m doing a long run or 10hrs + on the bike i’ll tape them up.

Don’t worry much about what tape you use, basically your just creating a barrier so what ever stays stuck. I have elastic tape (like a plaster with out the pad) but to be honest the vast majority of times I’ve noticed that they are sore mid ride and just used duct tape I always carry on the bike. rip a small square off and stick it over the nip, problem solved!

Isn’t the standard answer WTB Nano TCS?

Yes it is. They are great all round tyres. I have the tubeless versions and offer plenty of grip off road, fine in the wet and when on the road with a few extra psi roll really well due to the center tread pattern.
    You won’t be disappointed.

I only mention it as my wife (who writes as s hobby) said “Chekhovs Gun” as soon as the hounds were mentioned. It’s lazy continuity to have Sansa quote him when she wasn’t there.

I thought it made perfect sense. Snow was ready to pulverize his skull in then looking at Sansa realised that she, having suffered more at his hands, needed her revenge more than he did. He likely had him tied up in the dungeon with the dogs and told Sansa what Ramsey’s intentions with the dogs were going to be.

    Yep Beaver Leader here.
Couldn’t justify dropping my son off, heading home, then heading back 30 mins later to collect.

I love it. Great fun, especially at Beavers age and very rewarding. My son will move up to cubs at the end of the year but I’ll be staying with the Beavers.

What surprised me is how much kids haven’t done. As an active ourdoorsy type our family is always up to stuff so our kids have experienced a lot. You find you’ll be taking a lot of kids out to do things they have never done before which you take for granted with your own kids. Very very rewarding.

Just split up with the Mrs and left her and the kids with everything.
£20k of unsecured debt to deal with, I’m renting and with the debt to contend with no real option of saving for a deposit for a house for the foreseeable future so could be renting for some time.
Likely another 10 years of supporting the Ex maintenance wise so prospects for getting debt free or my own house looking pretty slim….
BUT the kids are happy, I earn enough that I don’t have to worry about not being able to pay bills and debts or making ends meet.
I may not be able to get my own place but I climb and ride my bike and everything else seems to fall into place.
If I buy a house in 10 years time when I’m debt and kid free then I’ll only be 45 years old. Reckon I could buy my own little pad and pay it of in 10 years so I’ve no real concerns.

That Yamaham looks a goer and gets some good reviews so think i’ll take a punt on that. Had a couple of Yamaha stereos and amps in the past and always be really happy with them
