/\Slightly confused, you say to set the crate up as a safe haven for the dog, but you put him in there when he’s done something wrong?
Surely this can only serve to confuse the animal?

I’ve had 4 dogs in total all from pups.
With the most recent one, a staf, we bought a 3ft cube cage for the kitchen as we knew there was potential for serious chewing.
    Best thing i’ve ever done.
Big cushion in the back and a toilet training pad in the front during the night. She was house trained at 14 weeks.

Is it a bitch or a dog? Bitches are generally much cleaner and quicker to toilet train.

My son started at under 9’s and is currently playing in an under 12’s team.
For me the parents have a totally different mentality to football parents.
He loves it, now almost to the point where he prefers it to football.
But the best bit is that you don’t get that one greedy little sh*t like you do in football, because they get smashed within the first 10 mins, once the oposition have figured out what he’s about 😀
(Sensible parents may be a Welsh thing, i’ve no experience in England)

I had a Legacy Outback, it was fantastic.
Flogged it due to excessive rust, but it was a 1999 model and the first 2 owners lived in Llanelli right next to the sea.
Never skipped a beat in 3 years, cam belt replacement did cost £250 though.
    Great car.

SV650. Very quick bike in experienced hands.

Bit OT, my boss went straight to a ZZR1400 having never ridden on the road before and he’s still alive, not the sharpest tool in the box though!!

Personally, and its a very personnal thing dog ownership.
I wouldn’t rehome anything older than a couple of months.
Mine is a pedegree dog but i’ve no papers for her, i have however seen and played with both her parents and 3 of her grand parents so i had a good idea what i was getting.

Problem with rehoming a Staf is that you’ve no idea what the poor thing may have been subjected to by some low life previous owner.

I’ve got a 14 month old bitch, short legged so not too big/ ‘ard looking.
She is fantastic with everything she’s met so far, i think familiarisation is the key. Letting them meet lots of humans and as many other dogs as possible as early in there life as possible.
I think the owner and what you yourself put into the dog is reflected in there behavior above anything else.

I’ve gone for half measures with mine using 440mm forks and a 650 front wheel with a standard 26″ rear. On my Rocky Mountain Vertex70 frame, meant for max 80mm forks, it works brilliantly.

I moved from Southampton to about 15 miles up the road from Afan 8 years ago.
It was great fun. We were moving on the saturday so got the boys round for a ‘moving out party’ friday afternoom/evening.
We loaded up the 7.5ton lorry i’d hired(with tail lift which is a god send) on friday and backed it up to my garage overnight for security.
    Left early saturday morning.
Myself in my car with stereo, my wife with my 2 kids and her brother in our other car and my mate and my dad in the truck.
Unloaded by mid afternoon leaving enough time for my mate,my dad and my brother in law to get the truck back saturday before 6pm
It was great to be in complete control of everything

If you get a new clutch fitted make sure you get your mechanic to make sure the starter motor hasn’t swallowed a load of bits.
My car(mondeo) had the starter motor replaced when it happened and its been removed for cleaning 3 times since.

    Oh shall i, shan’t i?????
Oh go on then..Pissed myself whilst asleep on some sofa cushions on my mates floor.
In my still pissed state i proceeded to attempt to dry the nylon carpet with a handy iron.
My other mate who was asleep on a 2nd sofa tried to stop me but claims he was laughting so hard he couldn’t speak 😆 😆

They just don’t look like they want it enough.

    Only had this happen once.
As with cats, if you catch em in the act turn the hose on them.
After 3 or 4 cold showers they usually get the message

I can see how it would be scary for a 3ft tall child when you consider what is directly in a 3ft tall childs eyeline when surrounded by 5.6ft-6ft adults, not nice..

Trailmonkey. I think you will find, that there are more registered pro rugby union players in England than any other country in the world.
I may well stand corrected as this was explained to me by a welshman, allbeit a very well informed welshman 😀

We’ll trip our way(England that is) to the final, which will be against New Zealand, who will choke, and thats it and all about it!!!! 😆 😆 😆

…the weather was terrible…..?they had the bloody roof shut 😀
If england had turned posession into points in the first they’d have been untouchable.
Second half was closer, england were, in the end, let down by a lack of effort in defence. Try scorer(i forget who) practically walked it over.

All of this is only applicable if you are already a super lean XC whippet.
Because it would be a far bigger benefit to loose 1/2 a stone off your person than loose 1000grms off your bike 😉
