All I can report is what he’s told me at the moment
He has checked with works Occ Health and has been given the all clear to use and they are very strict on what medication is allowed or not.
So maybe it’s the old placebo the Cougar keeps on about 😂

Cheers, going to look into it some more.
All I can go on so far is what my mate has said and what’s happened to him.
I’m guessing that it’s more than placebo for him as his chest tightness has lessened enough not to have to rely on the steroid inhaler…..

Last hired a small car in Dublin in 2019 and it was so so cheap then. Not looked since but doubt it is now.

    Cheers guys.
Yes I think prices have jumped in Covid times, last I looked was Oct ’19.
@ andrewh – those ideas would probably work out cheaper but cba with the hassle tbh.
The Passat estate was cheaper than the first thought of a galaxy or similar, but yes I get the seat thing lol, will probably be a few stops and seat changes if we go for that options!

    @tj
    – are you on about CDW insurance? If so, yes I’ve done that when hiring a car in Dublin and it worked out cheaper so will look to see if I can do that hiring a car here and then take it abroad.

Watched it on Amazon boxing day.
I enjoyed it for what it is and yes, needed a toilet & drink break, so glad I wasn’t at the cinema. 😁

    @IHN
you might be right. I was going to initially do much the same starting with an APC then a bottle of upholstery shampoo. Then thought maybe I’d buy a Titan wet vac but then saw this at not much more.

Got an Ikea mattress, around £200 I think a couple of years ago. Having spent £500 – 600 on previous mattresses this was ok. But not long after I was finding it too hard so have tried some mattress topper which is still not enough.

Anyone tried one of the Dormeo toppers advertised on TV? Nearly as expensive as the mattress itself… :-)

    2.5k on presents……Jeez!!!!!
Please say that you can afford that and it’s not on the CC?
Not my business I know but if that expense is causing stress then it’s not worth it I say.
This year we chose to stay at home on our own due to health reasons, I have to say it was actually ok, nice ish food and relaxed.

Hope everyone got through the day ok.

Sold my park PC10 to get the Pro elite stand as I wanted to have a stand that I could fit easily in the car.

The stand is great, much more stable but agree, the clamp isn’t great but I’m getting used to it ie unwind a tad then push the quick release.

Got mine from Winstanleys, much cheaper than anywhere else, worth a look to see if they still have them, got the tool tray as well.

Not really a BF deal, but ProBikeKit (UK based – part of THG) are offering in-stock AXS Reverbs for some big discounts (>£150 off RRP).

Not all sizes are on offer, but pretty much all of the 30.9mm versions (125-170mm) are £540 or less. The 125mm is £524.

In 31.6mm, you can get the 125mm for £540.

Nothing going on the 34.9mm – the only option is 100mm at £665.

The prices are VAT inc and delivered in a few days. Includes the battery, charger and remote, so the full package.

    ProBikeKit AXS Reverb Dropper

WHAT…..Lordy I’m out of touch with Reverb prices thats just mental even at the sale prices ain’t it….?

From memory nothing works as well as Parks stuff but not spending that much on getting more of it lol.
I use degreaser in it when I use it. Usually take chain off and put in 1L milk container with degreaser and shake baby shake. Better job than the chain cleaner.

Sorry to hear about this OP.
We were in this situation Jan ’20 when a family member had to go into care with vascular dementia.
it was an awful & and stressful process to go through but we found a lovely home and they like it there which is nice to know, and they are SAFE. He lived alone and not being local it was a worry.
It sounds like your dad did everything he could for as long as he could. Hopefully he can see that and also get back his health.
It’s a horrible condition that will get worse in time and there will be lots of tears she’d in the future I’m sure but we take heart in that all the research into the homes paid off and they like it there.
    Good luck with it all.
