OP, for DSG oil change I wouldn’t be messing about tbh. Not sure what dealers charge now but it used to be around £200.
To get genuine oil & filter, which you should use, was around £140.

When our 20+ year old Potterton packs in we won’t be going down the combi route.
2 people I know that have combis had issues in the depth of a couple of winters with them, 2-3 weeks without hot water and obviously heating.
At least we can use the immersion if needed and it is handy having an airing cupboard.

Sorry peeps for delay in replying.
    Coke not involved lol.
Unfit- yes that’s been playing up so bought a new lock regulator.
Crap – yes that’s snapped, so got a new one.

So got the door skin off ok no probs, followed youtube guides. The problem occurred when putting the doorskin back on after looking at the window regulator. This numpty thought he had put all the torx screws back in before putting the handle back on…….and yes I had forgotten to put the small torx in behind the handle….it’s a right PITA to try and get the handle off now as the carrier slides a bit when trying to slide the handle back.

Going to have another look at it tomorrow. Have been told that if I take all the torx screws out I should be able to get enough of a gap in the door skin to get behind and wedge the carrier somehow?

    Any other tips…?

    Wish me luck lol.

    Cheers.

Cheers for feedback folks. Kind of 50:50 then….
For cleaning the inside of windows mainly, thought it would ‘make’ me clean them more often rather than using a few drops of washing up liquid & water in a spray bottle and a few cloths.
    seem to be £40 – 80

I’ve got one of these bought years ago. Handle fell off yonks ago but it’s the best cleaning one having had a couple of others.
Usually take the chain off and shake in a container these days, well when I ride the bike lol.

You’re selling a bike. Buyers will want to look at it. They need to know where you are…

So you would tell them where you live then?

OP, sorry I’ve only just seen this sad post.
    Hugs for you both.

In the sprit of dairy calibrations I used a 750g greek yoghurt pot at 802g minus the 37g of empty container =766g of yogurt so my scales weigh heavy..
I now feel a bit sick and unsure what I’ll eat for breakfast tomorrow now the yoghurts gone.

Oh, should I be doing a mix of sharp sand and soil to dress the lawn?

    Thread bump.
Neigbour had some of that 4 in 1 stuff so I put that down last week and the moss is browning now, best to leave it another week I guess before I rake out the dead stuff?
I’ll buy a few bags of soil to dress the uneven areas before applyong grass seed.
Further up the thread it’s mentioned to feed the lawn afer a while, any partcular feed?
    Cheers.

So how is the change better for us now…..?
If you sold stuff when they had the £1 offer you only paid that plus 5% paypal fee yes?
    And now it’s 12.8% +30p…..
Haven’t changed it for our benefit have they, unless I’m not seeing it right?

What I did learn though is that the hole in the middle of the plastic “sliding” top in the grease tub is meant to have a cartridge / dispenser placed over the top of it and then pressed down, so filling the dispenser nicely, so saving the messy spooning is out business. Will give that a go !

OP, I’m being thick here, can you explain this bit please ta?

Not read all thread, but I won’t go anywhere near E.on from reading posts on here and elsewhere over the years. I’ve just renewed another year with Avro for what it’s worth and not tied in so can leave if something else pops up.

Thanks guys, will look into the info.

bang DPM over the bitumen as a cheap vapour barrier, then the celotex then some 12 or 18mm ply or OSB, then the bond liner which is highly likely to be EPDM rubber. Dont forget the edge detail. And you will need to glue the rubber down to the board.

This was my initial thought tbh.
Don’t want to use felt again, period. Want to try one sheet of roofing think it’s 7x5m but will measure up.

If its leaked I’d just replace with some new 18mm OSB3 then stick a EPDM on top and insulate underneath.

Can you explain the ‘insulate underneath’ please mate?

Think there’s a specific giant kit in a wooden box that some on here have used from memory?

I got felt up in the shed once.

    Hope he was worth it.

Be mindful of the growing weight on the roof.

    Hadn’t thought of that…..

If its leaked I’d just replace with some new 18mm OSB3 then stick a EPDM on top and insulate underneath.

I don’t think it’s been leaking that much and the ply looks ok, but if I need to take the felt off I can inspect then. Would use ply rather than stirling board.
I did insulate inside uder the ply with celotex boards but got really bad condensation so took it out.

    EDIT
So you paid 5% fee for paypal plus the £1 selling fee on the ‘deal’ weekends and now it’s 12.8% + 30p?

    granny_ring

Not if you can use PayPal with a low fee card (I use Halifax Clarity) and make sure NOT to let PayPal do the currency exchange.

Not thought about doing this, cheers.
