I know that they refuse self referrals.
    But they don’t?

Used to live in E14 (before the Yuppies arrived) and then E3 myself.

Thanks for that. But born in Plaistow and lived in E3 Mile end and Bromley by bow for about 27 years
and now in East Ham E6 for several years.

Stoatsbrother Grantway – trust me I know it isn’t. It could have saved me making regular formal complaints on behalf of patients.

Trust me go via a Doctor and you just seem to have no chance having Physio.
My Doctor told me if he made an appointment il wait a year so I self referred
    and waited 2 days ?

    Errr… What?

No physio self referral on the NHS on our patch…. Shame. If you have it that’s great but it is not universal.

All you need to do is go to the Physio department in your Hospital and self referral.
    Thats what I did.

This is in the Bourough of Newham East London
But cannot see this only being offered here, think you may need to check.

Project The issue is more why the NHS is sometimes so expensive that a physio appointment with a junior level physio locally was costing about £70 on average with a 6 to 8 month routine wait. The world of NHS budgets is totally Alice-in-Wonderland.

Ermm you are so wrong about the wait time you can self referral, in which you can be scene
within a few days to a week then if you need to revisit afterwards you they will book
you in for your course of Physio.

Nope not local but friend lives in Arundel and been riding with a group for years
We started out near Rackham if that helps.
Done a very large loop surrounding Arundel for around 3hrs so I must have done
something And certainly not single track.

Go and have a ride as i say very nice scenery take a camera
just obviously did not float my boat.

I am not into XC so this might be an energy rush to some but done nothing for me.

As its a private physio, they would need to pay buisness rates and insurance, heating etc, all things the NHS DOESNT HAVE TO PAY.

Errrm you are so wrong this all comes out of the Estates & Facilities budget.
And the strange thing is they have to pay VAT but cannot claim it back unlike private companies.

Was there a couple of weeks back visiting a friend
To be honest its like riding on canal paths with a little climbing
Some lovely views but that was about it for me.
You would only need a 80mm travel bike.

Mmmm. Telling us all how you voted is really, really interesting, but the question still remains. Yes, if you want to make it political then it will be political, but the problem is exactly that. The NHS is used as a political football, constantly, by both sides.

The Conservatives done the same with Interest rates until Labour gave control to the Bank of England

If what Tandem has linked and true, which will effect everyone within the country
and no ones happy about it. Then some how we should link and include trade unions and the whole
of the country should stop, which would shut down the country and walk to Parliament
including local town halls to voice your concerns.

I just can’t believe people voted for them again I just hope it will effect them worse.

My Dad would have died in the the Queens Hospital in Romford if I had not grabbed a
surgeon walking past on Boxing Day and thats a new PFI building.
    They totally foooked up!!
And for some bizarre reason my parents won’t take it further.

What are the chances of a drop in taxes if we privatise the NHS?

    Zero.
But they believe they are doing a good job saving money
and considering they screwed half our health care budget on PFI Hospitals
last time they was in Parliament and also done a great job selling off our railways
and busses that some how the TAX Payer still supports when the private sector screws up
and you can see how well a good job they done there, including flogging off our social housing.

There is no evidence that Tory policies enjoy widespread support among the general public. In fact there is plenty of evidence to suggest the opposite. And let’s not forget that, despite being in opposition for 13 years, Tory policies so unimpressed the electorate that they found themselves unable to form an effective government without the support of a rival party.

    That is so true.

    Hi Singletrack forum readers,

This thread has been brought to our attention by a concerned Nukeproof fan and we feel that it is appropriate to reassure our customers with a statement. We have had a small number of customers who have had issues with the chainstays on their Nukeproof Mega frames. An isolated welding issue was to blame and only a small batch was affected. We have replaced these chainstays free of charge within 2 days of being notified and are confident that the vast majority of customers will have no issues but if any further arise they will be dealt with as a matter of utmost urgency. The Nukeproof Mega is designed as a heavy hitting All Mountain bike and we wouldn’t want any of our customers to feel the bike is not up to the job. It has been extensively tested by the ChainReactionCycles/Nukeproof race team who have experienced no problems with their bikes and the vast majority of our customers have been extremely happy with their purchase. I hope this clarifies the situation, we are all away at Eurobike at the moment so apologies for the delayed response.

Brilliant response and professionalism of the company
Kills all worries and worth investing with this high attitude to business .

I only have sky hd, prompted by this thread I phoned them this evening said Virgin (who I use for phone and BB) had offered me a good package to move TV and they gave me 50% off for the next 6 months.

About to take this offer from Virgin Fed up with SKY and its Monopolies.

    Is Virgin Better?

OK re negotiate your terms and find a middle ground and carry on.
One thing is. There not doing that well is not your problem

I work under contract some times and like Tandem says your only there on the basis
on skills and thats it. May sound harsh but I work under contract sometimes and
you must always get your agreements in writing, which is the basis of the contract.

Reality is theres no friends in business.

A bit hard to understand being your a contractor and you should be working to that agreement
which is in your contract between you both.
But you seem to be mixing it with current employees.

Has I said unsure, so I would take it to an employee solicitor.
Or simply approach them and have a meeting and discuss your un happiness
then if still not happy, then do not continue with another contract once this one is finished.
But i would not leave Pardon the words on a strop and terminate working ties
just incase you will have to use them has a reference to your next working contract.

    hope the above helps

Fantastic bike. I swapped my Orange 5 AM for one (sold and bought)
It’s lighter, pedals better and is stiffer.
When I throw it into a corner it comes out bang on the right line I want.
The Orange can kinda skip a bit if it’s rough and loose. I used to like that about the Orange, but it’s slower.
When the Mega gets loose, you’re on it big time cause it just eats bumps.

Hi Skyline i am thinking of this frame or the Alpine 160 and coming from a Orange 5 AM
One thing i noticed with the 5 AM was the obvious difference of balance with the 160 front
and 140 travel on the rear.
Do you notice the difference of unbalanced travel of the 160 front and 150 rear?
And did you try the Alpine 160 before buying the Nukeproof!

Norton is a Virus within it self
What gets me is that after mine reached the end of contract I removed it
and then after a year with another antivirus provider I bought another
Norton and could not believe the warm welcome when I put the disc in.
The Norton disc knew exactly who I was even though i did not enter any info.

You can always look at the classified sections on the bike web sites and ask for the frame number!

Seems very strange to me to work hard your entire life, saving for your retirement, then give it away when you will most likely need it most.

    How true is this!

Maybe wise to tell the guys where or what you want to do with it
As there are some on here with good experience on tenting and backpacking.

My little experience with light weight tents is the condensation build up inside
so a Two day tenting can turn out to be a bad experience.
